Daily Bible Reading - Saturday Feb. 21st
I think Leviticus is all about rules and sacrifices and blood offerings and so forth, I don’t know if it will ever end lol. Its kind of interesting to read all about what they had to do to be clean, there seems to be a sacrifice and purification for everything.
Now reading in Mark I just love the story of the woman who had been sick for 12 years. She wanted to be healed in the worst way and healed she was, all because of her faith, her faith definitely got her healed. The power of God was so strong that Jesus felt the power go out of him, now that’s some strong faith on her part. The next story I love as well, where the little girl died but Jesus told her parents just to have faith that she is sleeping. Can you imagine how hard it was for the parents to have faith enough to believe their daughter was going to be ok even after word got to them that she died? I can just imagine the parents had to of had strong faith in order to keep calm and believe their daughter was going to be alright. What a privilege it must have been to travel with Jesus like that.
The devotional once again spoke volumes to me. How the Lord wants us to reign in life, He wants to reign by faith whether we feel like it or not. In times we don’t feel like it we are to by faith talk like a king, walk like a king, dress like a king etc. Here we go having faith again, I think God is now trying to instill faith into us. The thought of the day again needs to be apart of our daily lives, at least for me. Amen!!

Romans 5:17
"For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those *****ceive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)"

Today's thought: I choose right now to set my mind and focus on the Lord. I choose to look for what the Lord wants to do in and through me. I let go of any wrong thinking, attitudes, or actions that would hold me back. In Jesus' Name.
But you know I have just as great a responsibility in other ways and sometimes I need to be reminded just what those "sacrifices" are. And so many times I have to call on that "unmerited favor" my Lord so freely gives, when I fail to do what I should.
Faith as you spoke about in the new testament readings today.... seems so often I lack proper faith... or at least do not "exercise" it as I should. I get sidetracked so easily some times with my thoughts... I guess that's why the devotionals each day have meant so much... they are constantly urging us to see and act upon our faith!
The Proverbs today was a good admonishment to us as well and so very true!
The wise in heart accept commands, but the chattering fool comes to ruin. The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.
Everyday I am in this Word I am encouraged to be a better person than I was yesterday... I pray this is sinking in my thick head and at the end of this year of reading his Word yet again I will be a stronger and better person than I was before.
Andy I just have to say it again... how much I appreciate that you are doing this... you know my friend you may not ever know till you get to Heaven just what this post has and will accomplish! The same for Mimi and Peggy that are both so faithful to their particular posts as well. Lord bless each one of you!

The thing that really struck me in Mark was that when Jesus went to the girl He took Peter, James & John with Him. They saw Him raise this girl! Can you imagine? And there are times later when they still don't realize who He is! Makes me realize how many times He has shown Himself to me and how dull I am! I also had this realization yesterday in my time with Shelia. And it is still sinking in....
Love you all and thanks again for helping me to "hear"!

Life isn't about about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
