WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Went to the zoo here but you cant tell it is a zoo from the road....there are no buildings except for the gift shop and restaurant.

The Animals are in very normal looking homes. In rocks and some in dens underground ets , there are underground viewing it is really neat. It is built with rocks and parts of the mountains  and the terrain is such that you have to hunt and look for the animals. They aren’t in the open . it is pretty challening. The bird areas are like back against the side of the mountain with lots of rocks and ponds and areas in that are fenced with almost invisible wire. But you walk thru the birds area it is really neat,different than anything I have ever seen..

Came back home about 2pm so we could rest and be ready to watch the Super Bowl tonight,,,,well poohy might as well just no****ched it at all.  I guess you can tell I was for the Cardinals....i thought they were going to win toward the last , they played like they were paid off actually , I guess they weren’t but !!!!! well oh well is just a  game  right? I bet there are a lot of disappointed  people from here that would disagree with us on that point.

Got a call from my daughter today , she said she had her electricity and water back on and  as soon as she gets the money to do it she is changing to gas heat ...she said at least she could have stayed warm and is going to get her a gas cook stove too; I told  her I think I am going to do the same thing...i will still have my elect heat but I want a propane tank set up and new gas lines run to everything so that I can put gas heaters out if needed.  I said that last year and didn’t get it done but I will get it done this year. Unless I move to Tucson lol . then I wouldn’t have to worry about much heat at all.  If we built a home here I would do strictly solar... no elect at all. There are more houses out here that have that than in most places.  Really works well here , especially in the adobe style homes. They are so earth friendly.

 Well I guess we will be leaving here tomorrow. I really don’t want to come home yet but need to get home get things cleaned up and start my seedings in the greenhouse.  We will probably be home around the 9^th or 10^th depending on the weather.  I told Joe that if we got home and it is still really cold im flying back down here. Lol .

 

 

SUSAN::::::: im glad some of the heat made it thru to you....I even fanned it your way but didn’t know if it having to go thru all the cold air to get to you if it would still have any warmth to it by the time it got up there or not lol .

Im sure the groundhogwill see his shadow tomorrow no matter what  at least somewhere.  You just reminded me that there will b 6 more weeks of winter no matter what lol . brrrr

I hope Joe and I stayed away long enough that it doesn’t get too bad again.

 

That is what I thought about the little church I saw too Susan. The seats in the chapel were stumps  it was really neat.

Andy sounds like Joe , that is what he said about renewing our wedding vows. He said it was still true today as it was in 87 so he didn’t see why we needed to re-new them lol

 

Susan we all will shoot right along with you when you get your date for your surgery. That will be great and you already know how to do things, since you have gone thru it once with Andy...you should do great.

 

 

LOU::::::-77 pounds ? that is really great....and staying busy is good , doesn’t give you time to think about eating all the time.

That is great that you love to do taxes for people...are you and your daughter going to the gymn daily still? I hope so that will help you so very much.

Has the real estate started picking up any yet?

 

 

 

BEC::::::: yes we are getting to see so much , Teresa is an excellent guide...she knows the things we really like to see and what we will really enjoy . we haven’t gotten thru all of them yet....

Yes im anxious to see my flowers come up. , you have never planted Zinnia? They are so easy and you don’t have to do very much with them either, one hint about them ,,,,water them from the ground , don’t sprinkle water on them will cause mold.

I use a soaker hose if they haven’t had about an ounce if they hasn’t been enough rain..

 

No im ashamed that I haven’t talked to Sugar , it is all I can remember to do this post  each night. We are really relaxing.

Well the game was ok but wished Arizona had won. Very disappointed with commercials. Didn't see any that were memorable. May have missed a few though. Several of the guys didn' t make it  here. One was sick and one just stayed home. Both their families came. We had so much food left over I am having to call my son to come get it. The kids all seemed to have a good time.
Weekends just are not long enough.

Good morning everyone.here it is monday morning already.the weekend does go by soo fast.jan you and joe have seen lot's of neat stuff out there.i would love to vist the zoo.being raised on a farm i love all kind's of anamial's.glad to here michelle got her power back on.that ice storm sure made a mess of everything.jan thank you soo much for the nice warm air.it made it through.was soo pretty again yesterday and lot's of sunshine.we can see some of the grass again.night time still get's a little chilly but the daytime has been nice.they are saying 62 by sat.andy and i already asked for the nice weather to stay even if the ground hog does see his shadow.most likley he will see his shadow in pa where i lived because they take soo many picture's of him.lol.

jan i bet teresa does not want you to leave there.we know you have her garden looking soo pretty.you have a really good green thumb.andy and i are ready to help you with a garden.fresh veg taste soo good.

you will have some fresh veg soon.when i went over yesterday to check on the green house one of your tomato plant's had some flower's starting on it.

lou sound's like you are really keeping busy with work.your weigh loss is going great also.77 pound's is great.7 is god's perfect number.

susie i know monday's do come too fast.i have a friend from ironton who i write to and she asked me to outlaw monday's.lol.she work's in a pharmacy.she is pharmacy tech.she get's soo busy at time's she said some time's it feel's like a zoo in there.lol.

bec you are such a hoot.you have the best laugh and a great smile.yes when we do not look our best or we have something happen to us that make's us want to crawl under a rock there is alway's too many people around.you getting behind the wheel of that truck is great.show's you have been working hard on losing weight.you will start to see a diffrence more and more.have faith in yourself we all have faith in you.

jan is right i will do good with my surgery.andy has been a big help to me here at home.i also have lot's of support from all my friend's here on the board.

better go for now.going to try yand get a little more sleep.then i will get a shower and start my day.make a protien shake for me and andy and do some stuff around the house after i go for a walk on the treadmill.there is alway's something to do here.like they say a woman's work is never done.lol.love ya all.we are praying for everyone's need's and for those who do not have power to get it back soon.have a good day susan

Morn'n Morn'n Morn'n....

Ok today is grunt work day... I piddled around all weekend with Paul and didn't do a thing inside... it's one of those times your glad no one dropped in for a visit... would be mighty embarrassing! ~tee hee

Dishes piled to the ceiling~ not really but sure more than I usually have... I must say it was fun piddling... but... there is always a pay day for being naughty! ~ha and today is the day!  Ugh...

Mimi I didn't know that about zinnias I will be ever so thankful for that tid bit of info when hopefully I don't kill them first off because I WOULD have watered them just like all the rest...

When I went to get Paul for the bike ride he was sound asleep and I did not have the heart to wake him up so I just went out and walked another 2.5 miles... that made nearly 7 miles for the day.... My hips are hurting when I sleep so I might be overworking them with all the walking... not sure... one side has hurt for years but seems like now it hurts when I lay on either side for very long?

I sure was glad to hear Jeanine is doing so well and losing just oodles of lbs.  I know that will encourage her greatly.

Am praying for Brandy and her family. It can be so discouraging when so many things happen all at once.

Also praying Karen heals all up real quick and is ever so pleased with the results of her PS!  Yea Karen!

Marylin also has many needs, she is going thru alot right now.

Thinking as well of Tammy~Ammy.  Have not heard about her for a few days... sure hope things are getting better for her and her family.

Also praying for a safe delivery and good health for Megan as McKenzie makes her appearance!  I'm so excited for Janet!

Debbie Darln's husband is still in need of a job... continuing to pray just the very best for him!

I don't know Sheila's situation but I think I read some place she and her family has had some difficulties thru this last storm?  Praying all is well with her now.

I know as always there are many many needs on the board and pray that each one is met according to the wonderful grace of our Lord!

Hi Auntie Jan and OH Peeps-

I thought I better get on here and post about Tammy.... I did get a text from her, she was released from the hospital and sent home with antibiotics and has to go back up this Thurs. Thats all I know so far-but she sounded good in her text-Im sure just happy to be getting to go home and had been given IV antibiotic therapy to help with the infection, so I hope thats clearing up for her.

Our Superbowl Party was a TON OF FUN! We were split half Steeler Fans (ROWDY group) and half Cardinals Fans (I was in this group-we were "normal"....LOL) Anyway-it was really a good game-ecspically the ending-but I wasnt happy-I really really wanted the Cardinals to win since they have never been in the superbowl before and so-would have been nice to see them win it!  Some good plays too-but was disappointed that there were only 4 good commercials that we all laughed and liked a lot.  Wasnt too crazy about half time either........we had a ton of food-I have only ever seen THAT much food at a restaurant-everyone had more than enough to feed all of us, by themselves-I had 8 crock pots set up all over my kitchen. Thank God I have a huge kitchen!! LOL...  I made a batch and a half of the meatballs that Fran brought to the COF party-just tweeked it a little bit-and it was a HUGE HIT! Everyone was bragging about how good they were and they just kept coming back for more and more! That made me feel good-its the first time I have ever made them.

Well, havent been feeling well, we have been passing the "bug" around. Everyone has had it. Thought we were all doing well since Saturday-and Darrel didnt feel well yesterday and Jon-o has it again today! ARGH!!!! This thing is just hanging on-every time someone gets better, someone else feels bad. No one (but me) has had the vomitting and diarrhea-but they just feel real nauseated and sick to their stomach, plus the bad headaches and all of that. Please pray that my family gets better and stays better. Thanks!

MY moms disability was approved!!! WOOOO HOOOO and guess what? She wants to go on a cruise-and she asked me to join her. Nothing big-just a 3-4 day one-but I asked Mike and he said I could go! I am SO EXCITED!   Mike and I have talked about it several times anyway-but this way-I can see if he and I would enjoy one if and when we get a chance to go together. Truth be known-IF  we can find one of those really good deals for just a couple hundred dollars, I will call his boss and approve him having the time off-and have him go with us. It would be a lot of fun and Mikes parents (adopted) said that they will watch the boys whenever we need or want them to-so will ask them to watch the boys and if Megan wants to come out for a night or two-she can. That would be great.  Cant wait.

**Just got a text from Tammy. She said that they took out one more drain while she was admitted-so she is down to one. They will hopefully remove that Thurs when she goes back up there. They STILL DO NOT HAVE POWER but she said they are managing-however-they have now lost all food out of the freezer and fridge-have found an organization that will help them with food, BUT....it will be a week-so  they are eating the canned and boxed stuff they have left and she said they will either have to go to food shelter or ? to eat until they get the help.  Man!!  At least they are keeping warm and they are alive. Im pretty thankful for that!  Please continue to keep them in your prayers as well-she has 4 families in a little house-single family small one. Thanks!

I cant remember if I posted this or not-but Megan got sent to the hospital Friday after her OB appt for a simple stress test-and the simple test ended up being a big deal with her doc being called over there and so on-the babys heart beat would NOT accelerate with contractions and whatever else-they were concerned. Megan now has to go in twice a week for check ups. She goes once a week for stress test, plus her regular appt with the doc. She will be having the little ultrasounds that her doc does to check fluids and such while she is in the office - not the big ones that show her little face and all of that-she has that one Weds morning and Renee and I have been invited to go see that!  Yay.....its going to be so awesome! I cant wait. She is big enough now to see her face so much clearer than before. I bought her the most beautiful little dress you ever saw! Oh man-I cannot wait to see her in it-Only thing is-I thought it was a newborn-well, one had this little stain on the front, so I grabbed the one behind it-thinking it was newborn-and its 3-6 month, So I am going to go back tomorrow and get the newborn one, if they still have them-they were on clearance for 1/2 price, so they may be all gone. Plus, the little matching shoes I havent been able to find in the zero-so she just may have to wear her little ruffly socks.. Will figure it out, for sure!  I keep looking at the little diapers we have - and they look like they would fit a cabbage patch doll-in fact, Im SURE THEY WOULD!  I cant believe she will fit in those!  I have been just looking at Megan and although she is sooo uncomfortable-she is just breath taking beautiful and her belly is so darn cute. Renee and I were pulling her shirt up yesterday trying to figure out when the "timer" (belly button) is going to pop out-it really looked like it was going to last week-but now that Mackenzie has dropped down, its not looking like it did.  She looks like she is down between Megans legs now! LOL......

Well, I have some calls I have to make and trying to get ahold of Megan to see if she can watch Jon after school today, so I need to get off here and get going.  Thank goodness I got most of my extra stuff done yesterday morning....the "deep" good cleaning stuff-LOL....couldnt have ALL that company over to a dirty house. Everyone always says that my house dirty is cleaner than theirs is clean-but I cant stand to feel like its not perfect-LOL.... its a mental thing, I know!

Oh-Jon and Stephs party was a blast-it was actually Jons-but he wanted to combine it with Stephanie and she was kind enough to let him "think" it was combined, even tho her candles werent on his cake-etc-kinda funny. Anyway, we had a blast at least for the couple of hours we were there and he was just on a cloud! He LOVES that place!
