WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY
Today I did something I have never done before....I hiked up a mountain and down again...was so much fun to do something that I have wanted to do but. never did I have done it back when I was a kid , we climbed all sorts of things when we were young
now to tell the truth ....my knees are still not that great so Joe went in front of me both ways with our backpack and I held on so I wouldn’t fall and then going up some of the way up was so steep that my poor ole knees just wouldn’t pull me up....so I would pull on the backpack and tell him yeeehaw ....lol
We had so much fun when we got up over the crest there was a running stream with some water falls..they all went swimming but it was too cold for me. I sat in the sun and just enjoyed that. I got some sun tan started...
It was 73 today will be 77 tomorrow. Don’t know yet what we will do. Teresa has to work tomorrow night. So we might not do anything for tomorrow. We will see.
Oh Oh last night when it was just about dark the javelinia’s came into the yard...they sound so funny sort of a grunt, and purr ...weird. we threw them out about 4 handfuls of cat food and they didn’t leave till every single drop of the food was gone... I got some pictures of them , they were right up by the porch...
Just a few minutes ago was on the couch watching tv and all of a sudden heard this crazy wild noisy and it was coyotes out in the field across the street from Teresa... they were probably only about 100 yards eerier sounding... anyway we are having lots of fun and seeing lots of new things. Doing lots of things I have wanted to do and never have...just what I need to do ...muscles are all hurting but a good hurt...haha yeah that is what they say but I don’t think there is much you can say about hurt other than it hurts.
I have to go check on supper. Im cooking Flounder stuffed with crab meat. Then some green beans and a salad...sounds good to me...i am eating so much better since I have been here. ...
Sugar I found the pure protein Peanut butter eclipse protein bars for 1.00 each at the krogers store here. I opened one and took a bite of it to see if I liked it and oh wow they are great...so I bought 25 of them all they had....they are great. So I have been getting in
thousand calories a day ..been having my protein coffee in the morning and then for a snack found these little 100% fruit strips that are only 50 calories ...will have one of them and one in the afternoon for a snack...a protein bar for lunch and like tonight I will have 2 oz of flounder with crab stuffing 1 tablespoon of green beans and 2 slices of tomato...
so I am eathing better than I was. If after eating all of this I add the calories up and I don’t have enough I will eat a good for me snack to add them up to 1000...
SUSAN::::::::awaaaaaa Susan im really really sorry that it is so cold there. Got up to 73 today and so sunny and pretty. No humidity..lovely weather. Wish all of you were here.

LOU::::: glad to hear that you passed your tests...i would imagine that you really are busy with taxes....
I have found that when you just throw up and then feel better it isn’t dumping but just throwing up due to one of about 3 things...too big of a bite, not chewed well enough or eaten too fast or(ok 4 things. ) something or part of it didn’t agree, probably in that case was the butter. I still have to be careful at over 2 years out... so don’t put the crab on the DNE list yet just take it easy the next time. hey you are doing a great job on your weight loss.
SUSIE:::::: I know you have been fighting losing weight but sweetie look at your before pictures and your latest pictures...there is a world of difference....you have lost a world of inches....if you can lay the pictures out side by side. And look at them really good. Cover up your face on them and look at them as someone else. And make an honest answer about how much diffent your body looks. They look really good at your face. Ok? They don’t ever look like the same person honest.
Take care and keep on doing what you are doing. It will work. Ok?
POOH BEAR:::::: well how did Nikki do at her moms this time? Don’t worry about it she will realize one day soon what a crappy woman she is and wont want anything to do with her anymore. I have seen it over and over...so I will keep you and Nikki too in prayer...love both of you
Would the trees you might be talking about that laura left you be Hibiscus? If so I would imagine they are hybrids and like the outside in summer but have to come in the house before frost. But all of that is just a guess ....
So why did Laura decide to move...Im really sorry she did but you will make it on your own , many of us have you know.
Yummy chocolate and coconut? That really sounds good....that is ok if you can only eat ½ of one at once. Just make them smaller when you roll them out ok?Sometimes I will make them real tiny ....i especially did when I work and didn’t need to have something in my mouth for very long.

Hello to all.hope everyone stayed warm last night sure did get cold.burrrrrr.it is only going to be colder today.maybe we should all go to see joe and jan.we would bring rebel with too.lol.77 and sunshine sound's really good about now.jan sound's like you really enjoyed hiking up the mountain.i know it is a good form of a work out.i would need andy to stand in front of me like joe did for you.sound's like your daughter has a really nice place there.how is your other daughter doing with her smoking?is she going to quit?we will keep on praying that she does.we know she would feel soo much better.
jan did you see on tv where all the new show's are starting soon.survivor start'son feb the 12 and dancing with the star's start's on march the 9.it seem's like they just ended.this month is flying by soo fast.time does fly by when you are having fun.lol.
susie you look great.i have found out that sometime's you do loose more inche's first before pound's.before you know it the pound's will melt away like jan said just keep on doing what you are doing.

Got up this morning and have about 3 inches of snow and it is still snowing. Very pretty looks all clean and beautiful outside.
Yes Jan the tree's are hibiscus. One is full of buds ready to bloom.
Nikki called last night crying,She wanted to come home. Was very hard to hear her,But Gail and i got her calmed down and she said she would stay and come home this morning. So waiting on her call so we can go get her. My heart hurt so much for her and i miss her.
Laura had to move because her so called hubby walked out on her 2 days before christmas and she has noway of paying rent or bills. So she moved to her ex sis n laws to wait on getting on houseing.
I'm gonna go out in a bit and get some snow .Put it in freezer for Nikki,She loves snow icecream and it brings back good memories for me of my great grandmother.
I need to mop and wax the floors but won't do much good with the new snow.Hardwood is so hard to keep clean and i get very irritated after i clean them and they get tracked up.Makes my head spin around LOL.
well gonna get me a slimfast and fix Gail something for breakfast.Hope everyone has a great day.

HELLO HELLO HELLO EVERYONE!!!! I am going to ATTEMPT to get a real post done this morning.....and am hoping I can really get it done-LOL...but I still have a house full of kids and things going on, so I cant promise-just try my best. I wasnt even going to attempt it until later, but I figured I had about 1/2 hr, may as well try...right? Besides-I sure MISS everyone. I have been in and read posts here and there as I have had the time. Its been either read OR post, cant do both, and I have wanted to check up on all my peeps and make sure your all doing good! I wish we all lived close enough to get together on a saturday afternoon or evening for bbq or cards, stuff like that!
OK-let me first say that my youngest daughter turned 18 yesterday. She didnt want a big fancy party right now, she just wanted her b-friend and family together and her parents-AKA Mike and I, not her "two" dads that live together. So, we went shopping to the mall, ran some errands, stopped at her grandmas to get her bday present (my moms) and then Renee and Larry came over and we BBQd and the guys were playing video games when we got home-then we ate, they watched a movie while us girls talked and then we ALL played Guitar Hero-and we had a blast. Stephanie-the youngest in the room starts talking about how tired she was-well, it was after 1 am already!!! wow...So off to bed she went and then we played a little longer, and then it was 2 and we had to stop-they had to get headed home because Larrys daughter is being baptized today and they needed to get home to get some sleep and then get up for church. We had so much fun and It felt SO GOOD to have some company and have good conversation, just real nice. Love those 2 so much. I sure hope they come back for the Superbowl party we are having next Sunday.
Did anyone see that we are under a severe winter storm warning? We are here where I live anyway. They are calling for ice that is so extreme that we will lose power and trees again. We are going to go get gas for our generator-its a tiny one, but it will keep the blower on the fireplace going. They are even naming Joplin, MO on the national weather channel. So, going to get gas for the generator and fill a lot of containers with water and get all prepared-we were somewhat prepared last time-as far as with enough water and such-but didnt have enough proper food for us-so going to get some foods that are easy to make on the fireplace (the top can be used like a stove-can put a pan on it and it will get the pan hot enough to cook food!)
Steph has a dental appt in Springfield tomorrow-as well as Renees daughter-and they were going to go to those appts and then Renee had appt with her foot doc that she was going to go to while I had the girls at the dentist-and then we were all going to go to the meeting tomorrow night-but its not looking like we will be making it that way at all. I am praying that we dont get another ice storm like we did in Dec 2007 and then beginning of 2008. That one was horrible!!!! I dont have to tell all of you that-but when you live out in the country and its not too populated, your not at the top of the list for getting your electricity back! Since we have a well for our water-when we lose power-we lose our water too.....so we will be storing water in every container that will hold it and then I will buy some gallons of water...get all the blankets and candles together, stuff like that-so thats what my day is going to consist of. I have to take Spencer home to Carthage and Steph home to Joplin, stop at the store and then come home and get all that ready. Id rather get all that together and not use it-then not get it together and have a mess and try to rush IF it does happen-and if it happens at night, it will just be a hassle-so going to make sure thats all squared away today.
I am also making a ham dinner-so when we are done eating, we will have the left over ham for sandwiches and such-so thats a good thing.
Please pray that everyone stays safe and that this horrible ice storm they are calling for misses us.....thanks! I appreciate it!!
Megan went to her appt Friday and her doc said any time now. She is doing good as far as her b.p. It was normal. She only gained one pound this past week. I went Friday night when I picked up the kids to come spend the weekend-we stopped at WM and I got Mackenzie her precious little dress I had been wanting to get her to come home from the hospital in..
Well, I intend on getting back in and finish this later-but for right now, I am going to end this and get brunch finished and then try and get stuff done-please pray that Megan is okay and that when she does go in labor-it wont be when this weather is horrible. I will try and get in here and finish posting later on. I think of you often, your all in my thoughts and prayers and I have so much to say to all of you!! Please remember Marilyn in your prayers as she just lost her brother Saturday. Thanks. Love, Janet
