Anthem BCBS Missouri???

Does anyone have Anthem BCBS of Missouri?

If so...did they require the 6 month supervised diet pre-op?

Please help! 

My husband is losing his job and will only be insured through the end of May.  If they require the 6 month diet, I'm not going to be able to do this... :(

Go to this web site.  I use to work for BCBSMo.  This gives you the policy they have to go by.

I read it all and I don't see any mention of the 6 month pre-op diet mentioned, of course I'm sure all plans are different.  I'm hoping it's a good sign.

I have BCBS of California but I live in Missouri, I don't know the deal, but I wasn't required a 6 month diet.  I just had to follow protocol, like attend seminar, get a letter from PCP of med necessity,  tons of labs, see a nutritionist, a sleep study, a psych eval and I think that's it. Once I got all that done it only took like a week to get approved. Hopefully things will happen fast for you.  Best of luck!

I have Anthem BCBS of Wisconsin. (DH's work) No diet for me pre op. Just had to prove medical necessity and follow doctor's protocol ie., sleep study, dietician visit, exercise physiologist, psychologist, etc.
