Can you imagine being at the tomb when the Angel of the Lord rolled away the stone?  The bible says that the guards shook and then were like dead men, meaning they passed out.  What a site that must have been, seeing Jesus as bright as lightning and His clothes as white as snow, that will give you Holy Ghost bumps just picturing that in my mind.  And then the Angel talking to both Mary’s and telling them to go have a look for themselves, I think I would have been amazed at the whole thing more then amazed I’m sure.  What an awesome God to send His only Son to lay down His life just for us just so we can have life and have it with such abundance, that’s just so awesome.

Today’s Reading

Exodus 37:1-38:31
Matthew 28:1-20
Psalm 34:11-22
Proverbs 9:9-10

Daily Devotional

Isaiah 54:2
"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back…".

God has many blessings in store for you! He has favor in your future like you've never imagined. He wants to take you places you've never even dreamed of. But in order for us to partake of all these blessings, we have to increase our capacity to receive.

Think about this: if you have a one-gallon bucket, and someone has fifty gallons to give you, the problem is not with the supply. The problem is that you don’t have the capacity to receive the fifty gallons. But, if you get rid of that small container and get something larger, then you will be able to receive more. It’s the same way with God. If we think we’ve reached our limits, the problem isn’t that God doesn’t have the resources or the ability.

The problem is that our container is too small. We have to enlarge our vision and make room for the new things God has for us. Our attitude should be, “Yes, the economy is down, but I know God is still on the throne. I know wherever I go His goodness and mercy follow me." When you have that kind of attitude, you’re increasing your capacity to receive so that you can live the abundant life He has in store for you.

Today's thought: I choose to let go of limited thinking and old mindsets, and open myself to everything the Lord has in store for me.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

My goodness! There is just so much good, hope, assurance, in what we read today.

Yesterday as I read of the crucifixion I thought of that movie that came out not to long ago it was pretty controversial and then the very graphic descriptions I have read about what the crucifixion was like...it just saddens me so that all that was done to our precious Lord but as I finished yesterday I thought OH BOY but TOMORROW'S reading there is going to be VICTORY over the grave! and such good and wonderful things are in store and today RESURRECTION!!! Oh glory!

So much good in the Psalms too again.

The righteous cry out and the Lord delivers them from there troubles!

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit!

A righteous man can have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all...!!!!

and it just goes on and on with words of hope for the suffering!

Then I gained some good thoughts from the devotion as well.... larger need larger vessel... sometimes it's just that simple... do I put limits on God with my "small" thinking.  This was timely in a situation we are facing right now and I was thankful for the encouragement!

Oh I'm ever amazed and thankful that the Lord continues to give me just what I need at the time I need it!

What ever would we have done if He had not paid that ultimate sacrifice for us!

Have a good day!
