Daily Bible Reading - Monday Feb. 23rd
You know it must have been just awesome to be in the time of Jesus and be there when He fed the 5000, oh to be able to watch such a miracle happen right before your eyes. And the thing about it was when they were finally done feeding everything, it says everyone took plenty and there were still 12 baskets of bread and fish left over, that’s more then they started with in the beginning!! To be there when Jesus walked on water would have been awesome too, it scared the disciples, and they thought He was a ghost. Can you just see the water raging and waves so high you think the boat is going to tip over and all of sudden there Jesus appears, climbs into the boat and calms the waters, my goodness what a miracle and I’m sure the disciples were relieved the storm was calmed. Can you just imagine the crowds that were following Him at that time? It seemed every where He went he was recognized and people flocked to Him bringing all the sick to be healed, not just a few but thousands and thousands, all those miracle healings that took place, my goodness what an interesting time to be in, and even today miracle after miracle takes place all the time around us if we sit still a minute and think about it.
Verse 4 and 5 of Psalms today I really loved. O the Joys of those who trust in the Lord and His plans for us are so numerous. The really are, God has such great plans for us all, it’s just up to us if they get carried out or not, and you know Gods plan in our lives is the ultimate plan for us, whether we think so or not it truly is the only plan we should be following.
Well I’m going to get this posted; you all have a wonderful Monday. Hope to see some of you at the support group tonight.

"The path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer****il [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day…"
We all face challenges. We all have obstacles to overcome. But if we can keep the right perspective, it will help us to stay in faith so that we can move forward into victory. You may feel right now like the challenges that you face are too big, or too overwhelming. One thing I've learned is that average people have average problems. Ordinary people have ordinary challenges. But remember, you're not average. You're not ordinary. You are extraordinary. God breathed His life into you. You are exceptional, and exceptional people face exceptional difficulties. But the good news is we serve an exceptional God! When you have an incredible problem, instead of being discouraged, you should be encouraged knowing that you're an incredible person and you have an incredible future. Your path is shining brighter and brighter.
Be encouraged today because your life is on an extraordinary path. Keep standing in faith, keep declaring victory over your future, keep declaring the promises of God over your life. Keep declaring that you are moving forward into the bright, exceptional future that the Lord has in store for you!
Today's thought: I choose to stand in faith today knowing that the Lord has a wonderful plan in store for me!
Oh boy... did you read in the OT where they even had to shave their eyebrows?!! I am amused I guess at what I have been reading... I just wonder why they had to do all that they did... and yesterday when it was talking about all the sores!!! ugh!!
I'm like you, just cannot cannot cannot imagine being a disciple and seeing all that they did .... and can you imagine what all went on in the lives of each of those disciple that was never written about ... the things "they" did after the Crucifixion and the Lord was gone in the natural... we know they went out and some of the things they did but it would be interesting to know the rest of each of their lives... maybe there is more out there on that and I have just never read it? Anyway those miracles would of been su*****redible things to have seen first hand!
I liked the verse in Proverbs where it says, "the mouth of the righteous is the fountain of life" I have a friend that comes to mind that proves this point... she always has a encouraging word for me when I need it and it is true that when I have conversed with her I can usually always see "life" in a better light... I want to be a person like that!
Have you noticed lately we have seen quite a few things said about our mouth... words...etc.? I have always known that is so important... and need to be continually giving it thought as to what I say.
Now... once again I have gained such blessing out of the devotion! I LOVE this LIVING WORD!!! It meets my needs so many times right where I'm at! I am going to cut and paste this portion and send it to a couple of people that I know it will minister to at this time... oh how the Lord loves us and gives us just what we need at the time we need it! Over and Over again! I'm thankful!
