surgery

Does anyone know if the RNY can be undone?  how risky is it?  where would you go?  would insurance pay for it?

Don't give up yet. Things will get better.  We have all regretted it at some point but it passes quickly. When you see the weight falling off and start to feel better you will be so glad you did this. I had some complications after surgery and spent the first week in the hospital. It took me a while to feel anything like myself. I am so happy I did this. I feel better everyday.  I know it is hard right now but it does get better.Hang in there and give your body time to heal. You have been thru a lot and need to heal . Give yourself some time. Keep us informed on how you are doing.

also how do you know if your staples are torn from the stomach ?  How do you know if you have messed up your stomach?

IM NO Dr but i would imagine severe belly cramping,bleeding through urine and b/m;s. Then yull get nasty infection from all the stuff going out into yur open tummy cavity which will turn sepis if you do not get to the er fast... It is not a pretty way to die. Are you running a temp?

why would want it undone???didnt you read and understa nd all that you HAD to do after surgery? and what you would be eating ? Dr. H. gives us a big White binder with all info in it before we have surgery.....did you not read it? the surgery cant be undone without there being a really really serious reason for it... and no insurance im sure wouldnt pay for it...it might if it was life or death situation but why????J?why????? what is the real problem....did you think it was a magic pil??? i dont mean to be mean to you , i just dont understand what is wrong ., really?? we all care about you and want you to do  well. and it isnt as hard as you seem to think it is...you just have to get your mind wrapped around this new way of eating which is HEALTHY.......jan

Misty The only way any Dr will redo the surgery is if it is life threating complications from having the rny,If you have failed at loseing your weight and have gained it all back, A reversal is very very dangerous,Way more than the rny it's self,And no insurance comopany will pay to have it done unless there are major complications from the surgery its self,life threatning complcations,

Misty Please CALL dr H's Office tomorrow and talk to DR H,Tell him what you are feeling and going through.Let Dr H Help you get set up wit a coucilor and a nutrionist.He can;t help you if you don;t tell him how you are feeling,So please I'm Begging you to get ahold of DR H Soon as possible;

Maybe even get you into a inhome therapy place.MIsty you need help and you need it faster than fast.

I am not calling Dr H because all he will say is told u so sort of speaking.  he told the er dr in Bolivar that it was a mistake to do the surgery because Icouldn't follow the guidelines.  Going to bed running a fever Ithink. not sure can't find a thermoter.  all i know is i am in a hot sweat .

Misty if you think you have a fever ,YOU NEED TO FIND THE THERMOMETER AND TAKE YOUR TEMP. Could be an infection and they are not something to mess with.  AGAIN YOU COULD DIE. Do you really wanna die and leave your daughter without her mommy? Quit feeling sorry for yourself and pull yur ass up by the bootstraps and do what you need to do to take care of yourself.Find the damn temp thing and take yur temp.Infections can turn septic really fast and  tomorrow your daughter could very well wake up without her mother.

Why do you think you may have pulled the staples? Have you done something you shouldn't?Are you just having some pain and don't know why? Maybe with some more details we can find a way to help you. We all care and want the best for you. Let us know whats going on. If you feel something is wrong you have the doctors number in the book. Call. If you have fever or blood its time to call. I am sick about this.  I was Misty's angel, and I answered every question she asked.  She sounded so good when she came home.  I know I shouldn't feel bad about this, but I do anyway.
