Revison March 17

Hello. I had my open RNY in August 2002. I live in Missouri. I just found out last week that on March 17 I will be going in for revision. I am scared to death. I think part of it is because of my Mom being ill at this time and not really knowing that much about the doctor or have the support like I had the last time when I went thru surgery. If anyone out there can help me I would appreciate or tell me where to look. I have been searching for revision info and support groups and have come up high and dry.
   They have all ready stretched me some and it helped for a bit but now they have decided they need to just redo it again I think they said. Dr. De La Torre is the one doing the surgery if anyone can give  me any feed back on him I would be so happy. Thank You ahead of time for your prayers and helping me out.

What makes this so hard as well is:, I can not eat eggs, drink milk, cottage cheese. So when it comes to the diet it is going to be hard. Anyway Sorry to blab but if anyone could help I would appreciate it a great deal.

Good Luck on yourrevision,Dr De La torre was my surgeon,Ya wont see alot of him .But he is good at what he does,Even though i am not happy with mine at this time,What are you haveing a revision from ,If i may ask.

That is the funny thing PoohBear. I think if I understood the paper work correctly they are going to redo the gastric on me again. I don't really know. I am just confused.

My surgery is very frustrating for me. I can not eat anything without it coming back up. I am haveing a scope the 17th,a Ct scan and a UGI the 23rd.So maybe they can figure out something i have gained 14 lbs in 4 days. Not very happy at all. If i was eating junk i could understand it but i'm not.So at this point and time i am not vey pleased with he whole thing.Pleae don't let my experiance scare you away,Most pople do just great.I just happen to be the odd one out LOL.Good luck and take care.
