WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY
I have no idea what is going on with my post lately.....i am posting like I always have and then if I go back later in the day to post something (not on my whats happening post) it wipes out the whats happening post and I wind up with my second post but still have the responses to the W.H, post ...weirder and weirder lol ...
Yesterday we finished up the bathroom in the trailer, well not completely, we have to buy a new light fixture...the one that was in there was installed in the trailer at time of it being built. Lol from everything else that was in there looks like 60s anyway that is all we need in there now. I have to decorate it some....need some new towels to go with everything else.
Now to restore some order in the other rooms of the house and make the bed with fresh linens and all.....will be ready for them tonight.
We have a CMA meeting tonight and our company is meeting us there. Since they will be pulling into Branson about the same time. oh for you that don’t know CMA is Christian Motorcycle Association. World wide organization that has national headquarters in
Saturday I guess we will get the garden fence up ....so we can get it planted ....or at least some of the cold weather stuff. Like peas ....and such lol can barely wait to get some things growing....
So glad that Andy has his laptop with him and can use it to keep us informed about Susan...sure am praying for that girl.
And we are praying for Angie also , that the doctors there will find out what
Is going on with her and get to treating her right. .....
Beverly isn’t it fun to get a bunch of clothes and get to go thru them and find we can wear them.....size 16 huh....great...and:
Cor, that is neat that you found someone for the clothes. It is nice to see the clothes have another use .......
Seems like Sugar, Susie and Marilyn all have this regrets that they think they have been remiss with being a secret pal. But I bet you haven’t...
SUSIE:::: I maybe can guess why you are hanging onto the big clothes and even continues to wear them.....is it because you are wanting everyone to know where your were ? lol maybe?:?? who knows...i was more than anxious to get rid of all of mine...i did save a pair of pants and blouse just so I can look at them and say never again. ancd was a lot of fun to be able to put them on with my whole body down inside of one leg....and the shirt I saved is a t shirt that now comes below my knees and the sleeves come down almost to my wrist....almost no longer remember that I was that big,,,,,,I said almost...
TAMMY V:::::: Hey so sorry that you have been in pain.but hope they hit the spot when they go into block the next nerve....sure am glad that your kids live closer to you now than they did for a while. ....sounds like he has gotte
n a great job now. Im glad to hear from you again....wish you came on more often....but I understland pain.... I hope you get relief and
Hope the weather doesn’t turn off too cool.... oh I have most of B.R. cleaned and done. She is beautiful ...i took some pictures the other day before I started cleaning and then started cleaning her up.....that night I went to put them on the computer and they were gone. Darn wanted pictures of her all dirty....but will take some more tomorrow....and put them on my website.....i know a lot of people think I am stupid for wanting this old stove . but to me it is a piece of art cant wait to get her installed in my kitchen...We are going to take a small tank and hook it to it and see what happens outside.
Hope today is all you want it to be.....enjoy the day , since it wont be here ever again.

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Thought I'd get on here quick and give ya an update on Susan again. She had a much better night, her blood sugar is now down 115 which is super!! During the night tho it went up to 180 and they were baffled at why until Susan told them that the liquid tylenol with codine they give her for pain tastes really sweet, aaaaahhhhaaa that was it but this mornning its down to 115 again. They havnt put her on any liquids yet she's had nothing since surgery, hopefully today they will start the stage 2 clear liquids after she goes down for the leak test. Hopefully we'll get out of here by friday. Not sure what we are gonna do since we have to be back up here on Monday, may just stay up here and go home after her 1 week appt, not sure yet.
Jan thanks for taking care of the pups, so glad they are finally going out for you, that silly Chrissy just thinks she's queen bee around there LoL Cant wait to get home and start on the garden with ya, hopefully after monday i can get out there and do it to it.
Hope everyone has a great day, looks like its gonna be a bit cooler today.
Andy
P.S. Susan just went for a walk and did really well. And also wanted to say thanks go EVERYONE for all your prayers, they are working great!! Thank you Lord!!
Its Spring break at school so I have no excuse for not getting stuff done around the house. I am so far behind in everything. I haven't organized my craft room and I need to work on my closet again.
I seem to be stuck on the scale again. And my hair is falling out. I have done everything I could to stop it from falling out and its happening anyway. I hope it doesn't get to bad. Thats all I need and I will be a big bald wrinkle. I hope this stall doesn't last four weeks like the last one. If I get rid of all the clothes that are too big I wouln't have hardly any clothes. I would be wearing the same thing over and over. After school gets out for summer it won't be a problem but not till then. That is unless I do some major shopping. Being inbetween seasons has hurt. I need winter and spring sizes and the winter ones I hope won't fit next year.
I talked to Lynette yesterday and she is fine. She got the move done and is busy working on her yard and redoing things in the house. It is a big house.Congratulations Lynette. I plan on brining her to the COF meeting Monday.
Have a great day everyone.
Just wanted to pop on here and say thank you again for the blouses... I am wearing them almost everyday... it is nice to have something new to me and some of them that fit so well... I had jeans or slacks that went so good with EVERY one of them!
Thank you again! I pray you are blessed blessed blessed for your generosity!
Bec
P.S. I try and get that one with the flowers and hummingbirds washed right away after I wear it so I can wear it again! ~tee hee It's my favorite in case I have not told already a few times! ~ha
Boy is a nasty ole cold wanting to jump on me!!! I'm fighting it with all I'm worth taking Guaifenesin and a nasal decongestant it seems to be holding it at bay if I keep taking it every 4 hours... nasty ole drainage in the back of my throat and my ears are hurting as well... oh well, I've been very fortunate that with all I have been outside this past winter this is the first time I have gotten anything and I'm praying that I don't get down real bad with it. I just simply don't have time for this! ~ha
Paul continues to work on the chicken coop and it is coming along nicely. I am going to "pretty" it up some... I'm going to make some signs to put on it ... one at the door saying "no snakes allowed!!!" and another on e "Spring Garden Chics"... going to put a fake window on the door and maybe a fake window with curtains on the side... not sure just how much work I want to go to?
Paul has a meeting to go to this afternoon so I will do my grocery shopping for next week while Amanda is going to be home.... she has requested several recipes and I want to make them for her... Nacho Pie, Mandarin Orange Chicken Salad, pasta of some sort... we are going to start the fire pit and roast smoked sausages and mallows it's kind of a little something special we used to do together after Crystal left for college and I was missing her... and I'm even going to have ONE mallow! I simply love it that I can be happy with just a bite now where I NEVER could of done that before... I remember Janet saying to me several times before I had surgery... "I say NO because I can." And at the time I couldn't even fathom it... but I can now! and I'm so so so thankful for that! I know it also is a gift from the Lord!
I also hope Jo, Paul and I get to take another bike ride on the Katy Trail too. Maybe just maybe my bootie isn't quite so big on the seat! ~ha Will have her take another pic so I can compare it to the one she took last fall. I nearly told Andy not to post that one on my profile since it looked so bad but I swallowed my pride and let him. Hopefully I can get another one on there from this ride and not be quite so embarassed of it.
I hope to get some more pics posted while Amanda is home... I watched Andy resize the others so they would go on my profile but I'm not sure I can remember how he did it? He has been such a huge blessing to me in help with this new puter....every time he comes I have a little something for him to see to... he is my very own PCA! ~tee hee (Personal Computer Assistant) This time he uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office Ultimate that my Jo helped me purchase.... there was a problem downloading it with my slow dial up so she had to go somewhere with high speed and put it on a disk and send it to me.... then I prayed it would get here on Monday so maybe Andy would know how to get it to work and the Lord blessed me greatly and it came in the mail on Monday and Andy DID know how to get it to work... I did not have a word processor on here from when I bought it and now I have WAY COOL STUFF! All I will need! Glory!
Monday night Andy Sudan and I was watching Dancing With the Stars and discussing how we thought everything should go with the judging and all and all of a sudden Andy over there mimic~ed Juno Brunioloi (sp) and threw his hands up in the air and twinkled his finger and said "taaaasty"! I laughed until I though my innards would just burst right out! There was mild mannered, always calm, sweet Andy and all of sudden that popped out of him it was just too funny! (Sorry Andy I just HAD to tell on you! ~tee hee)
Then the day of Susan's surgery... from the minute we set down there in the waiting room about 8:30 a.m. till way into the evening... us on nothing but liquids... seen more food than you can shake a stick at... donuts were flowing all over that waiting room BIG ONES TOO!... then chips, pop, pizza, beef jerky, caramel popcorn... you name it and we seen it! It got to be just humorous... Andy said the Lord sure does have sense of humor doesn't He?... one guy even came in and told us of the great smorgasbord he had just ate in all the "juicy details"!!!! ... of coarse he did not know all poor Andy had had for two weeks was liquids! I had only been two days. There we are WLS patients and all we could see was FOOD FOOD FOOD!!! What got us in all the trouble in the first place! Like putting tequila sunrises lined up by the dozens in front of an AA participant! ~tee hee
All kidding aside it was simply wonderful to see Andy and Susan do so well and the perseverance it has taken for him to do what he has is simply AWESOME ... the Lord is blessing both Andy and Susan and I know there are great things in store for them!!!
Well I hear Paul stirring so I better get off here and get busy on the day... my baby (Jo) is going to be home tomorrow night and I want to get some pre~cooking done so hopefully I will not have to spend so much time in the kitchen. I am wanting to get outside as much as we can while she is here. And I want to get my taters and peas in as well.
I pray you all have a wonderful blessed day!
Bec
P.S. Pooh I sure missed seeing you at the hospital on Tuesday... I hope you are alright. I had some seeds from Mimi to give you. I will try and send them in the mail soon... kay? It won't be long and it will be time to plant them.
Good morning WLS people. ;) I'm so happy today because I'm off wor****il Monday and today is the day we head out of town! YAY! I'm soooo ready to just get away and laugh for 4 days straight! Last week I lost 4 lbs. So that puts me at -94. I think I'm going to make my -100 by 6 months! wooohooo! I'm getting ready to try on some 14's my friends started telling me to get some pants that fit. Hi, my name is Lou Rios and I have no butt. Yes that right zip, zero, nodda. I can't keep my pants up with a belt super tight, I don't really know what to do. I'm so happy to have such problems. ;) I'm so happy for Susan I know she's ging to do just great, now Angie I hope she gets better and in a hurry. Have a great weekend everyone! I'll have a glass of wine( well half a glass) and a toast to WLS! ;) Seeya all at the meeting on Monday! Lou (~.~) Life is like a garden....dig it! (That's for my momma who loves Joe Dirt )
My incisions do not hurt, I just have a LOT of bloating and gas and that really hurts. This morning I finally started passing the gas so I have a little relief, so I thought I would hop on here and let you all know I was home and safe. While I actually feel like sitting up. Hopefully the trail south will continue and I will be feeling much better tomorrow. Walking only seems to antagonize it more, but I keep following doctors orders and keep walking.
My kids were so happy to see me, my poor son though had a horrible day yesterday at school. There is an awful little girl in his class, well actually 3 of them, anyway this lil girl told him his mom was as fat as a planet. Bless his little heart, he was crushed. His is very protective of me, and it hurt me so bad to see him like that. I will be going to the school on Monday an speaking with the principal about moving him. They changed classes 2 mos ago and placed him in this class with these 3 girls who are just nasty to him.I told the principal then I didnt like it, but we would try it, I especially didnt like that they did this without speaking with the parents at all. At least 4 days a week he comes home upset, saying he hates school and doesnt want to go. He has never said that before. Well I am going to go ask that they move him back to the other class. Both classes learn the same thing, they only have different kids in the class and move back and forth between teachers. So it wont affect his education any. I just feel sorry for the poor kid, and makes me hope even more this surgery does what it needs to do and my kids wont be picked on anymore because of my size.
Thanks so much for all of your prayers and well wishes. They really did help. You are all wonderful and I appreciate your support more than you will ever know.
Glad to hear Susan is doing better.
Angie and Tammy I hope you are feeling better soon too.
Thanks again, I am going to try walking and go rest some more. Maybe try eating. It was kind of odd last night, they made pizza, which I love, but I honestly, even though it smelled wonderful, was not interested in the least. Barely could eat my jello. This am was only able to finish half a popsicle. I think I am following the yellow brick road. Seems almost too good to be true. Now just to watch the scale drop.
Best wishes everyone I will post again tomorrow.
Its been a long time since I have posted. The thinner I get the busier I get. Isn't that wonderful...
I am still watching my grandkids only now my daughter is going to school for her masters in nursing and working full time so I may as well be living there and taking care of them full time. Seems like I am there that much anyway. Guess I could be there nanny instead of there granny.lol. I am willing to help her out, it won't be for that long and then she won't have to work such long hours.
I can't tell you how good it felt to try on clothes and have them fit. I came across the 16's and decided to try them on just to see how far I had to go to get them to fit. Low and behold I pulled them suckers up and zipped them right up. I did the happy dance all over the house.. :) Now I have to be honest not all the 16s fit but that one pair did and thats all that matters to me.
I have been on a stall for about 2 months or more now. It is getting kind of depressing. I hope I am not finished losing weight. I am only 8 mo post op and I would like to lose another 40 lbs. I get all my protein in and my water is about 64 oz daily maybe I should try for more. And I have an awful time not eating and drinking at the same time. That is my only complaint. Otherwise I love love love my rny...
Jan you wear me out, where do you get all your energy. I have changed back to my prenatal vitamins. I was taking centrum but I was so tired all the time and my hair was falling out bad, my daughter who is a beautician told me to take prenatal vit for my hair. So I switched back to the spring valley brand at walmart and my energy is picking up and my hair looks alot better..
Guess I had better get off here and do something, don't know what yet.
Glad everyone who had surgery is doing better. Praying for a speedy recovery...
