Anybody swim?

I finally went to our indoor aquatic center last night and swam some laps. I hadn't swam in about 10 years, since I was a lifeguard at the pool where I grew up my senior year. It felt awesome! Great exercise and an excellent destresser. I really want to go every day I can. I can get a monthly pass for $35 or I can buy 20 tokens for $60. The tokens don't expire, but is more money up front. But if I go almost every day, the monthly pass is the smarter move. Okay, I'm rambling now.

Does anyone else use swimming as their main form of exercise? I've realized that I need a new suit because mine is way too low cut for lap swimming. It's more of a sitting at the side of the pool kinda suit. I also need to get goggles because I made my neck sore keeping my head out of the water, plus I wear contacts.

It must've been a good workout because today the scale was down 2 more pounds! I really want to keep this up. I'm just waiting until I get paid from my internship so I can buy a pass.

Yep! Isnt it the greatest? I do water aerobics, water yoga and resistence walking in the water....then on occasion I just swim too! I love it and that is all Ive done since my surgery. Ive toned everything pretty good with that form of exercise.

Where do you have to go to get to a pool? Have fun with it! Do they have classes too?

I go a couple miles across town. We have an indoor aquatic center here in Clinton. Yay!
They do offer water aerobics, but not at a time that I can attend. I'm hoping once I'm done with school and working and the kids are in daycare that I can take some classes. I think they'd be fun.

I'm really hoping it will help tone my legs and arms. They're really getting floppy.

Yes, the skin gets might loose and I beleive this is one exercise that really does help to tighten stuff up. Mine is alot better than some peoples...but I have done this for 1year prior to surgery and ever since and anywhere from 3 days a week to 6. In the beginning I even did 7 days for a few months.

But it is one exercise that I love to do so it is awesome that I have a facility close enough to make it possible. Im glad you found one too! Good luck!
