Daily Bible Reading - Tuesday Feb. 24th
Jesus sure let the Pharisees and Teachers have it. Telling them how hypocritical they are with their double standards and old traditions. That makes me sit here and think, how many of us and I say us including me, get set in our ways and do things out of habit or tradition instead of for God. I know in my past diets I got set in my ways with bad eating habits, you all know how hard that is to break, I think bad eating habits are the worse and when you get set on eating the wrong things its so hard to change your head thinking about eating but as Jesus was saying, its not the food we eat that is deviled its what comes out of our heart. When we get our hearts right our minds should come right into line. For what comes out of our hearts is what defiles us. I know I so want to keep my heart right with God, I don’t want to be like the Pharisees and Teachers, saying one thing and acting on another, we will be so blessed when we keep our hearts right with God.
The devotional just about goes right along with the reading today. His Love is truly amazing and is given to us unconditionally, that makes it even more amazing. We simply have to come to Him with an open heart and he will be there to help us through any and all situations, what an awesome God.
Today’s Reading
Leviticus 15:1-16:28
Mark 7:1-23
Psalm 40:11-17
Proverbs 10:13-14
Daily Devotional
Romans 8:39, AMP
"Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"
Isn't it wonderful to know that nothing can separate us from the Love of God? His love is truly amazing. It goes beyond any human love we could ever know. There's nothing we can do to make Him love us more, and there is nothing we can do to make Him love us any less. His love is everlasting.
Oftentimes, when people make mistakes or feel that they have disappointed God, they think they have to stay away from Him until they "get their act together" so to speak. But nothing could be further from the truth! He's always there with open arms, ready to receive you and make you new. Remember, God's not mad at you; He's madly in love with you! You are on His mind day and night. His thoughts are precious towards you.
If there is anything in your life that is keeping you from receiving His amazing love, choose to set those things aside today. Let His love restore you and make you new. Simply come to Him with an open heart and receive everything He has in store for you
Today's thought: Thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank You for receiving me and making me new by the precious blood of Jesus. I love You.
And the devotional! That was for me! I have been working with Shelia to get past this perfectionism and just let God love me in His perfect way. I sure struggle with not being "good" enough and am beginning to break thru the lies I have believed for so long. Because of His love for me I want to be holy...not the other way around. Good stuff!!

Life isn't about about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
