Daily Bible Reading - Monday March 16th
Isn’t it beautiful when you see scores of tents camping in a field or camp grounds? Can you imagine what it looked like when Balaam looked out at them all camped? That must have been a site to see. I’m not sure how many it said there were out there camped but I can imagine from what we read it was more then just a few, I’d say thousands or so. Those were beautiful messages Balaam delivered from the Lord, God really spoke through him. It’s amazing how God can take the simplest of people and speak through them, sometimes not even knowing what your saying to a person is from God, I just love how the Lord does that. They all knew the words spoke by Balaam were from God though. I guess it was really was thousands camped because it was 24,000 that were destroyed for worshiping the gods of Moab and that wasn’t near the total that was there, my goodness.
Luke was so beautiful this morning, reading about the birth of our Savior, its amazing how the word got out quick that the Son of Man, the future Savior was born, that must have been awesome to see the bright star shining and laminating over Jesus, pretty much like you see in the Passion Play type stories. Like I’ve said before, I just love reading the 4 gospels, each one has its own unique version of what took place from the birth to the death of our Savior.
The devotional this morning is right on. I love the scripture it gave “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." How many times in our weight loss journey have we wanted to just give up and throw in the towel because were in a stall and haven’t lost in awhile or we thought it was just getting to difficult to do anymore? That’s me 1000 times over. Just like it says, the enemy is out there prowling around looking to see who has given up and whose faith is very weak. Well lemme tell ya, if we don’t give up and keep our faith strong we will be abundantly blessed and get stronger then we ever were in the past, so hang in there gang, we are going to reap a harvest that we will not be able to contain. That just excites me to now end!!!

Numbers 24:1-25:18
Luke 2:1-35
Psalm 59:1-17
Proverbs 11:14
Daily Devotional
Galatians 6:9
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
The enemy is prowling around looking for those who he thinks will give up on the faith, so that he can attack them and leave them powerless. Don't let that happen to you. When the enemy sees that you are going to stand firm on the truth of God, and that you are determined to outlast his attacks, he will surrender that ground and you'll have a victory in the power of God! So don't ever give up or lose hope in your faith, because God will never give up on you. It's certainly not always going to be easy, but it will be worth it when you fight and win the good fight of faith. Stay strong and move forward despite trouble from the enemy, and he'll back off when he sees that you're moving closer to God.
Today's thought: God, thank You for the encouragement from the Scriptures to keep going. Help me to keeping moving forward, constantly defeating the attacks of the enemy.
