Reading in Mark today I was looking at some of the others around Him questioning Him trying to find fault so they would have an excuse to jail Him and all.  Jesus always seemed to answer them with a question, He always seemed to know when He was being watched and seemed to make sure they say what He was doing like at the beginning of Mark 3 when they were sitting there watching Jesus just to see if He was going to heal on the Sabbath and He knew it too, it seemed to make Him angry and distressed but it sure didn’t stop Him from healing the man with a shriveled hand.  That’s when the Pharisees started to plot against Jesus.  It’s amazing how everything just falls into place for when its time for Jesus to be crucified, God had a plan and it was executed to a T, every t was crossed and every I was dotted.

The devotional hit the nail this morning.  No matter what we are going through, no matter what the cir****tances look like, no matter how bad it looks God wants to make a way where there seems to be no way.  Especially in the hard times of today where it seems like our economy is going down hill, where it seems like we are going through a famine, God always has a way out, where it looks like we are at the end of our ropes, don’t know where we’ll get the money to pay a bill or meet a need God is there and wants to meet that need in the middle of hard times.  I love it how He really wants us to be blessed so that we can be a blessing to others, all we have to do is take that step of faith, once we take the first step God will see us through the rest of the way, He always has and always will.

***Bec***Yesterday you asked what the “Fellowship Offering" was verses the other offerings.  A fellowship offering in the king james is called a peace offering, this offering is one which is not brought in obligation to the Lord, or as atonement for sin, or any other required thing.  It is the offering of one who simply needs to express the peace God has planted in his life.  When God is doubly good to you, then a peace offering is the fitting gesture of the thankful heart, living in God’s own peace.  That offering had to be leavened instead of the usual unleavened.  Hope that explains a little bit about what it is.

***Peggy*** Im like you, I always look forward to what Bec has to say because for me too it’s usually something I need to hear.  Also thank YOU for your faithfulness to God and His word, it really is life changing isn’t it?

Daily Devotional

Psalm 37:19
"They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied"

Are you expecting to have a supernatural year? Are you expecting increase and abundance? Notice this verse tells us that the righteous, those who follow God's commands, will be satisfied even in times of famine. Even when it looks like resources are slim, God has a plan to provide for His people. The scripture also tells us that God is looking for people who will be faithful to Him; people who will trust Him, people who will believe that He is the God of more than enough!

God always shows Himself strong on behalf of the people who seek Him first-even during the most difficult times. No matter what you may be facing today, God wants to show Himself strong for you. He wants to make a way where there seems to be no way. He wants to satisfy you and bless you abundantly so that you can reach out and be a blessing to the people around you. Take a step of faith today and begin to declare His promises over your life. Declare that He is the One who satisfies you all the days of your life.

Today's thought: Search my heart today and remove any doubt or uncertainty that would try to hold me back from the wonderful blessings You have in store for me.

Thank You Andy for doing my "homework"!  Your a good man! ~tee hee!

Of coarse!!!! about the fellowship offering I should of looked at my KJV and then at it's study notes before I asked that question... it was great what you had to say!  I think maybe we need to bring more offerings to Him for the wonderful "extra" things we have in our lives.

You know what stuck out to me in the Old Testament... how many times it said even if you did not know you sinned you were still accountable... how many times have I fallen into that category?  Sinned and was just not at the place "spiritually" that I even seen it or was in the flesh and it never even crossed my mind? For what ever reason...made me want to repent just in case ~ha

I dearly LOVE the encouraging words of Psalms I just can't seem to say it enough... Today this is the part that blesses me!

Your love oh Lord reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, (if you've ever taken a REAL mountain hike or been on a REAL mountain top {I'm not taking about Ozark Mountains either ~tee hee that was free for those of you down in that area} this will make this just make you want to shout!) your justice like the great deep.

Oh Lord, you preserve both man and beast.

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men "us" find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

They "we" feast on the abundance of your house; you give them "us" drink from the river of your delights. (my fav part)

For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.

In proverbs lately we seemed to have changed from the "d"iscipline word to the "w" word wisdom. I've done this before but I'm going to do it again and that is a word study on wisdom.... I know it will drive the point home to me again.  Obtaining wisdom will sure bring a much more peaceful life! Unfortunately it seems for me at least it has taken that unpeaceful to gain wisdom! ~tee hee

Andy you are right about this mornings devotion even the past few have especially ministered to me as we are facing some things that this especially addresses now it is time for the "work of faith"!

Let's see .... the work of discipline, the work of wisdom, the work of faith... hmmm am I seeing a common thread here?  Does this discourage me?  NO WAY! Because He ALWAYS give us the means to get where He wants us to be! and then He provides even the "more than enough"... "rivers of delight for us to drink from!!!"

Oh boy I've thought with my fingers again to day I hope this made sense it did in my mind anyway... ~ha... that's kind of scary! ~tee hee

Love and blessings to all today!
