Eatin' Good Tuesday....Oops
Oops is my middle name these days, TOTALLY forgot to post last night on top of all the poor choices I have been making. I think I just need to go to bed for a week and do nada....like that will ever happen...
Outta bed....coffee, in a rush to get to an appt, no protein
Snack...popcorn, and not the good for you kind
Late lunch (like 2:30 late)....leftover carnitas
Snacks upon snacks and not anything I will post here (if I knew there was absolutely no way this could happen I would swear I'm eating like I'm pregnant! But I can't even use THAT as an excuse!)
Don't think I will even eat tonight....Oscar is not happy and I'm not happy and I need to take back control....so I will be drinking water. And if my urges don't calm down, I will be putting myself on liquids until I AM the one in control!

Dinner-Wendys chili ate about a 1/4 and 6 of gails french fries ughhhhhhhh
Snack-banana,clemintine
supper-tablespoon instant taters and couple bites of chicken
Went to walmart bought slimfast will be doing that starting tomorrow.I emailed my nut she said it was ok ,long as it is carb control which only has 4 carbs abd 1 gram of sugar.
So slimfast here i come LOL.

Seems like your meds are doing ok...you're eating better. I hope the Slimfast works for you...I never could get it to work for me. Let us know how you do....but you will be kinda boring on this post now...lol. I remember how boring Cor was when she was doing her liquids pre-surgery.

Ok so today was not a good day for food for me....actually come to think of it....food???? what is that!!! I know, I know....
All I have had today is about 2-3 oz of cheese and some water....I know thats not good....
So I will be following suit tomorrow with you and Deb....back to the basics....water, protein, water, protein....oh and Vit's....So yeah I guess you can say IM BORING!!! lol
I havent felt good today to start out with....then had to work....1 mth appt with Dr. H....work again....went to bingo....and WON AGAIN!!!!
Anyway tomorrow is a new day for my new body....just starting over a month later....

Oh Drats that Turkey Neck is happening to me as well! It's just starting and I know it going to get worse! I can add them to my "turkey drumsticks" when Paul graduates me!!! ~tee hee
Well the 5 meals a day is not all that bad so far... I'm not hungry that's for sure... I am still using the two shakes a day but I have cut them down to the 24 grams instead of the 30 I had been doing since I'm still early out....hopefully when I get the weight off I will be able to go to just one a day like the good doc wants! ~ha
This was my first day
Protein shake 30 grams (cut back the second day to 24 as I had to many grams believe it or not ~ha)
Next: 1 egg and 2 strips of bacon for 11 grams
Next: 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and meat roll-up for 23 grams
Next: shake 30 grams
Next: taco meat, beans, cheese 18 grams (Paul ate the rest ~ha)
That was the first day.... 112 grams protein for the day!
The next day I did not do as well as I had a head ache... so did the two protein shakes and tried the best I could on the rest...
I had to exercise inside yesterday too and I like it better outside! I had not been on my gazelle since surgery so I did not know how well I would do or if I could keep it up for an hour and twenty minutes but I did just fine with that and got in my 20 to 30 minutes of weights too... boy the gazelle uses different muscles and if I make it I can work different ones than I get walking... I should do it a couple of times a week even though I could go out side but outside is so much better for my "mental" health! ~ha and we all know THAT is important for Paul's sake! ~tee hee
I was telling Mimi about when I looked at what I liked and what had the highest protein values it was basically meat, eggs and cheese and she said it sounded like the Atkins Diet all over again and after she said that I remember the Doc saying something about that but I can't remember what he said now... I will have to ask him again the next meeting...
Cottage cheese has 13 grams per half cup... that's quite a bit... and my chicken cordon bleu has that for half a serving...
Since I have to do this for the rest of my life I am going to get busy and search out some recipes and see what I can come up with...just takes so much time to do. I can see if you are going to get that much protein in and stay in the 1000 calorie a day range you are going to have to make every bite count.
I do remember the doc saying as we were discussing details that "you have to live" I took it to mean we are not going to be perfect but we have to make the right choices most of the time. When I see someone say they ate a bit of carbs and they say that's bad... I don't see it that way if you are making conscience choices. But then every one is different and knows there own limitations.
Peggy Poo ~ I am praying you get right to where you need to be! whatever and wherever that is! You are a strong lady and have come so far... and have dealt with so much! I have a banner that hangs over my vanity that says every day is a fresh beginning I put it there so it reminds me every morning that I have a new chance to make that day successful! not just in eating but in "life".

You do not possibly understand how much I have missed you! I know you were busy w/enjoying the time w/your family and I wouldn't have asked you to do anything different...but I sure did miss you.
Carnitas is Mexican for pork tips. And the restaurant I go to serves them w/grilled onions and the pork is so tender and juicy. I like them because I can't do dry...none of us can. But I still have to be careful, they can still get stuck if I don't chew well.
Thanks for the posting on the eating....it gives me something to work on. I am still amazed how easy it is for me to slip back into the "old" ways. yuck.
