Orange Julius Protein Smoothie...Happy New Year!
In the magic bullet OR blender
a splash of orange juice ( splash like half a cup)
a splash of skim milk ( a little less than the oj)
1 scoop unflavored protein powder( I think vanilla might work I haven't tried that)
1/4 t. vanilla ( This is why I think vanilla protein powder would work)
little splenda and ice
Blend
When I make this its 30 grams of protein
Thanks Momma I LOVE it!
any way you can do it is great...i love my strawberry smoothies.
if you have 2 of these a day you will have 60 grams of your protein and will make a big difference....
sometimes i end up making 3 smoothies on a day when i havent been in the frame of mind to eat or been away from the house and havent eaten....but i will make my 3rd one late and have 90 grams for the day...

I just got 2 containers of bsn Ciunnamon bun and banana cream of of Laura last night she wont drink them .The cinnamon bun actually taste ok in milke ,The banana sets up like pudding but is pretty good so thought maybe i could use it in protein balls. And i used the instant packets on the balls but will make the others out of instant rolled oats ones than cook in a min.Hope it works better.

Hi Lou,
You gave me a great idea!
It's a bit different but it is going to help me use up a product that I thought was terrible...
Right after surgery I had gotten several of the Nectars and I liked two of the three... but the "Fuzzy Navel" I DID NOT like! ..but knew I would just suck it up and drink it as it's so expensive I was not going to waste it.... but it has been setting there... I know I was waiting till I HAD to drink it! ~ha
Well when you posted this recipe it made me think.... what if I mixed a third scoop of the Fuzzy Navel with one scoop of vanilla? I did it just now and it's Great! It kinda taste like an Orange Julius! At least I can "tolerate" it much better now! Tell your momma thanks! ...that her recipe did more than what she thought it would do!
I won't dread the rest of that tub near as badly now!
Thanks for posting so many of your recipes ... I have gotten alot of good ideas from them.
