Wooohooo!!!

My oldest daughter and her boyfriend of several yrs went to Kansas City tonight to take the carriage ride and eat at the Jack Stacks BBQ.  Well they had made a reservation for the ride and took the Cinderella carriage.  Well he proposed to her while in the carriage.  With a big ole' ring.  She has been waiting for a long time for this she called me laughing and crying at the same time.  Just wanted to share with you all, I am so happy for her.

How romantic is that!?  I can only imagine how thrilled your daughter is!  Riding the Cinderella carriage on the Plaza and being proposed to on VALENTINE'S DAY!  That will be a memory they can pass along to their children and grandchildren.  A few friends and I were at the Plaza about a month ago and we saw the Cinderella carriage, it is beautiful!!  Please tell your daughter we all said "Congratulations"!

Thanks Deb, I am just as excited for her.  Really, I never thought of it be that romantic till you said it, that just seemed to bring it all into scope as the most awesome thing to have happen to your daughter.   Thanks.

PS I don't think she will sleep for a week, she drove over here from Marshall after they got home from KC, just to show us her family the ring, and he had also given her a real rose that is dipped in lacker and then trimmed in 24K gold, that was awesome too.

Hers is the burgundy one.  I gotta tell you in real life they are much prettier.  He got it at the jewelers.

Oh what a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day surprise.  Those carriages are so beautiful. May he stay that romantic for the rest of their lives!!  Glad you have some happy times coming in for you.  You deserve it!
