WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

Last night we went to the Branson CMA meeting ....had a great time....hope to keep going, and get set to do some rides with them soon.... that is part of the fun and then they do lots of good things and help support the national CMA which provides bikes for missionaries....

 

Oh the bathroom in the guest house looks so much better...still have some little things to do yet....the brushed nickel faucet and towel bars and paper roller look so so good. Need some fancies in there now.  Joe still has a leak somewhere in his pipes so he will have to take care of that n the morning....

 

Really had a good time at the Cma meeting....we rea having a get together again on Sunday after church at the presidents houses....hope to get to know them all lot better. Of course none of them could be a wonderful as our family is here.  I knew that you all were really great people but when people sign in form  another state. Well then...

 

 

Andy so how is Susan???? Wow it sure does seem like it really just make some of us to not feel the best in the world.....Susan , get well so you hear me? And stop worrying us.

Your babies are missing you ....they are really acting like they miss you all.

Has she had her leak test yet? And tell her she might need to start refusing some of the Tylenol with codene...i mean is she doesn’t just have to have it....that is great on going walking and the more she can do of it the quicker her body will get back to normal

 

 

SUSIE:::::so you think you wont have anything in your closet if you get rid of the clothes that are too big.....not having enough to wear is better than having not enough....anyway if you get rid of all of the ones that are too big for you and I mean everything . then you can go to the thrift stores or where ever and buy clothes for your style..

lol had to laugh at your description.....a big bald wrinkle lol ......sometimes that is how I feel not the bald part but the wrinkled part but still all in all I wouldn’tt trade the wrinkles for the fat it took to fill them back up. .

cant wait to see you on Monday and so tickled that you will be bringing Lynette too. I am axious to see her again. hey maybe we can get you some other passengers....Mary maybe? And anyone else ?

 

 

 

BEC::::; isn’t that the way when you are going to be so busy that you don’t have time to look up ...i take Sudafed almost daily to keep stuff away from me, plus a nasal spray morning and evening and any time that I am outdoors...lol

You know on your pictures I still cant find the one of Paul having a cooking lesson. Am I missing it"?

Your chicken house signs sounds cute...i saw a cute sign for a green house and didn’t get it and wish I had one ....it said    warning : trespassers will be composted ....lol

I know you are waiting for Jo to get home today ....and know that you will be having a ball with her there. So when the girls both graduate are they done with school then? Will they be looking for work in their chosen fields? Sure hope they get jobs close to you are close enough that you can see them often.

MARY:::::: is wonderful that you are doing so great.  The gas will go away soon, do you have some gas x strips? Put several in your mouth and let them melt....when I have had really bad gas I have eaten  4 or 5 at a time and .  done that about every 30 minutes till the gas was gone....

Hope you will feel like coming to the meeting Monday with Susie....would be great. I know it isn’t long after your surgery but would love for you to come if you could.

Stick with the program that Dr. H gave you to do and believe it or not in another week you will feel wonderful....

. it is sort of like following the yellow brick road....and you learn to be able to say no is the greatest feeling in the world. ...

 

 

 

BEVERLY B:::::: HEY  girly is good to see you again....sure wish we could really see you.  Is great that you are able to be of such a great help to your daughter, don’t let her overuse you tho.

The farther I get out from surgery the more energy it seems I have , of course this is the time of year I get in manic mood sort of lol ....so much to plant and so little time. lol ...

I got a huge package of seeds from Parks Seeds co. yesterday...veggies and flowers. Tomorrow I have got to get some of them in my seed trays so we can have some plants to get in the ground later.  But a lot of the veggie seeds I can plant directly in the ground too.

plant lol . so I will have enough to keep her busy when she gets home. She will be so busy she will forget that she might not feel as well as she would like lol.

 

Stalls can usually be broken by upping your protein and water. And exercise....eiter one or the other. Or all....and then some times you have to go back and do the all liquid diet  sfor a week ....make sure you aren’t eating any white things....you know sugar, pasta, potatoes, white flour, anything that is white is loaded with bad carbs.....

No you shouldn’t be thru losing weight. And even if you get to be 2 or 3 or more years out you can still lose weight. Just a little harder is all. But you are new enough that you should be still losing, like I said try one of the things I said ok?

Oh how great it is that you are getting involved with the CMA. That's just wonderful and all the good things they do is great too!  Enjoy your company this weekend.

I bet Joe is glad the bathroom is about done... and hope he gets the leak fixed easily.

Mimi I see Paul's pics on my profile I don't know why you can't?  Did you look in the all the folders?  They are showing up right on the first profile page under the pics part too... at least they are when I log on.

You asked what my girls are planning after graduation?  Both plan to go on for their next degrees in the Fall... Crystal will start her Doctorate in History and Jo is looking into her Masters in Business.... Crystal plans to come home for the summer.  And Amanda at this point anyway thinks she might be spending the summer working in Branson with the new health clinic they are planning to open.  Working in the business end of it.

I am so looking forward to Jo being home next week she will get in this evening!

Paul and I are going to try and get our taters and peas planted today if the ground is dry enough and then he still has a bit more to do on his chicken coop... be bought a LARGE water and feeder yesterday so we can be gone a few days if need be and they will be ok.  Boyee those "girls" have doubled in size in the short time we have had them. AND..... oh my goodness they just poop and poop and poop! ~tee hee  I'm thinking on names for them... so far Lizzy and Victoria and Tory.... I've been going to google names but just have not had the time.... I know Hester Sue will not be on of them! ~ha

It is to be a nice day again... and won't be too long before it's time to get out there and walk again... I'm having trouble getting Paul to walk with me this past week or so... he has been so engrossed in that chicken house! ~tee hee... I  love to see him on a mission!  I can just look at him and see the wheels turning in his head about how he is going to get something done! He is truly at his best when he is building something!

Oh!!!! the other day we were out there working and it started to rain so we put a chair in the garden shed and was going to wait it out ... there was only room for one chair so Paul said for me to set on his lap!!! Egads I have not done that in years and years and years!  I kept trying to get up so as not to make him uncomfortable but he kept putting me back on his lap saying ... "you are so much lighter"  oh happy day!!!!  that just made me feel so good!  I could set there as long as I wanted!!! And...it WAS a nice place to be!!! I just could not get it in my head that I was not too heavy so kept getting up.  Anyway... the next step will be when he carries me across the thresh hold!!!  It is my ultimate goal!  That and renting a ski doo and flying across the lake, without feeling like the great white whale! ~tee hee 

I also picked up my 50 new strawberry plants yesterday so will be working on getting ready to plant them.

I sure hope Andy and Susan will come stay the weekend if they need to... my Jo will enjoy getting to know them better if they do. I talked to Andy last night and I'm so glad Susan had a better day yesterday!  The Lord and Andy are watching out and taking good care of her!

Peggy Poo... I hope you feel well enough to go dancing tonight!  I always feel kind of like I get to go too!!!  I sure would if I could!  It just thrills me to hear you say each week that you and your husband did that... it's the kind of thing that keeps relationships strong!

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to come on here quick and post an update on Susan quick.  The doctors came in at 6am this morning and examined her and said she looks ready to go home.  Yesterday she was having trouble "passing gas" and Dr. Ferring said she wanted her to do that first before she will let her go so Susan asked for something to help her do that and sure enough during the night she finally able to "pass gas" so when they came in this morning they said she can go HOME!! w00t w00t!! So if they get her discharged early enough, which it will prolly be later this morning hopefully or at least by noon  we will prolly head on home, if its early enough we can take our time and still be home before dark and get a couple good nights sleep over the weekend before returning on Monday for her 1 week post-op appointment.  I was still asleep when they came in, how embarrassing.  lol  So thats all we know right now which is great news.  She looks alot better this morning and says she feels better, still sore but thats normal.  I just want to thank all of you again for your prayers, prayer really DOES work!!

***Jan*** Looks like we might be home this evening, we are missing the kids too and cant wait to see them, we'll have to becareful how they jump on Susan but she'll be so glad to see them.  We cant thank you enough for taking care of them for us and watching over the house and all.  Hopefully will see you this evening.

***Bec*** Thank you so much for the phone call last night.  Susan and I had decided to go ahead and take you up on your offer to stay the weekend,  now that she is getting out hopefully late morning I think we are just gonna go on home, she really misses the babies and we can get a couple good nights rest before having to come up on Monday.  Maybe we can stop by and give you a big hug today or Monday if your around.  You dont know how much of a blessing it was for you to take us in and stay with me all of Tuesday, it sure made my day blessed to have you there with me, Thank you so much again.

Well Susan wants to go for a walk so Im gonna get this posted and go walk and get things packed and get ready, hopefully we can light a fire under whoever has to get the discharge papers going  lol.  Y'all have a great day.

When I was walking in Wal~Mart yesterday I seen those stones you were talking about to do the bowling balls...they had great green colors but did not have any purple... they did have a burgany that would work if I couldn't find a bright purple... do you know where I could get purple?

I'm very excited to do one of those.  Have to find a ball first! ~ha  I always get ahead of my self.

Good morning all you OHer's out there! I trully do miss you all and want to get on here and post but there doesnt seem to be enough time once Ive read the posts...always heading out the door at a dead run it seems. Woke a little early this morning so I have a couple of minutes.

Tonight I take the JOY group to see the play at Stained Glass Theater and of course out to eat.

There always seems to be something to keep me busy.

Sunday I have to get up in front of the entire church and give a little speach about going on the mission trip this summer and I would really appreciate some prayers for me to say the right thing.  Then on the 29th I also have to sit down and do a video recording for church ministries. Im kinda nervous about both of them...

All my grandkids are doing great. I havent had to get the 2 boys everyday the last 2 weeks. Ive only picked them up about 4 times. That has been a good and well needed break for me. Today I have to run and get them and take them to their mom before I got pick up the Sr's at church for their outing.

Well, need to go so I can get to the gym for the workout.

YAY!!!!!  Susan is coming home!!!!  Sorry, but I got excited! 

And I lied...I feel amost as bad today as I did Wednesday.  So I must have overdone it yesterday...curses!  My husband is really upset that I won't go to the doctor....but what's the point?  By the time I could get seen (next week) it will have all gone away.  Tylenol isn't touching it.  I don't have any pain meds so I will down and take Excedrin at night.  I know....we're not supposed to have aspirin.  But I can't take the pain.  And I have too much to do today.

I'm planning on having lunch at the Tea Room with my friend, and then tomorrow breakfast with another friend.  She hasn't seen me since before my surgery.  Should be exciting.  I've known these girls over 23 years...  Then after breakfast I will go out to the farm and see what he has done while waiting for me to get there.  We are so close to getting the storage units emptied and starting the cleaning and staging.  Whew....I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Train??

I need to get started but I wanted to take the time and check on you all.  Sug...good to see you touch base.  I miss Janet, Deb (Pooh), Cor and so many of the others.  It's getting to be that time of year when we all have so much happening.  Jan....I don't know when exactly but I will be dragging a few of us northerners down there soon.  I want to see you and the others!

I am so happy Susan is coming is coming home. She will feel better being in her own home.

If there is anyone in the Ft Wood area who wants to ride with me to The COF meeting Monday night Let me know. I have room for a couple more people.

I have not been sleeping good lately and my energy is zapped. If I could take a nap it would help but I cannot sleep during the day and I have tried. I may try again today. My cat is part of my sleeping problem ,she wants to sleep on my feet. I wonder if losing sleep is part of the side effects from RNY? It seems like so many people have trouble sleeping.

Today is the first day of Spring. I hope it is really hear and the weather will act like it. I am ready for warmer weather.

Angie bless her heart. I hope the surgery goes well and the tooth is the problem. I am praying the pancreas is ok and there is nothing wrong there. The gallbladder won't be to bad to deal with.
