Taxes for everyone! YAY!  haha just kidding, I've been crazy tax lady for a few weeks now and I'm tired.  My wonderful husband gave me his cold, so now I'm dealing with that also.  We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary on the 10th.  Time flies when you're having fun.  I've lost 80 lbs and I'm in a size 16 that's down from a 28, can't even believe how good I feel. Ok I need help I know its been talked about before but.... My hair is falling out and I'm freaking out about it.  Since day one from the surgery I've been taking biotin, zinc and bcomplex, all suppose to be good for your hair, but mine is falling out like crazy.  I'm getting in all my protein so I can't figure this out.  I'm lucky I have alot of hair, its not noticeable to just look, but its embracing picking up hair all the time at work and in the car.  Lord please make it stop. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE let me know.  I hope all is well with everyone! Is there going to be a meeting this month?  Looking forward to seeing everyone. Lou =)

Lou about the time the time that most people notice the hair problem it is beginning to start to come back ...it i would imagine is from the time right after surgery that you werent getting in your right amount of protein.....Hair is noting but protein...and is dead when it comes out of your scalp.

I know it's not too encouraging to hear from someone who has worn a wig since way before surgery but Suzy is right - your hair will come back. I remember reading on the main board I think a post that said the woman had decided not to have surgery because she couldn't bear the thought of losing some hair. I felt so bad for her but do know that for many overweight people long lush hair was the only thing they liked about themselves. Having never had long lush hair it wasn't a consideration for me - I personally like my wigs and the ability to be gray one day and blonde the next - but don't stress too much about losing the hair. I sometimes think that if you cut it shorter it looks thicker and will all grow out at the same rate but the more you worry the more you'll lose - try to think of it that way anyway!! May not be true but it helps with the worrying. You are a beautiful woman and would be beautiful no matter what your hair looks like. Embrace your hair loss - it means you are a success at the surgery and your body will soon decide to start a new crop of hair.
Hugs and love,
Lana

My hair is growing back...finally, had surgery 10 mo's ago, 3mo's later noticed it falling out, tons! I freaked! just this last month I noticed my hair constantly looked frizzy on the top, looked closer and realized I have about 1-2 " new growth all over my head, can't figure out wht to do with it ,at the moment I keep it in a weird twist up in a clip, When I put it down I look sorta like carole Brady , all full on the top, and stringy bottom. I am thinking of cutting it pretty short with some of those feathery flairs coming out. I think the style is cute but I am used to having 3 chins and it would not be flattering, I now have 1.5 chins so maybe i'll give it a try. Even if you get all your protein and vit's, your still likely to lose hair, the trauma of the surgery can cause it, but the vits etc will help, and it will grow back!!!  p.s you are really pretty and no one will notice the hair with that face!
