This morning I sit here and reflect a bit on my life and how the Lord has certainly blessed me.  I thought back on how some days I have all the strength I need to get through the day and some days I feel so weak(spiritually) that I don’t know how I will make it the rest of the day.  The Lord has really be teaching me things that I didn’t realize He was teaching me until now.  It’s amazing sometimes how the Lord shows us things and we don’t even realize it then it hits you square between your eyes.  In Psalms today a couple verses really hit me, verse 32 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.  Of course I’ve known that all along that our strength comes from God but for some reason this morning it was like a light bulb going off that God, our God, our Lord and Savior is where we get our strength from, the strength we need to over come laziness and get out there and exercise, the strength we need to push back from the table when we have had enough to eat, the strength we need to resist the temptations of eating the wrong food, it’s GOD who gives us that strength, but you know what?  We have to ask Him for it. Verse 33 goes on and says He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. If he makes my feet as deer then there is no excuse for me not getting out there and walking, oh boy, did that hit me hard.  Verse 34 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. Don’t you think when we are tempted with food we ought not eat that we are doing battle? Who trains us for the battle? God, and you know when God trains us, He don’t mess around, He equips us with everything we need to be victorious. Verse 35 You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. He gives us HIS shield of victory, well you know there is no way we can lose if we take His shield and use it.   Then I read on into Proverbs and was like, “duh!! Andy where has your head been" Verse 7 in Proverbs says Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.  Though it cost all you have, get understanding. My my my, this goes right along with what God i****ting me with this morning, take His wisdom He has given us and use it, and get the understanding He has given us and run with it.  Verse 8 and 9 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor." Isn’t that beautiful? See what taking His wisdom upon us will do for us?  Lastly, look what the word says will happen to us if we take His take what God says and apply it to our lives, verse 10 Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. Doesn’t that just make you wanna shout? If we just listen to Him and take His word and run with it and apply to our lives the years of our life will be many, awesome!!!

Well I’m sorry this is so long this morning, God is really speaking to me volumes this morning, it’s been there all along for the taking, I just haven’t taken it, til now.  Now I’m gonna run with it!

***Bec***For me too, I it seems I fight the “FLESH" all day everyday and I know when I give into the flesh I feel like I have failed and for me I tend to want to give up and go hide in a corner.  I think with being faithful in reading His word this year satan is really trying his best to come at me but each day I read I get stronger and stronger, for 44 years I have given into the flesh, well Im here to tell ya, not anymore, satan is under my feet whether he likes it or not.  Thank you so much for your encouraging word yesterday,  Its great that we can relate to one another as we all read His word, makes me know that I’m not the only one going through stuff.

***Peggy***Isn’t it awesome what happens when we do allow Him to take control of our lives?  I’m realizing more and more how I want His victory in my life because without it I can’t get through the troubled times and trust me, the trouble times are numerous.  Like you said if we can just learn to give Him control, thank you for sharing, it really does help me and I know it helps others that read this.

God is really blessing us all for being faithful in reading His word, keep up the good work y’all.

Isaiah 45:3
"And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name"

Did you know there are treasures hidden on the inside of you? There are gifts, talents, and abilities inside of you that you don’t even know about.  Oftentimes, it´s during seasons of difficulty or darkness that those hidden treasures are revealed to us. When we go through times of adversity, strength arises, new abilities arise, new talents. We are "reinvented" so to speak.

I think about when my father went on to be with the Lord. It was a dark hour for me, but out of that difficulty the Lord revealed hidden treasures on the inside of me that I didn´t even know about. Look at David in the Bible. Before Goliath, he was known as a shepherd boy. But after he conquered Goliath, after he went through that adversity, he was known as a mighty warrior, and eventually, a mighty king.

If you are going through a difficulty today, if you lost your job or a loved one, remember, God still has a purpose for you. He´ll take what the enemy meant for evil, and He’ll turn it around for your good. Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping because He´s ready to reveal those hidden treasures on the inside of you!

Today's thought: Let the word sink deep into your spirit and stir up the hidden treasures.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Andy ...

What a wonderful job you did with the scripture this morning!  It was GOOD WORD!

I think there seems to be and not just for one of us but for several at this time a real time of testing if you will...

You can know that if we purpose a higher place in the Lord the devil is not going to like it, he NEVER does and it will seem like all hell is breaking loose... it's going to be like that most likely because we live in a fallen world where good vs. evil is sooo sooo sooo prevalent!  So we have to be ready to do battle and the verses today are so equipping and assures us that the Lord will provide just what we need no matter what that need is and He will go before us and and make our way victorious!!!

But like anything else in life... as the scripture indicates over and over again ... we have to place ourselves in the position to receive and that's NOT always easy... it usually means CRUCIFYING the FLESH!!! ouch! ~tee hee  Oh boy I can preach myself a sermon!

Anyway in all of that said I get great comfort in the fact that the provision has been made for us!  We are blessed!

Andy... this tread is blessing me greatly... thank you again for doing it... I know you are going to see great things as a result of being faithful to answer the Lord's call on your life!
