Well welcome to the board. This is the place to ask questions, but you will need to be a little more specific I think. I had surgery (rny) 10 mo's ago, I have lost 125 some odd lb.s so far, no regrets, but it is not just a quick fix easy, you will have to change your eating habits and do exercize, however, the surgery makes it a whole lot easier to do all of the above, what type are you looking into?  good luck, Susan

there are a few on here that have had the lap bs and but most have had RNY  not a lot different in amount of time of surgery....just dont have to have as much will power as you do with the lap band, with Lap band you can more or less eat all of the things that made u fat in the first p lace with no problems but with RNY a lot of  things like sweets and fatty fried foods or really rich foods will make you sick so you learn to not eat them....I myself have no self contol that is why i got fat in the first place lol so i opted for the RNY ....never been sorry a day....have went from 22/24s to size 10s and so far havent gained any at all back....it is a constant daily thing that i will live with for the rest of my life of the right amount of protein, vits and water but i am more than willing to do all of that to be able to do so many things now that i couldnt do before.
hope to see you on here more and more ok>?
Jan
