WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY THE 13TH

Michele called me the other day with some info about an antique stove that she had seen for sale and she had thought about me,......anyone ever watched Rachael Ray? There is an old stove in the background on her show....it is a Chambers 1954 beautiful stoves... any way the one I found is red and I talked this lady down to 150.00 I really cant believe it...yes it does need a few  parts replaced and it is so dirty that you cant see all the things on it but I see only one small spot on the porceline. ...i think about 3 or 4 hundred and it will be all ready to go into our house....this thing is heavy tho ...took 4 big men to pick it up and put it on the truck ..now it is on there what? Will have to find 4 big healthy men to help get it off the truck...i guess I will put it on the back porch and start working and cleaning on it. I have got to get some cleaner that wont scratch the finish on it but will get the old layers of grease and gunk off of it. it may take me a year to get it all done but I can just see it in my kitchen ...oh boy...i have wanted one of these for ever. ....

 

 

Had a great time today, but really tired now...so im going to  get to the answers  and hope I do all of you justice....

Wow didn’t know you had to put in a new furnace.... im excited about our road trip next month....been awhile since we did much together.

 

 

SUSAN::::::::hey we are really happy to help you all out with your kids lol I just hope we can get them to trust us enough so they can go outside some lol..silly little things. 

Was horrible today but I trust God will give you all a pretty day to travel on Monday...if the day is horrible God will at least guide you all and keep you safe....

 

 

TAMMY:::::: hey good to see you on line honey....we miss you....hey when are you going to come and visit us during a support meeting....i know you are always busy but we sure would like to see you again.

 

 

BEC:::::::LOL I  can just see Tito jumping into the chicks pen....he didn’t try to hurt them huh?  Rebel our dog all we have to do is tell him it  is his job to take care of them and he is very protective of what ever it is....since we got our chickens he was  very interested too and we told him that and he slept out there by the pen the first few nights. Now he goes to  his bed but it is very close to them anyway.  I have heard him barking late at night several times out there. Don’t know what he is running off but sure is running something off.

Im tired of winter to...ready for hot sun and being able to dig and plant to my hearts content.

So after you took the dogs to school and the kids to the groomers at what point did you realize that was wrong???? Lol just kidding.

I remember when I had to go to Sedalia to have surgery on Monday....will be 3 years in August...at that time I couldn’t even think of being this far out ...havent gain any back yet wow  that in itself is amazing.  How many times have all of us  lost weight and kept it off till the diet was over than here it come back ...well I guess that is the key since we never get off the diet anymore .....it isn’t a diet....it  is a new lifestyle....so wrap your mind around that and things will be great....good luck and is someone going to report to the board that you came thru surgery ok? If not your hubby can call me and I will tell everyone.   Email me and I will give you my phone number ok????

 

 

RENEE::::: OH wow I sure hope you get  to come to the support meeting... you couldn’t ride with Janet?: she is planning on coming....i hope so anyway....we need to see the new and improved Renee....

Are you feeling better about your daughter going off ? I hope so. Seems like the empty nest is harder to handle on moms that raised our kids by ourselves ...just you and your kids...but sure makes it hard when they grow up and leave....God is still there and he wont leave you ......love you...

Good morning to all.sure got cold again last night.like jan said we are all ready for the warm weather to come back.here it is 200am and i am up wide awake and drinking a hot cup of clear broth.i guess i am soo excited about leaving for columbia soon i cannot sleep.

the time sure has flew by fast.seem's like i just started my liquid diet and surgery time is almost here.4 more day's from today.andy has been such a big help to me with the liquid diet.he already has wrote down each week for me what i can have and how much.he has been walking with me too.i am walking a little futher each day.each day i go out to check on the chicken's rebel is there waiting and he start's to tell me time to go walking.lol.

sugar it sure is good to see you back on here.sound's like you have been a busy beaver.where did you get your clear liquid protien drink from.i need some for my first week home.

susie glad to hear you had a great time with bec and marylin,and vesta.bec is such a sweet hostess.

mary we are praying for you.have a safe trip this weekend.please let jan know or someone post for you how surgery went for you on monday.hope we all get to meet you some time.

renee it sure hope you do get to come to the group on monday.we wont know you.your picture's look great.we know you miss your daughter but god is still here with you and you have all your friend's also.

oh yeah Susan it snowed like crazy most of the day yesterday south of here, in Eureka Springs , big heavy snow flakes and sleet , my daughter was getting worried that it was going to start sticking to the trees and stuff ahgain. but it didnt. but down farther down in Arkansas Joe brother called him and said they got about a 1/2 inche of sleet and freezing rain and then about 2 inches of snow on top of that....He lives in Arkansas close to Memphis....I guess all of that stu herff they thought was coming here drifted farther south.....

Jan I talked to my brother yesterday too, he lives way down south arkansas by El Dorado, they were getting a bit of freezing rain then turned into plain rain. Sure glad all that stuff missed us, we got a few flurries here while you were gone, only lasted a couple mins.

I gotta go get blood work early this morning, shouldnt be to long though, y'all holler at me when you get ready to unload the stove off your truck and I'll come over and help, we're just gonna stop at the store quick and visit her dad a few mins after getting blood work then we'll be home, got a very busy weekend, more then just getting ready for Susans surgery, will explain to ya when we get back.

Good Morning Mimi and Mo....

Sounds like you finally got that stove you have been wanting... you will have to be careful... are you going to use it as your main cook stove?  Is it gas?  Sure don't want you to burn your house down!!!

No Tito does not try and hurt the chicks he is mostly just curious I think... he just sniffs them and then goes to the other end of tub and cries to get out! ~ha

I'm real excited for you and Sugar to come the end of next month as well and to see all the others that plan to come to Peggy's sale!  Oh heck I'm going to be thrilled to see Peggy Poo too!

Now.... boy did I have a wonderful time with Marylin, Susan and the tiny bit of time I got to see Vesta! I was sooooooooo disappointed that I did not get to chat with her more since I don't hardly ever get to see her... she is just a beautiful lady!!! and so sweet and precious!

Marylin, Susan and I went out to Golden Corral for lunch and had meat! ~ha and I even had a bite of wickedness!  I should have posted this on Peggy's thread but did not see her yesterday's... maybe she was par~taying for her birthday! ~tee hee

Anyway... I got this about 1.5 inch square of some type of yummy looking cheesecake with caramel, choc chips, nuts with choc syrup drizzled over it... I cut into four tiny pieces and started to take a bite and knew it just wasn't worth it so... I scraped just the topping off and ate it... less than a teaspoon and that was enough... boy does it feel good to be able to do that!!!!  It simply thrills me that I can say NO!!!! and not feel like I've been cheated!!!  I really really thank the Lord for that!

Then the ladies Marilyn, Susan and I went over to Stage where we found a good $5.99 sale... I got a blouse (size medium ~ I'll have to PRAY!!!) and the other ladies got several items as well. But then!!!.... I went shopping in Susan's trunk!  Oh boy was that fun!!! I don't even know if I can wear the things... most of them I think are already too big but even if I can were them just a time or two it will be fun.... I got this beautiful shirt with flowers, birdhouses and butterflies on it... goes with jeans... I think if that one is too big I'm going to take it up... I like it so well!  Mine and Susan's taste are much the same... it was great!

Marilyn thank you so much for lunch and Susan for the clothes! It was ever so fun spending time with you both!

All the ladies were so sweet and did make me feel better about myself...even though I cannot tell that I have lost much weight... a little but not much....they said they could and were so complimentary!!!  That sweet NeNe (Vesta) kept saying.... I'm so proud of you!!!!  I could of just squeezed the stuff'ns right out of her and brought her home with me for simply months!!! 

I sure hope I get the chance to have her here sometime in the future!  I just need a few days to get to know her better!!!  I would dearly love to make one of those bowling balls with her!!!  Would be so fun!  I would make mine purple and green to go along with my grape theme out side.  I'm going to start looking for old bowling balls when I go to garage sales... this sounds like something I need to do for sure!  Oh boy another project!

Well I have someone coming at 1:00 and have work to do to prepare for that so I better get started and it's time to get out there and walk too... I think tomorrow I will actually get to rest all day! That is if Paul does not have me doing something.

AJ will be home "next" Friday for a whole week!!! I'm very excited about that!!!  We are hopefully going to go bike riding again if the weather is nice enough.

Good Morning all...

I think we should all petition Mother Nature for spring. I dont know that it would do us much good but it is a thought. I guess God isnt ready to give us the wonders of Spring yet. But I keep telling myself it is just around the corner.

Busy day today. I was to have the day off,  but have a million things to do to get ready for my business trip and my trip to sedalia. I had to break down and buy a new business suit yesterday for my trip. I had nothing that would do the trick. That was very dissapointing to spend the money on it this  close to my surgery. But I figure it was 35 and I can pay to get it altered at least once and make it last a bit longer. Always easier to bring it in than let it out. Now I actually get to bring it in... WOO HOO!!! I am so excited to have that to look forward to.

Jan-  I am a Family Program Assistant for the Army Reserves and will be conducting and assisting in the moving along of other speakers for families of deployed Service Members.  I am pretty excited. I started this job back in late Oct. and this is my first official trip I have been able to make to do this. I am very excited. You can call me on my cell, which also has email ability if you want to meet. I have to be there at 7 am - 5 pm. My hubby and kids are going along to sight see, while I am stuck inside. But I love what I do and I am getting paid for it, so I am certainly not complaining.  I used to be the leader of our Family Readiness Group in my husbands old unit, did that for a LONG Time. So I was very excited to obtain this job where I can do what I love and get paid for it.

I will email you offline my cell phone number and email address. So you can give me a call on Sat. we will actually be there tonight since I have to be there so early. So if nothing else we can meet at my hotel this evening. I would love to meet some of you and thought I would have to wait for the next meeting. Which I need to know when and where that is please.

Then you will also have my number for Monday. My hubby will have my phone that day, as that is the only number my mother will call and my kids know. They never call him and I have both our numbers posted on a board in our kitchen. But anyway, he will have it with him, whether he likes it or not.  LOL.

I didnt know I had taken the kids to the groomers or the dogs to the school until the teachers called me asking where the children were. I was so glad that day was over. This week has just been crazy all the way around.

Well I better get off of here. I have laundry to do and a house to finish cleaning and still have to take my son to get his ID card. Both kids are still sleeping... I love the peace and quiet. So I am gonna go take full advantage of it.

I am heading out to see the gang at the lake this morning. I had so much fun yesterday I though I would go have some more. DH even said tell them no if I didn't want to work so thats what I did. I may even have to check out some sales. I have been told to many times my clothes are to big. Everyone at work says I have droopy drawers and yesterday my sweater was too big. I am having fun buying clothes.
I could not believe it when Marilin got me to try on the size 10 dress and it fit. I was in shock. Just proves sizes are not acurate. I still find some 14's tight. Its just a number and at this point I don't care what it says as long as its not in the plus size dept.
I have a lot of them(plus size) still in my closet waiting for that one more wear before I get rid of them. I do wish I had someone to pass them to. I know there aren't many people bigger than 22 and being short doesn't help. If anyone can use them let me know. I will take them and donate them next week if nobody can use them.

WOOooOOHooOOO! I'm back on the weight loss, that was a ****ty week of not loosing.  I regrouped and laid off so much working out and ate even a few more carbs this week and voila!  I hoped in the scales and I'm down 2 lbs! YAY!  It really sucks being on a stall, especially since we eat like a bird, work out like a crazy woman and take all these vitamins, then to step on the scale and loose nothing, it makes me crazy.  Hopefully I"m on my way to my -100 by 6 months I'm now -92 HA!  I'll take it.  Anyone wear 20's?  I have a couple of pair of 20's LEI stretch denim that are dark washed and boot cut.  I didn't wear them too long so they still look new.  I will have some 16's soon, I think about 2 more weeks and I'll be in 14's.  Yesterday was a crazy day we took all 4 dogs to the groomer.  OMG they love to ride in the car but when they see the groomer office the excitement comes to a screaching halt. LOL  The house was so quiet.  They were gone for 6 hours, we picked them up and they slept all day and night, too funny.  They get so worked up it wears them out.  My grandma says its the same way for her to take a bath and get ready anymore, LOL she's 78 ;) Well I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  Lou (~.~)
