Like some of you, I am getting just as much out of the devotionals as I am reading the daily word.  It really seems God is setting us all up for victory.  Reading His word daily where it started out teaching us discipline and has taken us through faithfulness, perfection all the way through to wisdom and so forth, it has all built us up and preparing us for victory in our lives.  I sit here this morning thinking what do all of these do for us in our daily lives and it hit me while I was reading one of the daily devotions that God is setting us up to lead victorious lives.  You know I think it would please God to no end if we all could live in victory 24/7.  That’s what He wants for us anyway, sometimes we feel that’s harder to obtain then it really is but I am finding it easier for me to jump into victory every day as I read and study His word.  It’s just so amazing how each day read His word and He will speak to us then when we sit down and reflect on the past week of what we have read there is always more, we put everything we’ve read for the week together and get another message.  How wonderful is that? How wonderful is our Lord that He knows exactly what we need when we need it.  Like a lot of you I have struggled with things in my life for many years, not just my weight but things that I seem to not be able to let go.  I seem to give it over to God and then a few days later I find myself picking that problem back up and carrying it on my shoulders.  Why is it when we give something over to God we sometimes end up picking it back up?  That’s been such a struggle of mine in the past.  God doesn’t want us to pick it back up, He wants us to let Him have it and let Him take control. He wants us to have suck victory in our lives on a daily basis.  Like the devotional said yesterday, He wants us to constantly prepare for our victory party, how awesome!!

In reading today’s word the passages in Matthew stuck out at me.  It first starts out talking about following Jesus at any cost.  Then in Matthew 8:23-27 the word goes on about how Jesus and His disciples were out on the lake, Jesus was sleeping and a fierce storm came up and frightened the disciples that they were really afraid and they were yelling at Jesus saying “Lord save us we are going down" and what did He tell them? “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!"  I can just see Jesus shaking his head at them as he calmed the storms and probably went back to sleep as if it was nothing for Him to do that.  If we could only just give our storms over to Him like that He will calm them just as He did the lake.  That really hit me this morning.  He wants us all to live in such victory and it’s out there for us we just have to grab it.

***Vesta*** I know how it is for the word to be hitting you between the eyes, lately it’s been doing that with me,  it has been doing that with me also.  I know it’s really hard sometimes to turn things over to Him but in the end if we can just let go there is victory right around the corner.  You are definitely in my prayers Vesta.

***Bec*** Isn’t wonderful how if we can just follow through with what the He has for us we can live in one big party all the time hehehe, I love it!! It’s awesome how much He truly loves us and wants us to be in victory all the time, He is so awesome, just so awesome!!

***Jan*** Don’t you dare worry about not posting in here,  you just keep on reading and having a great time away,  you both deserve it.  You both are always in our prayers and your missed but we know God is with you where ever you go,  He is just wonderful like that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us .  If anyone hasnt read Jan's Whats Happening post please go read it, she shared how being on the mountain top is wonderful but  its in the valley that we grow.  Please go read it, you will be so blessed.  Thank you so much Jan.

Well I’m gonna stop rattling on and get this posted.  I pray you all have a blessed Sunday.

Bless ya’s!!

Daily Devotional for Dieters

Ephesians 2:10
"For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]"

You are destined for blessing! Are you living the good life that God has prearranged for you? Everything you need to live as an overcomer is inside of you by the power of the Holy Spirit. As a believer, there are seeds of success on the inside of you. There are blessings in store for you. If you´ll get into agreement with God in your thoughts, attitudes, words and actions, then you will be positioned to receive all of His spiritual blessings.

Choose to start your day by declaring what God says about you. Declare, "I am blessed. I am prosperous. I am healthy and strong. I have favor. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath." Friend, when you start speaking like that, all of heaven takes notice. Your faith activates His plan for your life. Angels are dispatched on your behalf. Blessings are set in motion. Before you know it, you are living the good life He promised and moving forward into the destiny of blessing He has in store for you!

Today's thought: You ARE destined for the blessings of God!
