Today in Mark is what stuck out to me was the beheading of John.  Can you imagine being given the opportunity to have up to half of Herod’s kingdom and yet you ask for someone to be killed?  She could have anything she asked for but when she asked her mom what she should ask for her moms says “Johns head", and Herod beings he had made an oath to the girl he had to do as she asked.  I dunno why that sticks out at me this morning but it sure does.  Its kind of disturbing I suppose but we know it was all in the big plan.

I just realized that I posted yesterdays devotional wrong.  I only posted the scripture and not the actually devotional.  I am going to post it again in its entirety because it really spoke and encouraged me big time.  God truly wants us to reign in life over every situation there is.  He wants us to be overcomers not defeated.  This is OUR time in power.  I am a winner not a loser; I’m the head and not the tail.  Reigning in life through Jesus is where God wants us to be.  He sent His son to die on the cross just so that we could have life and reign in life abundantly.

***Bec & Peggy*** Doing this post has helped me grow so much.  Its helped me to establish consistency and faithfulness in my life, which I really needed.  I only pray that people are as blessed as I am by reading this post.  I don’t know about y’all but I really hear the voice of God when I read the scriptures,  maybe not an actual audible voice but you know when you hear the voice of God you just know it.  This  year has already been a year of change for us all,  I cant wait to see what else God has in store for us.  Thank you both for being awesome blessings!

Y’all have a wonderful Sunday, be blessed.

Daily Devotional

Romans 5:17
"For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those *****ceive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)"

It says here in Romans 5:17, "We are to reign in life as kings." When God looks at us, He doesn't see us in weak, defeated, leftover positions. Not at all. God sees you and me as rulers, as royalty. We have His royal blood flowing through our veins. You and I are supposed to reign. Do you know what that word "reign" means? It means "your time in power." God said we're to reign "in life." That means as long as you're alive that is your time in power. You don't have a two-year term like the Mayor or a four-year term like the President. Your term is to rule and reign every single day, to be victorious, to rise to new levels, to accomplish great things.

Everyone has days when they don't feel like royalty, they don't feel powerful. On those days, if you can just remember to reach down and check your pulse, and as long as you feel something beating, you can say, "It's still my time to reign!" Let that be a reminder to put on a new attitude. And sometimes you have to do this by faith. By faith you need to walk like a king, talk like a king, think like a king, dress like a king, smile like a king. Don't go by what you see. Go by what you know. There is royalty in your DNA. You have the blood of a champion, and you were created to reign in life!

Today's thought: I choose right now to set my mind and focus on the Lord. I choose to look for what the Lord wants to do in and through me. I let go of any wrong thinking, attitudes, or actions that would hold me back. In Jesus' Name.
