WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY
Good grief at the snow...we are suppose to meet up with a guy in Springfield to buy some chickens from him....have no idea what the roads are like right now ...they are probably ok but wont know until we start out I guess.
We got the chicken almost done thanks Andy for helping ....needed another set of hands ...we got the roof on and the back on....the chicken coop plus the wire bottom...have the roosts and nest all ready to put in....said we have the roof on well we have the plywood base of the roof we are going to put sheet metal on the roof too. should be ok...
Had a great fun 2 year old birthday party..lol we had lots of fun...pink balloons and pink and white streamers all over the place...Princesses table covering , plates and napkins. She was very happy with everything. She kept saying ( I princess too. ) lol I told her yes sweetie you are the prettiest princess of all./ she would just smile the biggest smile ,.she is something else for sure/ they are even better as they get to be Great grandbabies lol
I guess the rewards of getting older is that babies don’t have any idea that you are old lol and love you no matter what...
That is great that you help him with his homework and stuff. Would be great if all parents were that involved in their kids lives.
SUSAN:::::: hope you all have a good trip to Columbia and that you get all your things done.....be really careful , tell Andy to drive safely or you whomever is driving....Give Miss Bec a big ole hug for me
Yeah im sure counting on you to helping me plant all of the seeds I will be getting soon. Or at least I hope I will get them soon.
Someone ask if I or Andy was your surgery angel, I guess both of us in a way anyway.
At least your angel will be with you during surgery huh? Thanks for asking me ....i will do what ever you need to be done...
VESTA::::::sorry you and Virgil are sick , yes the doctor is right about the spraying your nose with saline solution every day....it really does work....you defiantly do take in most of the germs in our bodies thru our noses.
Im so glad that you feel comfortable with us...we love having company . I feel like you are my sister too. and we are in Gods eyes... how are your seedlings coming along?
BARB :::::Im so glad that you are beginning to feel better....take care of yourself. Sounds like Baby is doing fine...
Has Hubby had to stay out all day today and tonight? Tell him we all thank him for keeping the highways clean./
I know im ready for Spring aren’t you....
SUSIE:::::HEY !!! did you order this snow??? If so you left some of it down here. I will mail it to you so you can have all of it that you wanted lol
I really don’t care if it goes directly to summer ...im cold and I wont be warm until it gets hot....
RENEE::::im glad that you are trying to enjoy the kids before they leave today...i know how it is tearing your heart out to see them leave but God has something special planned for you so hang in there. God knows what he is doing ok?
Im glad that your foot and toes are doing well. They can sure look nasty after surgery cant they.? But so glad to hear that yours are healing ...
You said something about Janet being sick....what is wrong? Has she gone to the new doctor she was talking about? She said something about gaining lots of weight from meds? In those pictures of the new baby she didn’t look like she had gained weight, she looked healthy and her face wasn’t as drawn and tired looking. Maybe that was just happiness. But I thought she looked so good...
Well guess I wont get to see Peanut again huh? I assume she is moving to
I saw Sheila come online today but she wouldn’t answer me when I paged her. Do you T
TALK TO YOU ALL LATER
God bless
Jan
Well my stall broke finally....got up this morning and lost another 3lbs....that now takes me to 152....yeeppee...lol

Well just wanted to get on a say hello and hope everyone is doing good...
Love and Hugs...
Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!
Don't faint but I'm actually going to post today! Actually, it's technically still Saturday night (at least for another couple minutes!) lol!
For some reason I just am not sleepy tonight. Will probably pay for it tomorrow. Guess we're not going to go to SS or church in the morning. It's suppose to be 3 degrees tonight and only a high of 22 tomorrow. We got like 4 inches of snow. This cold weather really makes my entire body ache. I HATE it! Will be so grateful for the warm weather that is suppose to be here by the end of the week!
We are almost done painting. Finished the downstairs today. Still have to take down the border from the main upstairs bathroom and repaint it. Also want to paint my little laundry room. I told my dh that it was more than time for him to haul the washer and dryer out of that room and clean the floor and the appliances! He does such a great job of that. My old arms just can't scrub as long or hard as his! Then we will start painting our bedroom and bathroom. Will probably wait until Luke and his girlfriend leave for Texas the week of spring break.
Luke's girlfriend, Becca, is coming a week from today! She's going to stay the entire week with us before Luke's Spring Break. She's attending community college in TX and her Spring Break is a week earlier than his. David and I are both looking forward to spending some time with her. We've known her since she was in the 7th grade. She is such a sweetheart. She's going to teach me to make those fleece quilts that you tie the edges. She made all of us one for Christmas and I LOVE them! She says they're easy to make. I think we're all going to go see a play or something while she's here. Maybe bowling if I can find a 1/2 price coupon somewhere. Anyways, she'll be here until the 14th then she and her sister and her sister's best friend and Luke will be driving back to Texas. Luke will then be staying at Becca's parents house. Luke has already bought his plane ticket for the ride home. This is Luke's first girlfriend and I honestly think he may marry her. I know I've said this before, but I've got to say it again. I've been praying for my boys' future wife(s) since they were born. I honestly believe if my boys will WAIT ON THE LORD that HE will provide the BEST for them! I think Becca may be the one. I truly hope they wait till after college to get married. I guess time will tell.
Jake is doing good. He's almost 6'1". He's going to be taller than Luke. Luke is almost 6'2". Jake is a tall skinny pole. He eats ALL the time and still doesn't gain weight! I've told him that it will catch up with him when he's around 40. It did his Dad!
Speaking of my DH. He still does not have a job. I'd venture to guess that he applies for at least 10 jobs a week via the Internet and some in person. He's only at one interview and that was back in November. I don't know if anyone has noticed but the increase in unemployment has brought down the wages. He may end up having to work to jobs. One way or another though, I know the Lord is still in control!
We had to take our oldest "girl" Precious into the vet last Monday. She just hadn't been acting right. Precious is an 8 year old toy poodle and she weighs about 6 lbs. She is a wonderful, once in a lifetime pet! Anyways, the vet said she had a heart murmur. We had to leave her there until later that day so they could do a chest x-ray. Well, her heart is slightly enlarged. However, her lungs are clear and there is no fluid around her heart. Her spine looks great too. The doctor ran some blood work and it all came back looking great. So the doctor put her on once a day heart pills. They cost around 50 cents a piece. Well, worth it. She has been running around here acting like a pup again! The doctor thinks that the valves around her heart aren't opening up like they should. She says it's just the start of old age. She also said that she's starting to get cataracts on her eyes. Please pray for my Precious little girl. My dh bought her for me a couple weeks after my Aunt Lou passed away at age 48 of a massive heart attack back in July of 2000. Precious truly help mend my heart and she helped my dh when he lost his Mom back in 2004. Like I said, I truly believe, she is a once in a lifetime pet. She doesn't know she's a dog. She thinks she's just a little person! Don't get me wrong. We love Roxie too. Roxie is 1 years old and is a toy poodle too. Roxie is silver and Precious is black. Roxie however is a DOG and acts like a DOG! lol!
Mama Jan - I truly miss you my friend! I wanna come with Bec and Peggy when they come to visit you when your garden is blooming! Think they'll let me!? So you going to be raising chickens too? What kind of chickens? I remember a few years ago a man from our church (the one we left a couple years ago) decided he wanted to raise some chickens. He had some fancy ones, can't remember the names of them now. But when some of them hatched he bundled them up and brought them here to we could see them. I must say baby chicks are so cute! I also remember being out at his house in the country and that same little chick had grown up and came pecking on my hubby's toes thru his sandals!! Oh, those were some good times. Your Great Granddaughter's birthday party sounds like such fun! I hope the good Lord gives me at least ONE granddaughter to spoil! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my boys and my grandson. I just really want one little girl to spoil and do girlie things with!
Susan - Congrats on your surgery date! Please tell Andy to keep us all informed on your progress. Will be praying for you. I didn't have to do the liquid diet but I know others have done it and I'm sure you'll do fine with it too!
Andy - Thank you for doing the Daily Devotionals. I hadn't been doing them until about 2 weeks ago. I was suffering thru some serious depression and Bec (Beautiful Bec) suggested I start. So I went in and printed all the ones I had missed. Now I do the daily one and I try to do at least 5 others at a time. I think I will be all caught up by the end of this week! I cannot tell you how much it has ministered to me! God's Word is truly health to my bones and my soul! I've got to keep my eyes on HIM and not on this world! Thanks for being that ray of sunshine that has brighten my days.
Janet - We have missed your posts! I know, I know, you're really busy with that BEAUTIFUL grand-baby of yours, but you gotta keep us informed on how you're all doing! I have to say, she is one of the prettiest newborns I have ever seen. And yes, I think she looks like you!
Beautiful Bec - Thanks for calling me Friday. Sorry I had to go pick up Jake. I will try to call you sometime this week so we can finish our conversation! You and your sweet spirit have ministered so much to me and I am so thankful that the Lord brought you into my life! What a blessing you are!
Susie - So you got more snow than we did. I tell you I love to look at it but I HATE to go out in it! We got around 4 inches and I think we're suppose to get some more tonight. Brrrr...I am so ready for Spring!
Renee' - bless your heart. Sorry it snowed on your BBQ plans! How did it go? I'm sure everyone was just glad to be together and they enjoyed the food cooked indoors just as much as if you'd been able to BBQ.
Vesta - you and Virgil are sick? I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, that nasal stuff really does work. The ENT told my DH to use the nasal rinse stuff every day and it really has helped him from getting bronchitis so much and his asthma cough has been much better. He uses the nasal rinse in the morning and Flonase in the afternoon per the ENT's instructions.
Barb - Glad to hear that you and Baby are doing good. So your husband works for DOT? How long has he been doing that? Will pray he stays safe!
Cor - Congrats on your son's Wrestling! I'm so glad he and his team did so good at state! I know you are one proud Mama! Glad to hear you made it to your Mom's in Texas safe and shall we say relatively sound!? Sorry, just couldn't resist that one! lol! Hope you and your Mom have a great time together. Enjoy that Texas weather and bring some back for us!
Hope everyone has a Blessed Sunday! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!
Debbie D.
I think it's starting to set in now that Susan is actually going to have surgery. It's something we've prayed for since I had surgery over 2 years ago. I just know she will be more successful then me, not that I havnt been successful because I've lost over 200lbs but have so far to go yet and its a real struggle, its a struggle Im winning, slowly but winning. With Susan we know the rights and wrongs and what to do and what not to do so hopefully with the Lords help it will be a breeze for her. She's already taking the vitamins, doing the protein shakes and stuff so its pretty much a habbit and will be easier for her to get it all done. Fortunetly I never had trouble for the most part, I've always taken my vitamins and gotten in my protein with shakes and all, being 2 years out its just habit now and I do what it takes.
Wow the sun is finally coming out, its so nice to see that sun again, its freezing cold tho so hopefully it will warm up a bit but thank goodness it stopped snowing. I guess we are have everything ready to go. We start the liquid diet on tuesday and we'll be in Columbia most the day so we're taking stuff to make protein shakes, crystal lite to drink and even some powdered broth to make up, im sure we'll be able to find some ho****er at the hospital to drink a lil broth while there, we'll be at the hospital most the day with her pre-testing, excersie class and visit with the anathesiologist (sp). So be sure to keep us in your prayers as we'll be traveling. We are really excited about getting to stay with Paul and Bec on Monday night, we had such an awesome time visiting them the last time I know this time wont be any different. Bec thank you, thank you so so much for allowing us to stay in your home, its such a tremendous blessing to us.
Well I better get this posted so we can finish getting packed, we are gonna go to church then leave shortly after church and head up that way. Gonna stay with our Pastor in Lebonon tonight then get up in the morning and drive the rest of the way to Columbia. Y'all have a blessed Sunday.
Andy
It is supposed to warm up and I am counting on it.
Jan, Hubby worked 10 hours yesterday. He said he went trough 50 gallons of diesel fuel plowing. That's about 250-300 miles clearing and salting the roads.
Debbie, Hubby has worked for MoDot about 5 years now. When he retires in about 2 years it will be his second time to retire and he says his last...LOL
Hope everyone stays warm.

The only thing I have to watch on dates is the tentative date we have for his mother's sale. I should probably plan my visit for after her sale....hopefully that won't keep the others from making plans. I may have to come later so you may have two separate parties. Hopefully we can get something planned.
SUGAR!!!!! Big hug....how I've missed you. So glad to see you here and things are going well.
I know that Andy and Susan will be getting spoiled tomorrow. I sure know that Bec is blessed with her abilities and she loves sharing her beautiful home. I hope they have safe travel.
I need to get some work done around here....just wanted to pop on and see how everybody is doing. Deb (Pooh)....love you girl...and you are not whining. You have valid issues and we are all hurting for you.
