Ok Jan and all of your green thumbers..lol
I would like to get my stuff started as we....
Do I just start them in the house of would the garage with floresence lights on them....by garage is heated.
Really would like to get a jump on the season...if ya know what I mean.
Plus we want to do this for the residents at the home as well.
So Jan, what do you think? What do I need for getting them started in? and other sugesstions are welcome

I just got my seeds started and I put a grow light on mine, we will see what Jan says, I started mine in the small little pots that are all together, seems like I have to water them often, is this right Jan?....vesta

the easist way to do them is in the plastic trays that have the clear plastic dome lids on them....that way you dont have to remember to water them since they cause condensation whice isenough water for them....starting seeds is a little like taking care of a newborn....lol
they require about 16 hours of light and floresence  is fine but any light for them needs to be about 2 feet away...and they need to be kept about 70 degrees....all of this is for the best luck and what i have found to work the best ....the garage will be fine if it is heated well.
yes now is the time to plant the seeds... that way they will be ready to plant as soon as all frost is dont...
hope all of this helped....and yes
vesta if you planted in those little pots it will work it is just a lot more work that way...i always for get to water them almost daily. and is hard to water them , too much , too little i have a hard time getting it right ....
hope all of this helped some....
