Daily Bible Reading - Monday Jan. 19
***Jan*** Isn’t it wonderful how God shows us how to get where He wants us to go. As you said, if God gave us a vision of a house we are going to have, He gives us the instructions on how to build it. I just love how the Lord works in our lives, in every situation He will lead, guide and direct us if we only let him, wow!
***Bec*** It really seems lately in reading the Word that God is giving quite a bit to think about. I like how we can read Genesis then go over to Matthew and the Psalms and Proverbs and God just speaks to us on several subjects, it seems for me that He always seems to pop a certain portion out at me each morning. I’m like you, at times I have to go back and read over some of the scriptures, I think God likes to add a little something to our knowledge that we might of missed, I get something different out reading the same scripture a lot of times.
Well I hope everyone has a great Monday. This week is an exciting week for our country. Be sure to keep our leadership in your prayers as we go through this transition of change. No matter who you might of voted for, our President needs our prayers, he has a lot of responsibility coming down on his shoulders this week, no matter who is in that office I always believe and know that God is in control. Have a blessed week y’all.

. . .because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. . .Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. . .
It is good for us to remember, as we sit feeling sorry for ourselves because we may not indulge in tasty pleasures, that our sacrifice is not really so great when we compare it to the many sacrifices Christ made. What we are doing is indeed a sacrifice, but for self rather than for others. Christ sacrificed for us in order that we might enjoy life to the fullest. Let us learn from the sacrifice of Christ and remember that He has given us the power to overcome any temptation that might present itself.
Today's thought: Christ has conquered temptation and will be with me!
Poor Poor Joseph, he went thru the wringer didnt he? But once again what do you think GOD was trying to teach us with these stories? KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
Ive been down and out before when something wasnt going just right and feeling so bad for myself and thinking poor me when God will show me something like the verses of Genesis that points out how bad things could be.
Joseph didnt just stay a week or two with Potiphar and then in the jail. He was there a long time...then when he was out and in a postition of such high authority, he still didnt get to go home and see his father....this story is so good and gives us so much to think about. I love how God can instill into us the ideals of HIS perfection, with a simple story of doom. But also teaching us that we are to make the most of any bad situation...
Okay, Im done! lol!
Love to you all as we study together ...
GOD is my ROCK! SUGAR
