stupid tailbone And panni removal HELP!

Ok i've posted this problem before but I need help!! My tailbone instead of getting better is getting worse, I cannot sit at all without pain, I have had to stay on my feet or lay on my side for about a week now (THE PAIN STARTED GETTING REALLY BAD ABOUT 2 MO.S AGO ,sorry didn't mean to cap that!), been on the computer 5 min. and have to get up since I cannot shift much in the seat. Worst case scenario..surgery???has anyone else had to go that route.? how bad is it?, I used to think NO WAY would have to be too painful, but at this point I don't see it much worse than it is now. One more thing, how far out do you have to wait before the removal of the hanging panni? almost a year out, down 130 lb.s and have slowed weight loss to a few lb.s a month, I would of course still like to lose at lease another 40 some lb.s to be below 200.....haven't been the size I am now since after my first child 26 years ago, but the huge hanging skin from my chest and stomach are impeding exercize at this point, rashes and backaches mostly, not to mention all my pants are so far gapped in the back as to be indecent (britney spears i am not lol) And what will medicare (not medicaid) pay for? and where do I go to find a medicare approved (or will accept medicare) surgeon??please answers please!

the tail bone hurts because of losing the little pad of fat that covers it,,,dont think there is a surgery that will fix it ...maybe plastics anyway
usually they want you to be close to your goal before doing panni removal which medicare will pay for...if there is other hanging skin that is causing serious injury i think it is case by case...
we have a plastics guy here in Springfield that will take Medicare...there are a few others around the state also....

I had the same trouble with my tail bone but didnt last that long...

Dr Hawes in Springfield did my skin removal, I have medicare and a supplement, and mine was a health issue so they paid everything ...every case is different... I really liked dr. Hawes.....vesta

Vesta, Thanks for your answer, May I ask what you had done, and what type of "proof" of health issues you had? I haven't been to the dr. for rashes I tend to take care of it myself, but the back pain is well documented, how far out were you? did you have to jump through the same hoops as with the original surgery? what was your recovery like? I don't really care how bad the recovery process is at this point, I just need this hanging bag off my front gone! thanks again, Susan

I was having back problems and rashes, I had alot of skin, I was almost to goal before I had it done...and it doesnt take very long to get passed  and over with, not like the other surgery ...I had excess tummy and had my boobs reduced at the same time, I didnt have a bit of trouble...my boobs were hanging so bad it was pulling my back out....went from an F to a C and my back is doing great now........anything I can tell you just ask...vesta

Vesta, how much documentation did you need? when you got the breast reduction, did you still keep "boobs" I need to fold mine in half to get them in the bra, and they hang to my belly button practically, so so UGLY, but curiosly I still want to have some lol. I only have medicare no supplement so I wonder about the cost. I thought I was done(losing weight) because I trickled down to only a couple of lb.s for the entire month of feb. But just this last week i've suddenly dropped another 7 lb.s, hopefully I'll get going again, I really would like to be safely under 200 before tucks and reductions, but starting at 375, 245 doesn't seem too bad, how long did you rapidly lose weight before it stopped falling off by itself???  thanks so much for your support and patience with my questions, Susan

You are doing great with your weight loss, I know what you mean about hanging to the belly button...lol... they will take away alot of skin and bring the girls up till they look real perky...lol ...
the doctor took pictures and sent to medicare...didnt take long at all..
just up the protein and watch the carbs and you will be there before you know it, this will give you a reason to work hard on it...it is a wonderful experience.....vesta

 Dont have any answers for you but just wanted to wish you good luck in finding a surgeon.And hopefully you can get yur panni and tailbone taken care of real soon.

Hey susy.. Nope no poo poo yet. Took 4 correctol this am and 4 stool softners plus all the correctol and softners yesterday. Waiting on my eyes to turn brown LOL. Think i'll go get some M.O.M thursday.Gotta call and rechedual dr appt for tomorow,Gails boss called and he has to go to a maditory meeting tomorrow. Dont know why he always waits till the last min to tell him these things.Hopefully i can get in this week.I'll let ya know.
