Still in pain despite mag citrate
The mag citrate has been working....I've been running to the bathroom all morning. I thought I'd be fine, but once I was up and moving around fixing the kids' breakfasts and my own, I started having more of that pain. Now it's mostly under my right ribs. It hurts so bad! I'm going to call Dr. Price and see what he thinks is going on. Everyone down here just thinks I'm constipated. But if that were the case and the mag citrate took care of that you'd think I'd have some relief of pain right?
Anyone have any words of wisdom?

BRANDY!!! I HAVE DR. PRICE'S DIRECT LINE! IT IS 816-932-4621! Please call that number instead because Adriene is so busy it will take her forever to call you back. I have used that number a couple of times and he usually will get back to me in a couple of hours. Please let us know what is going on! I hope and pray that it is just gas!

Thanks Cassie, but I just got a call back from Adrienne. Dr. Price isn't in town today. I have an appointment for next Wed. Adrienne told me to eat light and take tylenol for the pain. If it gets worse to go to the ER. She said it could be that I'm just taking longer to get over the constipation fully.
So, I guess I'm going to be lazy this weekend and not do much since it hurts to get up and around.

Brandy:
Are you having any other symptoms? I had horrible pain on my right side and my lower back about a year ago. They thought it was a gastric fistula, however, it turned out to be an internal hernia. Dr. Hornbostel had to go back in and repair it. It was a relatively easy surgery and a lot better than if it had been a gastric fistula. He said you can develop an internal hernia after losing so much weight in such a short time period. I had rny back 3/5/07 and developed the internal hernia in January of 08.
Take care and keep us posted.
