Please make sure you drill some drain holes in them.   I learned the hard way - praying that my chives and oregano lived thru it.   Dad used a small ax and made some holes in a couple of mine.  I also used peices of concrete blocks, bricks and broken clay flower pots to help fill them up and provide drainage.  Lets just say that where they are they are staying as they are now to heavy to move except for the one I didn't put a drain in and used some plastic pots in and the 1st big rain we had everything floated to the top and it was a mess.  Other than that they worked great and I had herbs all summer and fall.  Hoping my perinnials survived the winter and my attempts to keep them...

Can't wait to meet you Bec!

Sandy...

Thanks for the advise I too learned the hard way! I always have Paul drill a hole in the bottom and then I too put large rocks out of the creek in the bottom... I'm lucky I have this really neat cart that I can push around here to move my planters around, it was an old meat cart used in a grocery store... I painted it last year and have been using that... it's great.

I am so very excited to meet you as well... I will call you soon and give you directions.

Bec
