Support Grp Meeting Sedalia Jan. 4
I was just wondering if anyone from the Waynesville area was going to the Support group meeting on January 4th in Sedalia? I know I have not been able to participate since my surgery in October, but I would like to go to this one and I am actually available. Unfortunately I am not so sure about my car making the trip. Just curious if anyone was heading that way from this area and would let me hitch a ride?
Susie,
That would be great! As i said before, I have been anxious to get to meet you and others, but with the holidays, it has been an absolute mad house around here. I am hoping to be able to get more involved now that the holidays are winding down.
I think getting together with others will help me out tremendously. I have been on a 4 week plateau and I am getting so frustrated. I did start going to CURVES week before last so I am hoping that will help me to get back to the "losing" side of things. I have finally reached my 8 week mark so my intake is not so limited - however I still feel frustrated as to what I should be eating everyday and it seems to be the same old things and honestly I am getting bored with it. I am quickly realizing just how much of my meals (before surgery) contained Beef and other items that are now off limits!
The most frustrating part of it is seeing my husband and son (16) try to be supportive of me, but I think they are getting tired of it too. We used to go out to eat once a week as a family, but now we struggle (partly because we are limited on choices around here!!) mostly because there are very few restaraunts that have foods I can eat! (at least as far as I know)
Sorry, did not mean to babble on, but this is why I am so anxious to get with others who are going through (or have gone through) the same things as me. I do read the posts a lot, but I think personal interaction might be beneficial!
I hope DH is doing OK. and I do look forward to meeting you.
Take Care
