good anxiety

Last night I have encountered something for the first time.  All of my life I have shopped in the plus size department. For a time, I was even too big to wear from clothes for Wal-Mart. I was forced to wear whatever fit.  At last count I have lost 180 pounds and still have 40 pounds to goal. To make a long story short, I need to buy some professional clothes. I’m naked!!!  During my journey I have shopped at Goodwill because I would wear something a month then it was too big J Last night I went shopping at Macy’s OMG!!! I was over whelmed with anxiety. It was my first time shopping for clothes and I was not in the chubby girl, plus size, find something you hope that fit department.  As I browsed the racks in the misses department, I thought am I in the right department, will anything fit? As I walked into the fitting from I found my hands and knees were shaking.  I tried on a pair of size 16 slacks and it FIT, next was an L a blouse and it fit, they looked good. Next, I went to three more stores it was wonderful feeling shopping. When I got home, my husband was shocked that I didn’t buy anything after being shopping for four hours. Now I have to work on buying clothes!!!! If you have been fat all of your life you never wanted to try something on or look at yourself in the mirror.  I have to keep telling myself that I’m worth it and the clothes look good on me and I need to get over the sticker shock…..

I am also freaking about the styles. I am used to the plain jane plus sizes and whoow  there are none in the regular dept. I am not sure what to pick. The selection is almost to much. I never know what to get and usually don't buy.

Susie im sort of like that too.....sometimes... when i am needing some new clothes i usually call on Sugar to go shopping with me....maybe that is what you need is to get someone to go with you that will tell you like it is...you know that they arent afraid to tell you NO or Yes....I get to thinking that all those pretty colors and stuff is way too young for me....

Girlfriend you are AWESOME! Congradulations on your loss! Hoe freaking exciting to have these milestones!  You are doing fantastic and look Amazing!  You should be so very proud of yourself its hard work! Enjoy your new found freedom! ;)

wow Jane your picture is so cool.....you need to get someone to go shoping with you so they can help you decide....that is amazing 180 pounds.....and you were so sure it wouldnt really work....pat yourself on your back (you can do that now )lol....see you at the meeting on the 23rd???? hope so...
