No way can you blame yourself for someone elses actions. If I do something stupid like eat a whole bag of pork rinds is it your fault?(I did not) NOOOOO.We are all adults and have to make our own decisions. All we can do is encourage and advise. If people do not want to listen or follow rules they have to deal with the aftermath.
I feel sorry for Misty but no one but her can make it better. My guess is she has been to a doctor before since she said Dr H told another doctor it was a mistake to do her surgery because she can't follow directions. I just hope she hasn't done serious damage to herself. It sounds like she is having no success in following the rules. It's one thing to bend the rules a little or overeat once in a while but to think you busted the staples is another. I wish we knew what has happened to her.

I agree with you-PATTY....YOU ROCK!!! PLEASE PATTY, dont you waste another moment feeling bad for anything..YOU did YOUR part as her ANGEL-there is NOTHING you can do if she doesnt want to take responsibility for her life and doing what is right. Its a cop out and if she WAS eating so healthy-something tells me she wouldnt have gotten that big and her doc wouldnt have wanted her to have the surgery. Obviously, she is a good at game playing and giving false truths-or she wouldnt have EVER passed the psych test and Dr. H would NEVER have done the surgery on her! Im sorry, but if someone is willing to give up the good life to eat pasta-then they are right upstairs-and no amount of anything you could have done- could help change that! It makes me MAD that she wont take responsibility for her own actions! WHO the hell goes through a life threatening surgery turns around and says-I wasnt given any information beforehand! My big old ass she didnt! She HAS all the same info as we do....so sweety-dont let this get you down- Unfortunately, Misty doesnt want anyones help-she WANTS her pasta and her crappy way of life-and looks like she is going to get exactly what she wants-so wash your hands of it and pray for her. she really, really needs it. I, for one, am not going to respond to anymore of her posts-I dont play those games-this surgery has helped too many and too many had to fight for it-but I have yet to run into anyone who didnt know what they were getting into - and Ive angeled some 15 girls! So-ANGEL ON GIRL! We love you and Cor-thanks for thinking of Patty-no one even thought Patty didnt do her job-in fact, I believe Patty had to post to get Misty to even contact her before.....should have been an indication right there....
