I'm disgusted, too.

Thanks Deb for bringing up the topic of dissappointing results.  My firts two weeks post op I lost 18 lbs-a great start.  The next FOUR weeks I only lost 13 lbs.

Nothing tasts right . Nothing tastes good.  It would be worth it if I was losing weight, but gee, I'm barely losng two poungs a week.  And I don't eat a lot, and I don't starve myself either.  I walk on the treadmill daily.  And I am not retaining fluids. Just plugging along hating the taste of everything I put in my mouth and not losing.

I am not having "buyer remourse"  because I know that even if this weight loss isn't much as least the weight probably won't come back.  I jusst wish I knew what I could do to bump up my weight loss.

Anyway , thanks for letting me whine.

Deb
I really hope things get better for you.I dont really have buyers remorse .I am just really frustrated. And it would be different if i was eating things i shouldn't but i can not i eat hardly anything without it coming backup.Fluids stay put but even they are starting to get nauseating. I hope you can find your groove as Bec says and things get better for you soon.

Deb, I feel so sorry for you, at least I am not throwing up all the time.  I hope you find out what is making your pouch such a grouch.  Good luck,

Deb C

I stalled after losing thirty and my stall lasted four weeks. As long as you are still losing thats good. Keep the protein and fluids going it will happen. Some of us just lose slow. I figure any loss is better than none. I wish I was faster but I am not  but I still have hope. Hang in there.

Hi Deb....

Valid concerns.  We all go thru these times.  Everything tastes nasty and you are working your tail off for what seems to be nothing.  Boy, we all understand.

In my opinion...our bodies go thru these stalls because it is trying to figure out what in the heck we have done.  Seriously, tho, if you step back....two pounds a week is awesome since you are considered a lightweight.  If I gather correctly, you have lost 31 pounds in 6 weeks....that is amazing!  Your body is just needing to time to adjust.  You may also be losing inches.  Do you measure?  It may help you see where your body is changing.  Another thing that I learned is to not compare my loss (or lack thereof) with anybody else.  We all lose differently.  For some people it just melts and others have to work for every ounce.  (I know that doesn't really help but I had to beat it in my own head not to compare myself)  Stress is another big factor, as is height and age.

Sometimes you have to change things up to trick your body out of a stall.  Maybe eat a little more, go back to shakes for a day or two or do different exercise.  Our bodies adapt amazingly and really want to stay in one place.  You will teach it who is boss.  Do what you know and it's ok to get on here and fuss.  We all understand.

Thanks gals, for your words of support.  I don't know what I would do without this web site and the friends I have made here.

It's just nice to here from those who have been there.

Hugs,

Deb C
