Daily Bible Reading - Saturday March 13th

Now we are in the book of Luke, it’s going to be interesting to read how Luke writes about the birth, life, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.  I read where the book of Luke is the 3rd largest of the 4 gospels so it should be neat to see what extra studies Luke includes.  As we see Luke starts out right off with the Holy Spirit approaching Mary that she is going to be with child, I don’t know about you all but that is one of the most awesome miracles you can read about.  Can you imagine the how frightened Mary must have been knowing she was with child yet she was still a virgin?  I wonder if she was afraid of what people might think?  You know she must have been the talk of the town for awhile, or at least until it all blew over.  That’s also kind of neat how when Mary entered the house of Elizabeth and she her Mary’s voice the baby in Elizabeth’s womb jumped and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Again Psalms and Proverbs both speak to the heart.  I know I’ve said this many times but I just love how Proverbs is always to the point, no beating around the bu**** hits you where it hurts the most but speaks volumes to the soul.

***Bec*** hahah I can just see Tito running off those big dogs lol.  Our lil Chihuahua has done that a time or two where we used to live, our neighbor behind us there had several dogs all big and Mecko would see them, the hair on her back would stand straight up and off she’d go and those dogs would run like crazy  LOL so funny to see, just like God making those 4 sound like thousands, they all ran like crazy because they thought they were doomed.  Its awesome how God has a sense of humor and is serious at the same time, I just love it!!

Well I’m gonna get this posted, you have a great weekend, hopefully the weather will get better real soon.  Bless ya’s!!

Today’s Reading

Numbers 21:1-22:20

Proverbs 11:9-11

Daily Devotional

Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Christ doesn't want you to settle for mediocrity in any area of your life! His plan is for you to be victorious and filled with joy each day. No matter what has happened to you in the past, God wants you to pick yourself up and keep going on the path that leads to victory. The Bible says that if you will look to God, He will renew your strength and help you soar like an eagle. That's an amazing promise from an amazing God! Keep pushing ahead even through the tough times, and you'll be blessed.

Today's thought: God, thank You for Your promise of strength and endurance when I wait on You. Do not allow me to get stuck in a rut or give up on my journey with You.

Good Morning Andrew,
Great what you are doing on the bible studies!!!
I am adult Sunday School teacher at church, and I know it takes some time and effort with God's help to put this on everyday.

I do enjoy reading everyday, but today is the 14th.
Yesterday was Friday the 13th.

Brenda

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right..
Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.

If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,

they just promised it would be worth it.
