Thought I’d get this posted while I’m up in case anyone wants to read early this morning.  I’ll post comments after while, it was a great reading for sure.  I’m not feeling that well so I’m gonna lay back down, it’s my own fault tho,  my sugar count had dropped so I drank some orange juice, 100% natural, been having it in my protein shakes just fine,  I drank a glass to get my sugar to go up and it made me so sick it was unreal last night, still kinda out of it from that, guess I wont be doing that again.  You all have a blessed morning, like I said I do have some comments I’ll post after while, sorry about that.

Daily Devotional for Dieters

John 6:58
This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Face it: Dieting wouldn't be so hard if food didn't taste so good! Like anything good, we want to get as much of it as we can. It's easy to place a high value on the food we eat. But, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. God has given us many freedoms, but one we should not abuse is the freedom to consume as much food as we want. No one can limit what we eat except ourselves. We need to realize that our daily bread supplies what we need, not what we want. Excessive eating is selfishness, and selfishness is sin. When we feel the urge to overeat, let us turn to God and nourish ourselves on the true bread that comes from Him-His Word.

Today's thought: God's bread of life is nonfattening!

Andy the doctor told my DH not to drink juice when his sugar drops because it lifts it for a short time and then it drops even lower than before. She told him to eat a granola bar instead. It stabilizes blood sugar better.

My Goodness the Proverbs opened my eyes this morning!  I dont know about any of the rest of you but I do beleive we are getting so close to the end times and it warns us to be prepared to watch closely for those who would decieve us and trick us into thinking they are preaching GOD's word when really they are working for evil...so these verses are so good for us to take in and heed...

"He holds victory in store for the upright"    "He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless" "For he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones"

"discretion will protect you and understanding will guard you"

Could it be any clearer that if we hide GOD's word and wisdom in our hearts and souls....we will prevail over the evil around us???

And Matthew 6:7-8 is one of my favorites....A.S.K. all you have to do is Ask, seek and knock....Isnt it grand that our Heavenly Father is ready to give, let us find and open the door???? Amen and amen!

Well, Ill quit so someone else can get a word in! Love and God's best to you all...

I did it...I went and told Shelia I was doing this with you all.  That's my accountability to 3 sets of people.  I've now committed to do this and told you all, my friend, and my counselor.  Thank you for holding me to this.

I love how the Word speaks to all of us.  Same words yet God meets us where we are.  Today I learned so much about asking, and continued asking and God's faithfulness.  Abraham was so gutsy to ask the Lord to spare Sodom so many times....first for 50 then all the way to 10.  (Which there weren't even 10!)  And then Jesus reminds us of God's faithfulness when he shows us that even we know how to treat our children, imperfect as we are.  How much more does a perfect God love His children?  Wow.  We are to ask, seek & knock.  And God is faithful.  According to David, God is so faithful that even children's praises silence His enemies and that creation's majesty is for us to see and give praise.  (I love sunsets, and I think of how it's painted for us every night!)  And I agree with Sugar, Proverbs is such a warning to pay attention!

Another good study today....hope you feel better, Andy.

What I think is amazing is the fact that we are not reading fairy tales. We are reading the history AND the future of our existince! Some times as I read I become full of wonder, that I am reading THE word of the Lord. I just wonder what it would have been like to live in the times of Abraham.
