WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY
Tuesday well we still haven’t had any rain down here to speak of....had a fast hard rain on Sunday but nothing since, that doesn’t keep the barometer from falling and making me feel like --------- well yeah like that. When the barometer drops my body just doesn’t like to do anything but hurt...i am miserable and all I want to do is sleep...i started on the antibotics yesterday afternoon and now my feet want to cramp up all the time , wonder what that is about? Crazy huh? I have been drinking extra water but still isn’t what I need I guess. Maybe more calcium or magnesium? Anyone know sure wish we had an expert on vitamins on the board...i read a lot about them and think I know what I need but dont know enough...my daughter in Az has a certificate in completion of studies on vits and minerals....but I tell you what if you keep adding things to take because of this or that you soon have a lot of pills to take ...lol I need to back off on some of mine I do think......
Just got off the phone with a girl that I knew way long time ago ....weird how someone can track you down lol at least this was someone that I liked...she was able to track me down by public utilities . she said she has this program that you can buy that does that ...so I guess unless you change your name people can find you , if they can remember your name lol ...
Finally around dark it started getting wild looking bad, the wind started blowing and started raining...rained hard and the wind blew and the rain came down....we haven’t had any rain or wind and all of you north of here have had. So we had it all
at once I guess. Lol
Joe and I worked cleaning out grass roots out of the garden , sounds like ok now your ready, well no because neither one of us could last for too long...I was hurting way too much , when the rain is
coming in it feels like someone is beating on me. And Joe just had those shots done yesterday so we neither one of us could do much today. I don’t know if it is because of the antibotics im taking or not but I feel really tired and not well at all , the only thing is that my back isn’t hurting as bad...
BARB... so you have been able to lose all the weight you have and still drank diet soda?
I bet that was hard to not have any guide lines to go by after surgery....did you at least go thru eating really light at first and all?
I have had to more or less quit walking because of my knee. It just wont take a lot of movement like that. And gives out on me a lot...
So I guess this fall I will HAVE to get my other knee done and im going to have to have my right knee checked and see what is going on with it...i had it replaced and for the last little bit it is catching and hurting. Too.
SUSIE::::: yeah I guess that is bad having to go to work when it is dark, I wouldn’t like that...
Lol well im glad that the clothes are older ones from before surgery , I thought you really had been on a shopping spree. Lol
I had a huge amount of clothes to get rid of before I had surgery. I was in for all I was worth. I had surgery in August and I had 4 big black plastic bags of winter clothes alone that I took out of my closet and said by the time winter gets here I wont be wearing these . so I got rid of them lol and I was right I couldn’t have worn any of them by winter. I guess when you are the same size (fat) for a long time you get a lot of clothes in that size.
SUSAN:::::::6days wheeeeeeeeeee actually 5 days and a wake up....are you ready???? I know you are. Does it seem now that all of a sudden that it is almost here? Yippppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I guess today you will be getting all that you need....for next little bit...have been meaning to ask you. Do you need another shaker mixing cup? I have an extra one , if you need it...holler and let me know.
MARY:::::::what is the protein drink you are talking about that has 40 grams of protein in it. Lord girl if you are dumping now what are you going to be doing after surgery. You need to call Dr. H. and tell them what you are doing ok? Really you do.
Yeah on my hubby they have said they can do back surgery but NO. I am a retired nurse and I have taken care of lots of back surgery patients and none of them have ever done any good. ,they just trade the kind of pain they have...so what is the sense of it.. I know a lot of people do it in desperation because of the pain but it has been proven that re-hab stretching helps more than surgery but it is hard to get anyone that has back pain to do it lol the shots do help him some and give him 6 months at a time that are fair ...
5 more days and you will be in surgery....are you excited ???? be sure and call Margie or dr. h. today about how you are feeling after drinking the shakes. Might need something different.
LOU:::::::lol you have to have stalls here and there alone the way. Keep doing all you are doing and it will break ....
Sorry to hear about your friend...that is really sad and to be so young. I am praying for his family and friends. It is hard to lose someone that you love.
BEC:::::::That really sounds like fun to come and stay all night with you before Peggys sale...i will see if I can get Sugar to do that. But sounds great to me....and I would love having some of your mineral tubs. Thanks for thinking of me.
I know all of that stuff wasn’t funny to you when it was happening and im sorry I laughed. Hopefully one day you will be able to laugh at it...
Im so glad you were able to do something with your new hair do. Did you see in Lou’s post about some pills she is taking for hair and skin...aloe ...
Yes I have done that with sweet potatoes with the toothpicks and water glass....makes a really pretty vine.
The short zinnias will look good around your flag pole . I think you will like them . they are so easy to grow and don’t require a lot of care.
You might like the strawberries out there too , who knows. Lol but they do require watering ...
BRENDA::::: are you having fun with that new baby? I bet you are.
Don’t you take meds for the fibromyalgia other than just pain pills? They have come a long way with treating it haven’t they?
Did you all get a rain storm? We did for awhile.
Janet posts once in awhile but she has the new granddaughter and is living for her ...lol
Hope you get to feeling better fast. Take care of yourself....
HUGS AND LOVE
GOD BLESS

Yes, I have drank diet soda and still lost all my weight until just this past year. I have gained about 20 lbs. I have noticed for the past year my appetite has been increasing. Hungry (or think I am) all the time. Has been better since laying off the diet soda. It has been really hard without written guidelines. I still have to eat light most of the time. Pouch wouldn't allow anything else. Really I think my problem with eating more began after the internal hernia surgery when I lost more intestine. Tests proved that my food travels so fast that it makes me nauseated most times but, I have learned to live with it. I will get the extra weight off! My tool still works.
Sorry about your pain. Something must be wrong with your replaced knee or something, I don't think they are suppose to hurt are they. You would know more than I about that.
Wish we could all get together more often. June seems so far away. Miss all of you and have you all in my prayers each day!!!

It's interesting to hear you all talk about the soda... you know I went thru Christmas and made goodies for my family and all and even made Paul my very favorite fudge at Valentines and it did not bother me... but the one thing I am craving is a real honest to goodness Pepsi... not diet either! I was not a BIG pop drinker before surgery but did once in a while REALLY enjoy a Pepsi. Now I can't EVEN let it near me! I have been fighting this since about a month out of surgery... my mind thinks... just shake the fizz out and go on ahead and have a little it maybe you won't even like it and then I would have to fight the urge all the time... I have not had a drink of pop for well over 6 months but boyee I'm tired of wanting it.
I guess the fizz doesn't stretch the pouch huh? Anyway I guess we all have to have something that the ole devil can try and torment us with!
I sure hope you are able to get back to your walking when the weather gets better and you feel better. After all you are the reason I have done so well with it! ~tee hee You were my inspiration back in the beginning! Now maybe I can repay the favor?
Blessings to you and if you want to or are trying to get off the soda I really hope you are successful!
Bec
Dr. H always told me it can not stretch the pouch. But, I do think it made me more hungrier than I should have been.
I have been getting back into the walking on good days. Baby goes with me and loves the school track. I imagine it is easier on her little feet. Thank you so much for the compliment on being your inspiration in the beginning. I do want to be a testament that our pouch works when we need it. I didn't go through all that I have to gain all my weight back. I want to let my tool work now before it gets out of hand.
Can hardly wait to see you again!

Barb...
I know you will be successful in getting whatever weight back off that you want to... and boyee do I know what you mean about not going thru all this to gain back the weight!!! This is just too hard!
That's great that Baby goes with you and that she is doing so much better after all that trauma of the accident!
Tito loves to go when Paul walks with me but he (Tito) can only go about a half a mile before he is lagging behind and then Paul picks him up and carries him the other 3.5 or more miles... I could NEVER carry him even just the 4 lbs would kill my back! So he has to stay home unless Paul is walking with me.
I would love to see you again too!
Know that I will be your cheerleading section on getting the few lbs back off and you can PRAY ~ha for me that I will not drink the EVIL Pepsi! ~tee hee
Blessings to you!
bec
I'm so sorry you and Jo are hurting so badly! I know it is just aweful to hurt all the time! I will be praying you both find some relief!
I did see where Lou is taking Aloe... I have taken Biotin for the past 8 months or so and can't tell it has done any good for my hair or nails... my nails are still thin and just rip at nothing. But maybe I could change the Biotin to the Aloe for a while and see if it helps?
I was going to put those short zinnias in the planters around my fountain... the ones with the purple bows on them. I'm not even sure I will get the flag pole done this year... I hope to but it's just so expensive for the paverstones and it's what I want there to match the two fountains I already have, so I may have to wait.... will just have to see at this point....
The strawberries are to be in tomorrow so I will pick them up when I go into see NeNe and Susan.
Say NeNe and Susan we better make some plans quick! Do you want to meet up before your appts or after? Or I can go set with you while you wait? I'm up for anything.... I will just be thrilled to see you both! We could meet for lunch or afterward as well... I will wait to hear from you gals...?
Mimi ~ Oh what fun it would be to have you and Sugar up for a visit! and what fun it will be to go to Peggy's sale too... maybe we will see Barb there as well and maybe Debbie D. might want to come on over... we could do lunch or something as well??? Just thinking with my fingers?
Well I can't stay around and chat this morning as the "queen bee's" are coming back for there chicken salad ~ha and I have a lot of work to get done yet... I'm going to make them a cheese cake as well ... Paul is happy about that!
Have a good day all.
Bec
Have a few minutes to get on here and say thank you for all the prayers yesterday. Mark was extremely cranky before the test but when I got him home and he could eat a little, he was better. Then the second part of the test was quick and he was back to his normal self. He was nervous before the treadmill so his blood pressure (bottom number) was high but it went down during the test. The top number went up (like it's supposed to) and I had to research why the bottom number went down. Looks like that his vessels were dialating and more blood was flowing so that's a good thing. Now we are just waiting on results.
My test results came back clear (no cancer!) so I just need to find a doctor to help me figure out why I'm doing this. I STILL think it has to do with my thyroid meds but I CANNOT find someone to listen to the whole picture and not just LOOK at my stinking numbers....sigh!!! I'll get there, I'm just tired of dealing with this.
I don't think I get to possum wrangle on my own this week...(happy dance). The generator is acting up so he brought it home to get somebody to look at it. That leaves me with no lights, no radio and more importantly, no heat! And I just get too cold not to have something to keep my tootsies warm. Besides, my birthday is this week.... (actually I claim the WHOLE week)....so I shouldn't have to deal with George on my special day. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it!!!! Unfortunately we will go out Saturday....but we are making progress....
He went back to work today (thank God....I love him but GO TO WORK!!!) so I should be able to get my stuff done for a change. And I need to get a lot done. Then I have Shelia this evening. So I will be back tonight to check on you all. Love you and miss each and every one of you....

Life isn't about about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
Home early again today - sighing very heavy!!!
Actually started some seeds yesterday - roma tomatoes, cabbage, jellybean grape tomatoes, mini bell peppers and the burpless english cucumbers in a seed tray. Got it setting in the kitchen window covered in plastic wrap and misted with a lot of water. Keep those fingers crossed...
Truman State Univercity students are having a "Big Event" again this year so I signed up and will have 4 college students come to the house saturday to rake the flower bed & herb garden and clean up the patio for me. They do all kinds of things for the community during the big event day. I thought it was to much to also put down for washing windows also - LOL. The city has a big spring clean up the last week of the month so I am going to get busy with what to toss to the curb and what to take up to the mission store. I want to declutter as much as I can. I have given most of my to large clothing away and now need to start on all my junk that I have not used in the last year and pitch it!
Bec - were you able to wear any of the clothes or are they to big for you? Just give them away to who ever needs them. I love my special Easter treat. Have it sitting on the table as it is so cute.
Susan - be sure and get some of the protein jello from medifast there in Columbia to have after surgery as it really helped get my protein in. They even have broth with high protein and shakes also.
Take care - Sandy
