WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

We were feeling pretty badly this morning , got started finally around ten. Made it to San Antonio , got here about 4 and have laid around the motel all afternoon and evening. I just feel so bad and sure don’t want to get on the motorcycle tomorrow morning but have to...if get to my sisters I may just stay there till Monday and maybe then start home. I have been freezing and them running fever, then cold again...

We checked into the motel 6 here and it has be totally redecorated in a very very modern sparse décor....yuck I don’t like it at all. They have laid some sort of laminate flooring that looks like really cheap tile , then the bed is a platform bed with the bedspread looks like old cheap polyester that they use to use in the 50s and 60s...and it is tan with a wide orange stripe in it , t v  is in the wall , good one but that and a little half table stuck on the wall with 2 hard plastic retro chairs.  No coffee pot, no microwave or little ref. that is one reason we always have stayed with them as well as cheap prices....but now not even coffee in your room...good grief... they have a thing that they want people to email them about the new renovations that they have done .....the first thijnk I ask them was who in the world was their hired decorator, I know they had to charge a lot because they evidently had never stayed in a motel before. After a long day on the road you want comfort. Not some hard junk.....and if this is what they are going to in all their motels I wont be staying with them any more.

SUSAN ::::::::: did you get your new shoes today? Hope they feel good....yeah lots of clothes have to be worn it is really hard to get it just right because I freese and then when the sun gets really warm I don’t feel warm all I can feel is the wind...and I will be sweaty and still feel cold.

Hopefully we will be home soon and I can get to feeling better and warm again.

SUSIE:::::: That is about how I feel too right now...sleeping in different beds every night and most of them aren’t comfortable.  Will just be glad to be home soon.

ANDY:::::: hopefully we will be home by Tuesday evening anyway.

Yes I have seen the weather and that is what we are timing it for.   Oh wanted to tell you I shipped myself a big box of stuff. Things that I bought and stuff, while in Tucson and too much to bring back with us so I mailed it to me...lol don’t know when it will arrive but will be delivered by UPS I told them to just put it on the porch...if you don’t mind putting it in the house for me if it comes before we get back I would appreciate it.

BEC:::::: I guess I am feeling some better as time goes on...still not up to par tho. Lol last summer I about suffocated poor Joe our air conditioner wasn’t on but about 3 days all summer.

I think everyone is going to have to do something if elect is going that high there is no way anyone can afford it you know? Wood heat is good but solar would be so much better. Maybe there is a way that you can make that yourself. I know there has to be.

Hope you have fun piddling with Paul :::lol

Will see you all soon. I hope as the Febuary meeting isn’t too far away.....

LOVE AND HUGS

GOD BLESS YOU

I am mad this morning. I had stayed away from my scale(hard as it was) and this morning I have gained three pounds. I do not understand. I have not eaten what I shouldn't and get my protein and water. I have not been doing much exercise due to working so much and no time. I came to terms with losing slow but gaining three pounds I am not good with. What happened? I am almost three months post op and should not be gaining. I haven't added any food to my diet and have been care full about my portions. I guess the poor kids at school will have a grumpy sub today.  I am frustrated.

Susie....I had to get on here and try to give you some hope.  I know how hard it is when our bodies rebel and we gain, or stall, or just lose slower than everybody else.  So please don't get frustrated because, believe it or not, stress is another factor in losing slow.  As is age, height and everything else we have 'going' for us.   (smiles)

You could be eating too little.  So the best place to start is to log your intake.  See how the calories, carbs, fat grams and protein grams stack up.  That will give you your best indication if you are eating enough.  If you are then it is probably something emotional.  Remember, you have been thru and still are going thru, alot these last few months.  Some bodies go into survival mode at the first sign of low calorie intake or severe stress levels.  Just review your intake and the things you are going thru and you may see a pattern.  And exercise will help, even tho I haven't been doing it either and am just as angry with myself for not being able to lose anymore.

So, beautiful lady, stand back and breathe and realize we are all here and so many of us have gone thru the same stuff.

Good Morning Mimi & Missouri...

It's to be a beautiful day! I am going to get out there and wash my puddle jumper... it sure does need it.

And I need to do a bit of baking as well.  Have to full fill a promise... guess to who? ~tee hee Paul of coarse!  That stinker! He wants choc chip cookies... I'm quite for sure he is spoiled.

We had a wonderful walk yesterday... not sure where we will go today since it is to be so nice.  I simply LOVE it when he walks with me... but I am ok walking by myself too it usually becomes my "think" time.

I'm getting the itch to plant something again... need to plan the year... I am hoping to get the double flower bed around my flag pole this year... if not then maybe next year.  Boy I sure have enjoyed that flag pole... I can tell if it's windy out there before I even go out by looking out the window to see if the flags are flying...

Well I guess I better go harass Paul a bit and see where we will walk today and I'm quite sure he is going to tell my "his belly i****ting his backbone" meaning he is hungry.... boy that seems to come up every day! ~tee hee

I am going to be gone till probably Tuesday of next week... I pray each of you stay healthy, and safe!

Maybe we will have an appearance by Miss McKenzie by then!

Bec

Susie hang in there!  Boy do I know how frustrating this process can be but you will get there I just know you will!

Dear Aunt Jan and OH Peeps-

No Mackenzie yet......We thought she may come yesterday-Megan had back labor all morning long. Was very sick at the ultra sound and they had to keep stopping so she could sit up! Poor thing!! I just held a nice cool washcloth across her forehead and I think my lil' princess WILL be here SOON! The ultrasound tech said there is NO MORE ROOM for her in there, and that her head is all the way down in the birth canal and that she is ready-we couldnt get the cute little face shot we normally get, but she was angry (baby) that we were messing with her space (megs belly).....they may induce Megan. They estimate the baby to weighs 7# 10 oz. and 20 inches. Of course, this is just an estimate.......Megs been so sick that she just doesnt want to eat or anything else, really. She has been sleeping A LOT....looks bad and she is just drained-physically. She looks just misrable and I feel so sorry for her. Cant help but to smile when Im around here, tho, her big ol' round belly just looks so cute! They may end up inducing her labor tho-due to Mackenzie not having any room in there.  Megan has more testing at the hospital in the morning-so I will know more then. Please continue to keep her and baby Mackenzie in your prayers.

Renees  been real real sick too-with bronchitis, so if you could say some prayers for her as well, that would be great.

I have been feeling better tummy wise-as I went off ALL my supplements in the high doses and we are now just introducing them back into my system slowly-and so far, so good. However, this weather is just so horrible on my bones and joints that I am just flat out miserable! We are suppose to be getting a storm coming through Sat-but I am already feeling it deep in my arthritis-and when its like this, nothing helps-just sit around on the heating pad.....which I just hate. I have so much I want to get done before the baby gets here.  Ecspically since her mommy and daddy will be staying here with her for the first 2 weeks of her life....so  I want everything to be organized and ready for our little girl.

Aaron has tomorrow off, so he is suppose to come out and help me get the crib all set up and boxes moved out to the storage building...they are ready for the sale we will be having in the spring-and her crib will go where those boxes are, well and her combo changing station/dresser.  Just have a lot to do.

I text Tammy and they got their power back on late yesterday morning. She sounded ok. She goes to Columbia today-she should be getting that last drain out today. Please pray that she has good news at the dr and for travelers mercy.

Mike is in KC today-huge meeting for his company. He got up at 4, met his boss at 6 so they could ride up together and we wont see him until 7 pm tonite.  Makes for a long day for me, since Jon will be asking for his daddy starting abt 3 pm.....and brother has art club today-so we wont see him until close to 5. Im not going in to help class today, so I will just be picking him up when he is done.

Please pray for Jan and Joe too-that they feel better! Hopefully by now, its all passed and they are back to themselves! I hope so!  Be safe Jan and Joe-and we love you guys, praying for travelers mercy as well.

Also-real quick-Please keep Marilyn, her mom and the family in your prayers. They are really having a hard time with the loss of her brother.  Thank you so much!

Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!

Thought I'd post something tonight.   I've been subbing 1/2 days all week at a local Elementary School for the Project Plus program.  I have really enjoyed myself this week!  I'm going to ask her to request me again if she ever needs a sub.  I enjoy reading and especially like to help kids learn to read.  I work with anywhere between 2 to 5 kids per group and each group is 1/2 hour.  I'm there at 8am and leave between 11 and 11:30.  Like I said, I've really enjoyed it plus the extra $$ is nice.

DH is still looking for a job.  Please pray for him.  Yesterday he was very discouraged.  He seems to be a better spirits today.  When he's home he stays glued to Fox News 24/7.  I told him I didn't think that was a good idea.  It's all gloom and doom!!  Our Heavenly Father is the KING and HE is still in CONTROL!!  We just need to remind ourselves of that and stay in step with Him and His Word.  GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!  ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!

Luke got cashier's job at the local Wal-Mart.  Tonight is his 3rd night.  He is still working with a 15 year old boy who is Autistic a few hours a week.  Tomorrow he and I are making a trip to Emporia State University.  He is going to be doing a couple "monologues" and hopefully will get some scholarship money.  Please pray for him, he is a little nervous.  David went with him last time so it's my turn to go.  I'm excited that I get to tour the campus and it's suppose to be 70 degrees tomorrow!  Plus I'm going to have the Financial Aid people go over the FAFSA application before I submit it.  I think I filled it out correctly, just want them to look over it.

Jake is still playing 8th Grade JV Basketball.  Their team is 5 and 4 this season.  Last year this same group of boys were the district champions.  The coach went to coach the girls basketball team and they couldn't find another boys basketball coach so the athletics director is coaching them.  He went to HS with my dh.  Well, he's a FOOTBALL coach and it's taken him awhile to figure out that coaching basketball is just a little different.  The kids are just now starting to play like a team and to enjoy it.  They have a tournament Saturday.  Will see how they do.

My Mom's 70th Birthday is tomorrow!  I can't believe she'll be 70.  Unfortunately, all her family lives in Mountain Home, AR or I would have a big get together for her.  I have asked her siblings to start sending me pictures of her that they have.  I want to make copies then put a DVD together for her.  At least that's the general idea.

Mama Jan - Sorry to hear you and Joe have been sick.  I hope you feel better soon.  Will be praying for travel mercies for you both.  Glad you had such a good time visiting your daughter.  So you were in AZ and not Texas?  I have no idea why I thought you were in TX!

Janet - Baby MacKenzie will be here before you know it!  We all can't wait to see her too!  Will continue to pray for her and Megan's health.  You will be a wonderful Nana!  Glad to hear that they will be staying with you the first two weeks after the birth.  Will be good for all of you.

Bec - I've missed chatting with you!  Seems like every time I pick up the phone to call something distracts me.  We gotta talk sometime and soon!  Enjoy your time with Paul and please tell him we all said hello.

Cor - Congrats on doing such a great job with your wls!  I have actually gained a few pounds.  I know it's because I'm reverting back to my old ways of eating when I'm stressed.  I've been doing better and have actually lost another lb.  Would like to lose 10 more lbs.

MO Peeps - Hope all of you have a great Friday and weekend!

Love,

Debbie D.
