I think the whole book of Leviticus is going to be rules and regulations on this and that.  So far its been a huge amount of laws to remember, I wonder how they remembered them all back then, that would have been a job and a half.  When I think about it though it’s pretty much the same for us today, we have a ton of laws and stuff to live by today.  Well I just did a little research on Leviticus and it’s actually known as “The book of Gods Laws".  No wonder that’s all it’s been so far.

In Mark right at the beginning of the reading in verse 11 the Pharisees asked Jesus for a miraculous sign.  Where in the world have they been? Did they not see any of the miracles that took place?  My goodness, they act like Jesus hasn’t done anything.  I think in verse 13 Jesus was getting a bit aggravated at the disciples and its true, they were arguing over bread but why? Didn’t they remember the miracles Jesus preformed feeding the huge masses of people, TWICE?  That kind of reminds me of myself though, sometimes I just don’t get something and it takes a bit of pounding into my head to realize it.   Reading the last part of Marks reading Jesus goes and tells what has to happen to the Son of Man.  Can you imagine knowing what is going to happen to you and yet being calm and ready to get through it?  I think I’d be a mess but Thank the Lord He gave is only son for us, what an awesome sacrifice.

Proverbs was only one verse today but a powerful and true verse.  Discipline, will we ever get to where we are totally disciplined? I know I am striving every day to be more disciplined.  Is it hard?  Oh my goodness YES! Discipline has been such a weakness for me and I have always in the past given in, instead of going the disciplined route, but with Gods help I am getting better.  I’ve finally gotten the determination to exercise and walk, im not fully disciplined yet but I am getting better every day.  I have to tell though, God works in strange ways sometimes.  All of you know that Jan has a dog “Rebel" that always walked with us when Jan was walking with me but would hardly ever walk with me if I was by myself.  Ever since Jan and Joe went on their trip Rebel finally after a couple weeks started going with me, which was about the time I prayed hard that God would help me be more disciplined in my walking.  You all will think I’m crazy lol but I tell ya, God has used Rebel to help me be more disciplined.  When I don’t feel like walking Rebel comes over and sits on my front porch until I get out there, he looks at me like, um get your lazy self out here and walk lol.  When I know God has said to increase your walking its like Rebel knows exactly where to go and I just follow him and if I seem to be not going where God wants me to go Rebel wont give up until I am going the right path,  I really believe God uses animals to help us, after all they ARE His creation too.  Just thought I’d share that.

Wow, the devotional really hit me once again.  How many times have we all felt like that? Like you’ve missed an opportunity God set before you and you cant get it back or redo it?  I know I sure have, wow; I needed that encouragement of the devotional today.  Thank you Lord, thank you!  You all have a great day.

Daily Devotional

Revelation 21:5, AMP
"…and He who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new…"

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He puts a promise on the inside, He deposits within you everything you need to accomplish that dream. He wouldn't give you the desire to do something without giving you the ability to fulfill it. In fact, the scripture tells us that God gives us the desires of our heart. In other words, He puts the desire inside of us and then works with us to bring it to pass.

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their dreams, but they face a setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed. But let me tell you today, no matter where you've come from, no matter what's happened in your past, God wants to make you new. He wants to give you a "do over," a fresh start. If you feel like you've missed opportunities in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember, today is a new day. You are a new person, and God has new opportunities in store for you. If one dream has died, it's time to dream a new dream.

Today's thought: I give You this day and invite You to have Your way in every area of my life, God. I choose to receive all the promises You have in store for me.
