WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

We walked , we toured , we looked at all sorts of things....Tucson style gardens , and gardening centers....Found Teresa several dollars worth of plants most of them cactus and succulents but still pretty......i though I had seen most styles of cactus but NO I HAVENT...wow lots of varieties. We drove and walked some of the way thru the Saguaro National Park....oh wow beautiful   lots of cactus of all kinds and palo verde trees and the Big Huge Saguaro cactus.  These are the cactus that like they are being held up....did you know that it takes 50 years for them to get big enough to just start budding the extra arms??? I took lots and lots of pictures ,,,if I ever get to stop long enough I will put them on my web site posting so I can get them all on one place. 

The mountains today were misty looking. It sprinkled off and on several times today but still it was 84... right now at 1:am it is 65 degrees yet. Feels like summer time.

Im almost thinking of selling everything and moving out here. My Arthritis is minimal pain. I haven’t taken any pain pills since I have been here.  Now I know why Janet said they were thinking about moving here.  

Janet where in Az were you all thinking of moving too? North or South? North still has a lot of snow ...

 

 

 

SUSAN:::: I Tried really I did to send you some warm air....wasnt a lot of sunshine here today either but it was warm....wish you could have seen the National Park with us today...it was just beautiful , with the montains looming up all around us ...while we were down in the Sononan Desert. I never though a Desert could be as pretty as this was...

And I always thought a desert was just sand , which some of them are. But this one has a lot of green in it besides the cactus....

Joe kept trying to find a big black tarantula

Yeah it is about time for a lot of the tulips to start poppitng their heads up  it wont hurt them. Hasn’t yet anyay. The daffodils should be coming up some too...

My flower beds up by the front of the yard are all tulips and should be starting soon.

Hope everything does better this year...

I would imagine it would have been a funny looking picture ofme being helped on this the upside down thing lol

I still feel good today but am beginning to be tired and worn out...i need to finish this up and get to bed , don’t know yet what we will do tomorrow...

 

 

SUGAR:::::; hello sister ..yes Teresa has a fellow. He is the same guy that she used to date when she lived here before....anyway he seems like a nice guy.. keeps you smilling and laughing. But very smart too.

Teresa is in her eliment here and she loves it , I can see why, her allergies are almost gone.

I am looking forward to today. It is gonna be 60 and sunny. I have a trip up to the lake with a group from the post. I had to say no when they called to ask me to wor****ep saying I need to buy clothes but I go and wind up buying smaller stuff than I can wear now. My weight has seemed to stall again. I sure was hoping it would not happen so soon. I have been very careful about my portions and water. I have always been able to get my protein. I have not been exercising as much as I hoped I would. I have been working to much.The fact I do not sleep well I am sure makes an impact.
I have to admit I was not an Obama fan during the election but I am very optimistic that he will be a great president. I have been impressed with him in the last month.I suppose time will tell but I believe he will be good for the country. None of the middle school kids cared about the inagaration at all. Years from know they will wish they had paid attention.
Jan you are enjoying it out there now but in August you would not. Don't believe because its a dry heat it isn't as bad. When its 110 outside humidity doesn't really matter.It just too hot. I do remember my first day In El Paso, it was 111 and my kids went swimming and when they got out of the pool they shivered because the evaporation was so fast. It didn't last long though.The area is beautiful .

Sis, you wouldnt like it in the summer, but I guess you could keep your place here so you could have your pretty gardens and then go there in the fall and winter, for other type gardens...lol! Sure would miss you tho.

Chelle is doing ok. For now the job is still ok. I think if it happens they will just go in one day and the doors will be closed. Praying that it doesnt happen.

The kids are planning another play for spring. They are going to do "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe"  They do such an excellent job, I just cant wait to see it. The try-outs were the other day so Im just anxious to here who got what part. Skyler wants a part so he can use his British accent. He really is good at it. lol!  Their church may be planning a mission trip to Hondurus and the youth might get to go...Chelle wants her and Christian to go together. Well Skyler heard them say kids and he told his mom he wanted to go and was sooooo excited and said "mom, it would be such a great chance for me to grow closer to the LORD!" And then she told him it wasnt for kids, just youth and adults and he got terribly upset and cried and cried. Ive always felt like he would someday go into missions.

His other grandpa had heart surgery 2 weeks ago and before he left for surgery Skyler said to him. " I just want to know do you believe in GOD,...Larry answered Yes. Then Skyler said, "Well, are you saved?" Laryy said yes Skyler I am...Sky then told him, "OK, that's all I wanted to know!"  He is a good little fellow so pray for him to keep that spirit about him. He will be 10 in a few days, so 2 more years before he's considered a youth at thier church and can go on a mission trip. Bless his heart.

Good morning to all hope everyone stayed warm last night.it sure got cool again.but it is going to be really nice today before the really cold air start's to move in again.we sure are not looking foward to what it is calling for on monday and tuesday.burrrrrr.

jan everything sound's soo pretty where you are at.tell joe he can keep on looking for the big black spider's.if he find's any he does not have to share them with me.lol.

did you finally get your laundry done?laundry mat's are not cheap anymore.

jan rebel is soo funny.the other day when i went to see what needed to be watered in the greenhouse,rebel wanted to come in with me.so i let him in.but when he seen me pick up the hose,he wanted back out really quick.lol.guess he thought i was going to give him a bath.

when andy went for a walk yesterday rebel went walking all the way around with him.first time he did that.he looked soo happy that someone was walking.i still use the treadmill.i can walk more and i dont lose my breath soo fast.i hope when i have my surgery i can go walking outside when it is nice without losing my breath or my knee's hurting soo much.

susie you will have those time's when your weight loss stall's.before you know it more weight will be coming off.just hang in there.that is what i tell andy all the time.but i still have to smack him time to time to okeep him in line.lol.

tammy soo glad to hear your surgery went well.we know you feel a better.

barbara how are you doing how is baby?i bet she wont leave your side.

I am so looking forward to today,suppose to be almost 60. And my old bones are gonna be so happy LOL.
 Jan i am so glad you are haveing a great time on your trip.
 
I have been feeling very sad and  lonely about Laura leaving , She moves today, We went for our last walk together last night and was a good walk but sad. We walked arm in arm people probably thought we were kinda funny but i really didn't care.
 I am sad she is leaving but she has to  do what makes her happy.
 And as i was praying last night i could of swore that the Lord actually talked to me. I swear i heard his voice tell me that even though Laura will not be here to walk with you, you will not be alone, I will be there by yur side walking with you.
Has anyone else ever heard the lord talk to them? or is it our subconcious talking to us? Maybe i have just finally went completely nuts. LoL

I have decided this is my journey and i can't depend on noone but me to make it work. but so far i am not doing a good job at it, my weight is driving me insain . probably because i haven't had any protein nectar to drink for a couple months. Can;t afford it right now. And i notice when i have it i lose if i dont i gain and fight to lose every oz. Very irritating . But I know things will turn around soon.

Gail is working today and hopefully tomorrow so that will help some,But he has an  ent appt the 29th, and cardio appt the 5th and Nikki has phsycologist appt in columbia the 26th, Then my 6 month check up is the 27th of Feb.
They have to come first .She needs emotional help and some meds to help her and his heart is more important than me right now.

I want to Thank all who have said such kind and encouraging words to me. You guys are the BEST.

Well since i am home allalone except ,for Harley,Sam and Pickles i am going to enjoy me some me time,Download some music to put on nikkis MP3 player so i can use it on my walks.

Hi Aunt Jan and OH Peeps-

I hope that this post finds everyone doing great. At least, my hope is-that you are enjoying a little nice weather today. We are suppose to get in the 60s today and if we do start to warm up, we are going to pack a picnic and go to the park-and we are taking the pooch with us!

I finally got some real sleep last night. About 5 hrs. I did get up 3 times, but fell back to sleep each time right away. Thats the most I have gotten, IF I get any at all-since I had my appt on the 13th and she switched my meds. I feel rested-but I still dont feel pain free yet. I was feeling pretty good until I went to the testing and they treated me like a pretzel and that was that. I hope they do have the results into my doc tomorrow like they are suppose to. Originally it was weds or thurs-but when I didnt get in and out in the time they thought, because of how late it got-they said it would be delayed a day. Im not stressed about it-I just want it over with.

Well, tammy sounded so good last night! Im so excited for her. I hope she is STILL feeling good today. Im afraid to call her and find out she sounded that good because of the pain block-LOL.... Please continue to pray for her, for a speedy and uneventful, and as pain free as possible recovery. I know she appreciates it-and so do I....Tammy was my first person I ever "angeled" or signed up to angel. I think I had others that went before her-but thats just because she had to lose all that weight and so on......so when she was having her t/t-she said it was only right that I be her angel again-LOL...although, we are more like sisters now than anything. Just wished we lived a little closer!

I havent heard any updates from Sheila either, about her dad.  Waiting to hear back from her. So, please remember her and her dad and family in prayer as well.

Megan is still not feeling good and still having contractions and lots of other pressure feelings. Still cant drive, so we are having the pleasure of being around her a little more.  Cant wait till that lil' gal gets here!

Anyone heard from Cor or Peggy? Sandy? Where is everyone? I hope everyone is okay.

Well, I need to get this posted and get going. I have Stephs 18th bday Saturday, and then Jons bday 4 days later-and we are having Renee and her "friend" Larry over Saturday too-so I have errands to run today and tomorrow.

Hey Jan and All,
    Just a quick note.I have been having alot of back pain.Really had me layed up for days. I went to the Dr. on Tues. and she gave me a steroid shot in my right lower back. It has helped alot. So now tomorrow I go and get one in my left side. Hopefully this will help me for awhile.
     I also wanted to tell you all that my son and DIL are pregnant again. So I am gonna be a G-ma again.Yeah!!! So far all is well and no signs that she will lose it this time.She is about seven weeks along. So please pray for them that all goes well.
    I go see Dr. Hornbostel on the 5th of Feb. for my one year check up.Hopefully he thinks I am doing good,lol.
