WLS group around KC? Any DSer's?
Hey I am in Sedalia, I went to Omaha to have my DS done, 3 yrs ago. I don't have any DS'ers around here at all. I know there is a lady and her husband in Blue Springs that went to Chicago and had the DS a few months back not sure they are going to any meetings or not. I have been using the MO board and have lots of VSG and RNY friends, I am meeting up with them tomorrow here in Sedalia. There is a support group at the Hospital for Dr. Hornbostel I go too. He does a really good job at explaining all the surgeries. I know that Dr. Anthone in Omaha has support meetings the 3rd Thursday of every month if that helps. I am meeting with a bunch from down south that are coming tomorrow and we are going to go out to eat after. Would be glad to have you if you feel like the drive. Good luck with everything and I know you will like the DS, it is a very good surgery.

) I was hoping there was a group within an hour of me. Sedelia is at least 2 or more isn't it? I'm in Independence. 
Just depends on where you are, if you come down 50 we are exactly 1 hour from Lee Summitt. They have the meetings here every first Sunday at 3 for the pre-ops and 5 for post-op. There is a support group that was meeting close to you but I dought that there is any DS'ers in it. They may have a few VSG'ers in it though which as close as the DS as you can get around here. I go to Omaha in Feb, but it just depends on the weather whether I stay around for meetings there or not. I do usually go there in July for the pot luck, it's great. I would be glad for the company. I have been doing that for about 3 yrs now. Great time and then you can stay and hear the speakers. Just a thought. I gotta run they are getting close and I still have to get dressed.
