Update on DS Wrestling...oh what a day
Warrensburg had a touney to day...total of 10 team!!!! That a total of 6 matts going all at the same time!!! DS new that he was going to get a whippn today....everyone that he was wrestling was ranked HIGH on the State list.....so out of 4 matches....he won 2..lol
His last match was against some guy ranked 1st in state for the last 3 years and 6th in the Nation!!!! Yeah he didnt win that one...lol but the guy was such a good sport....yea see he weighed in at 285 and had to starve this past week to make weight and DS weighed in at 197....lol so when the match started the guy sort of toyed with DS and then picked him up swung him around a few times and the GENTLY put him down on the mat....pheww dont you know that I was really scared...lol DS got up laughing....guess the guy told DS what he was going to do and then asked him....do you want me to pin ya right off or wait a while...lol DS son said lets wait till the end of the first quarter...lol There are not too many wrestlers that would have done that....!! After the match was done....he came over to the coaches and let them know that he didnt want to hurt DS...so he was gentle with him...lol What a guy....he really was a nice one.....only problem is now though....DS has to wrestle him again at Districs in Branson....that sucks for DS.....Hopefully he will at least place in the top 4 to be able to go to State.
So that was my day....what an exciting one....but will be glad when seasons over too....kinda...lol

From a mom who had 2 sons in wrestling, I understand it all. My youngest son did get hurt in one match and they carried him off on stretcher after supporting his neck as they were afraid he broke it. Only sprained it and continued the next week. It is nerve wracking when all the matches are going on at the same time.
Hope this finds you doing fine. I am having a hard time finding time to get on here much. But I think of you often. Colette
