WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Well we finally , finally arrived at Teresa’s at Tucson....we left Heming New Mexico at 9am and was beautiful balmy 40 degrees brrrrrrrrr that is miserable on the bike... went about a mile and stopped and went into the bathroom of a station and put on insulated underwear, socks, boots. And full face helmet.  And promptly fell asleep lol ...

When I woke up we were out of New Mexico and into  AZ Yippee......we stopped at a rest stop where they had the “THING"  have no idea what the Thing is or was or will be , I didn’t see the “thing" didn’t think it was worth the money to pay to go see the “thing" it wasn’t probably anything different than any of the other things we have see in our life time.

When we came out of that place it was finally warm wow. We found the sun and heat and warmth....80 degrees. Temps for tomorrow is again to be in the 80s. all this week except for Thurs I think it is suppose to be cold and only get up to 60. think I can stand that cold.

We went out to eat tonight with Teresa to a Greek restaurant.  I had a wonderful meal but couldn’t eat much of it because dummy me grabbed up the pita bread and ate a couple of bites of it and almost got sick and because of that couldn’t eat much supper. But it was good . So the little box came home with us....Joe and Teresa  ate all of what they had plus those dogs ordered baklava. And they sat there and ate that wonderful googy sweet stuff in front of me...darn...oh well I had a taste....

TAMMY  V::::::: im so sorry that you are having trouble  with eating.  Maybe with doing the pouch test you can get a handle on about the carbs and the amount you are eating.

You know some days I think I sure have eaten a lot of food today and I will sit down and write it all down and it isn’t much at all but most times when I feel like that I have eaten way too many bad carbs....what are your trigger foods? Sweets, salty, starches?  The 5 day pouch test will if you really stick to it and do it exactly as it says will help get that stuff out of your system..and if 5 days isn’t enough I have done it again .back to back. And that really makes me be aware of what I am doing to myself.   Keep coming onto the board and we are here to help ....but you will have to be here to remind us to help ok?

SUSAN::::::stay warm . wish you were here in this pretty weather. ...Joe and I are having the best time , we just might not get home for awhile...oh I just remembered something. In the house in the bottom drawer by the sink. There is some onions and potatoes. Go get those out and use them ok? They wont be good by the time we get home.. if the potatoes aren’t any good just throw them in the mulch pile...ok? appreciate it...

JANET:::::::I know what you mean about the snap crackle pop  guys being around this past week end.  They have been riding on the trike with me...this whole trip. Teresa knows a good massage therapist  so I think we are going to call her tomorrow...i really need a massage after this trip.

Yeah I would say that the state is pretty excited about the  football game....and I would like to see the Cards win... lol lets see how many people respond to that....

Did you tell Shelia that she has a new secret pal? And you too I guess. I know I did.

Hey I hadn’t heard of the cell phone company doing that ..would be a neat way to get a lap top.....

LOU:::::: so very glad that your grandpa is doing well now....we old people really surprise you all some times lol....

I hope the housing market keeps going back  up and you keep being busy as a bee

PEGGY:::::: lol you silly girl you and your cleaning house.....hey I want to know something:, how many houses have you lived in since you have been married?

If it is more than than just the one you are in I have decided I know what happened....you just flat dab wore them out cleaning on them....rubbing them just wore them down to nothing lol ...

POOH BEAR:::::: we will keep you and all your family in our prayers....love you girl...

SANDY::::::: LOL  I have read the articals from the extension office about fruit trees and it is a big mess to try and figure out what or when they are saying to do what. Seems each type of fruit tree is different ...i will have to make a schedule  real plain on a poster and than way I will be able to say it in my words  to get it done.

Did you all get snow. ? lol  have you had much so far this winter??

SUSIE:::::: that is a shame that you had no heat in that room...werent the kids about frozen to the bone?

So what has happened to the Rio Grande? Was it drained  or just dried up?

SUGAR:::::: THANKS for praying for warm weather....we all need it I think.

I bet your room is looking pretty. You do such a good job of  decoration. You should make a tape of you decorating and send it to them and get on on one of those shows.

LOVE AND HUGS

GOD BLESS EACH OF  YOU

Farmers along the way just use the river for irrigation and way upstream they use it to. It is sad because it used to be a large river. I thought it looked like a creek too. I have no idea what the thing is.
I am off to the middle school today I sure hope they have the heat fixed. I will wear my coat all day if not.I imagine we will watch the inaguation this morning. I doubt the kids will pay much attention. It is a historic moment they should remember but you know kids. I know when they walked on the moon I didn't think to much about it. With all the technology today I guess it would take something like teleporting to get their attention.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Y’all,

Bbbbrrrrrr its cold out this morning.  Yesterday it was pretty cold all day and windy, I was already getting used having it in the 50’s.  Had to run to town to buy a few groceries and time we got back it felt like the temp had dropped 20 degrees, don’t think it was that much but sure felt like it.  Not much really going on here, just trying to stay warm, doing a few odd projects around the house.  Supposed to be up in the 50’s today so hopefully I can get my lazy self out there and walk. I’m doin good on eating and stuff but my exercising has gone to pot,  I guess I need a good kick in the bum,  that’s next on the list to get back on track.

***Jan***Glad you made out to your daughters ok.  I remember as a kid when we lived in El Paso the rio grande back then wasn’t much to look at, like Susie said its pretty much used for farming irrigation.  I miss El Paso, hopefully in the next year or so we will get out there to visit, its been 25 years I guess,  my brother used be considered living out in the country side of El Paso and had no neighbors for a couple miles, today his property is right in the city, that’s how much it’s grown I guess, geeze. We’ll run over to your house and get the onions and taters, I wanna weigh myself anyway.  Things around here are good, kinda quiet really not much activity.

Well I hope everyone has a good day, today history will be made, that’s really exciting,  I love to watch history going on.  Hopefully the new leaders of our country will be able to turn things around and make it better.

Bless Y’all

Andy

Morning Missouri,

Oh how exciting it will be to hear Janet is a proud nanny!  I'm praying all is well with Megan and the baby.

Also remembering Hollie as she has her tonsils out today... and that Tammy~Ammys mom and grandma are doing better.

Praying Sheila's dad is doing ok... and Karen's moms blood pressure is better.

Also praying for {{{Deb's}}} Gail.  I know she said he has been having to use the nitro pills more frequently and that he has appts coming up.  Praying the very best can be done for him and he will see some improvement in his health.

Hope Jeanine is doing well.

Not just a whole lot going on around here... I like Peggy have been doing house work... it's time to dust when you have to scoot it aside to set something on the table! ~tee hee

Maybe I will work on cracking more nuts... I'm out... I got this new pecan cracker and it's WONDERFUL!!! does the job so very quickly and makes them easy to pick out.... but the black walnuts are ANOTHER story... I worked nearly 3 hours and just got a good size cup full....oh dear... I guess it will teach me PATIENCE ~ha

Well I can't even stir up much trouble today as Paul will have to sleep.  I could go out and tease the horses with their treat... but I just get so much satisfaction when they see me and start chewing before I even get to them!  It's funny and I CAN RELATE!!!

Maybe you all can find some mischief to get into and then write and tell me about it? My options out here by myself are limited!!! ~tee hee

Mimi ~ I'm glad you are having a good time and know you will enjoy the time with your daughter.  I too have seen the Rio Grand and it was to say the least NOT what I had seen in the westerns and certainly not GRAND! ~ha

A good day to all.

Dear Aunt Jan and OH Peeps-

I just wanted to hop in here real quick and update you guys about Megan.

We do not have a baby yet, although she was having contractions the whole time we were at the hospital. She had severe dehydration, however. Her b.p. was high and so was her heart rate, at rest was 110.  The scariest thing though and why her dr asked her to go in-was that when Megan was driving-she got real dizzy and then actually started to black out. The first time, she pulled over and then it went away......BUT...the 2nd time-when she came to-or however you want to describe it-she was in the lane of the incoming traffic and heading towards a vehicle head on!!! OMG! After that one, she was so upset that she pulled over and she was crying and shaking!

She isnt allowed to drive for a bit, until they watch her carefully to make sure that it was JUST from her b.p. and stress related etc.  Between my mom and I, we will be taking turns, staying with Megan while Aaron is at work-well, I mean, Megan staying with us.....poor kid. She could not catch her breath yesterday at all either!  They are going to be watching her for the pre-eclampsia (sp?)

If you would keep her and Mackenzie in your prayers-I would really appreciate it!!!!

My testing was HELL!  They did one test where they were turning my feet inward-while I was laying flat on my back and so my knees were wrenching and my hips-and so I could NOT move them-they strapped them down! By the time I got done with my 3 tests-I was literally in tears. I couldnt believe it! The only thing that didnt hurt was the ct scan! I had barely gotten the Suburban squared away when I had to get Stephanie picked up from her dads place-so that she could watch Jon while I was having my tests done. I then went to the grocery store and steph ran in and got a few things for me and I dropped her back off at her dads and headed home myself!  Got home and had started dinner. Megan and Aaron were suppose to come over for dinner and to watch a movie when she called and told me about her dizzy and black out spells.....so that was it. I left to go meet my mom and we went to the hospital.

So far today she is still feeling puney. I am getting ready to go to Mikes friends house and pick up a couple of phones they have for sale. Cell phones. When I walked out of the hospital last night, my phone hit the concrete and busted in pcs.  So, Mikes friend has 4 phones and 2 are brand new......that will be a pleasant change - AND, will be nice to get it for a decent price. They are going to let us use them and see HOW we like them first!  Anyway, so I am getting ready to go do that right now.

IT IS SNOWING HERE and COLD, COLD, COLD!!!! ARGH!

Oh, and the kids didnt get that house. The gentleman rented it to the first people that called him first. I told the kids that it wasnt meant to be and to pray about it. Now they want to come and stay with us until April.  Please pray that something else can be worked out...I appreciate all the prayers.

Still praying for Sheilas dad, for Karens mom, for Tammys future DILs surgery today and for Tammys surgery tomorrow and those recovering from surgery-Misty and ??

Im sorry I dont have time to post to you individually-but I have to get going.  As always, your in my thoughts and prayers!!!!   Love, Janet

I'm so envious I hardly stand it!  I want to be warm and STAY that way for a while!!  Oh well, I live here and it will be warmer tomorrow.

You guessed it, I've lived in A LOT of places but never for long.  5 years max and it sure isn't because I cleaned them!  I've only really learned how to care for my home in the last 10 years or so.  And it's easier now that we are empty nesters.  But I do miss the "kid" messes.

Had my weekly appt w/Shelia today....interesting.  Learned some things about myself that I didn't really want to know.  But I have to address these issues in order to get healthy.  I will say that it impacted my eating....hmmm.  I'll share more in my Eatin' Good thread.

Well, I need to get dinner started for the man and me, too, since they will be different.  And my mom is coming by tomorrow so I may not get to stop in until late.  But I sure do think about each of you.  Janet, your daughter bout scared me to death! And Shelia, good to see you even tho things are touchy with your dad.  Keep us posted.

Love you all.
Peggy
