dreamfields

I've recently tried dreamfields pasta and I'm really happy with it.  The nutrition profile is pretty much the same as regular pasta but most of it's carbs are "protected" (whatever that means) and doesn't affect my blood sugar.  I want to continue to have pasta once in a while at least and this really seems the route to go.

Problem is, so far I'm having to mail order it and that's just not very cost effective.  Does anyone in the Springfield area know of a local store carrying Dreamfields?

Hi,

I don't live in Springfield, however, the only store that I've found it at in the KC area is HyVee.  Does Springfield have a HyVee?  Might try it.  I just bought a couple packages of the dreamfields pasta.  Haven't tried it yet.

Have a good day.

Thank you, I don't think there are any HyVees down here but I will keep looking.  I hope that it works well for you, too.

I found it in Columbia at the Schnucks.  They didn't have a lot of choices but did have it.  You can get the same effect from any Whole Wheat pasta,..............when you use anything in Whole wheat that isn't a simple carb that is a complex carb which breaks down differently then the simple carb.  That's why you aren't dumping on it,.....you might want to try a WW pasta and see if it does the same for you.  I am not sure if you will dum*****t with WW pasta's, I just know that it shouldn't.   I don't have a problem with rice or pasta, it will give me some gas sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.  Brown rice is also in that complex carb area, so if white rice makes you dump you can try the brown.  There again brown rice breaks down differently.  I know most of the RNYers don't do either but pasta or rice, but these should be ok to eat. As a matter of fact they should be really healthy for you.  I know there will be some that won't be able to eat this either for other reasons.  I hope I helped you out here.
