Oh my goodness did we evcr have fun tonight....I wish all of you could have been there we laughed and hugged and kissed and cried and hugged some more...Sugar and Janet did such a good job with the party I don’t know how many times people told me that it was a great party...i would tell them well I would love to take credit for this but Sugar and Janet did all of this...so please tell them how much fun you all had ...

Wow what a day we had. Started off freezing our backsides off at 4:30am going to Columbia lol. My goodness it was so cold yesterday morning, cold this morning too, I can hear the wind howling out there. Our time in Columbia was really productive, well for Susan anyway, I saw Dr. Suttemoller and he gave me a couple options as to what I can do, the stoma on my pouch is dialated or bigger then it should be but my pouch isnt stretched, its pretty much the size it should be so Im not a canidate to get a revision or anything but there is a new procedure the stomaphyX which would shrink the stoma down to where it should be but its not paid for by any insurances yet cuz its so new and there's another procedure where they go in and shoot steroids or something into the stoma to cause scar tissue and maybe close hole up some but he said they havnt had any real success with that so the only other option is to take a prescription diet pill, the one he says he has seen people have success on sometimes causes the heart to beat funny, ai yi yi, I really dont wanna do pills so guess Im just gonna have to learn to live with hunger and find other ways to make it not be so bad. I did lose 16 lbs in the month since I was there last, w00t w00t!! So hopefully with some good excersise and doing what im spose too I can finish getting the rest of this weight off, it'll be much easier now that Susan is gonna have surgery soon.
Speaking of Susan, she'll prolly smack me for telling, she had a great day with the Surgeon, Dr Ferring told her she didnt need any special tests like stress test or anything, just the normal pre-op stuff, so just as soon as she gets her Pysch. Eval and gets that faxed over to MoBar they will submit it and she'll get her a surgery date soon after. She see's a psyc. on Jan 8. I keep telling her its not fair cuz she's just breezing through and gonna get a date when most of us had to wait and wait and search and search and wait more and more lolol Im excited for her tho, its gonna be really good for her to get the surgery and get healthy again.
Now for the COF Christmas party, wowzers, what a great party. Im not one that likes going to parties much but this party was the best, had such a great time laughing and hugging and all, was great to see everyone that was able to get out and be there and had some really good food.
Jan your soup was really good, I gotta get the recipe for that from ya, that would be so good on a cold day. I dunno what time you usually go over and work out, we'll be over there sometime today, I gotta get back to excersing, this stuff is just way to cold to walk in, holler at me when Joe gets ready to put the treadmill over in the trailer, i'll come help him.
I cant remember who made what but I sure hope ya'll post some recipes cuz it was all sure good.
Well Im gonna get off here and get a couple things done, we're spose to have some people coming over to look about replaceing some windows on the house, if it dont get bad weather this morning like they said its gonna, I sure hope not, Im so ready for springggggggggggggggggggg lol. Good morning to all is everyone staying warm it sure is cold outside I talked to some family back in pa on Sunday and they got the cold air plus 5 inches of snow I told them they could keep it lol. Some friend’s of our’s from Tulsa ok said they were in their house for 3 day’s because the ice was so bad. Jan we will be over sometime today to work out after these people leave who are coming to look at the house if they make it they told me they would not come if the weather turned bad and they would call if they could not make it so far no call’s.
Janet and sugar thank you both so much for putting such a great party together Andy and I really had a good time it was to see all the people that were there.
I am so excited about the way the doctor’s app went for me I can hardly wait for a surgery date everything is just falling into place for me Andy and I are going to work out together and help each other and when the weather does change we can go walking with Jan again and Jan your soup was good we would like the recipe and all the other’s to the great food to last night .
Have a good day all stay warm I am going to make a crock pot of homemade veg beef soup it will be good to eat on a cold day I will let everyone know about my surgery as I know more pretty soon I will be on the loser’s bench also god bless you all. Susan
I sure wished I could have been at the party last night. It sounds like you really had a great time. I am enjoying time with my son. I do not get to see him enough.My older son is planning to be here for dinner all this week. He lives close by but I do not see much of him eighter.So far the two brothers have not had a fight,they usually do.They still have a few days left(HAHA).
I am struggling getting in the water. The only effect so far is I wake up at night for a trip to the bathroom. I sure hope everyone is right and I will see a big drop on the scale soon.Right now the only good thing is that I am not hungry. I am walking a little on my treadmill but not as much as I should. Its better than nothing. The arthritis is killing me with the cold weather. It keeps me awake at night and generally makes me grouchy. DH still is not feeling great and worried about the test on the 30th. I wish we didn't have to wait so long for the test.

Good morning Missouri.....
I am at work this morning and there is absolutely nothing to do today....It is going to be a long day....I have to work at this job and then go to my second job...Of course, I am living for 1015 pm tonight because then I don't have to be to work again until Monday morning....yes, five days off and trust me it is well deserved... last week alone I work 60 hours between both jobs...felt like I was meeting myself coming and going....
It was very nice to meet Tammy-ammy last Thursday...and can I say Tammy you look wonderful....Keep up the great work....Hope you enjoy every moment you have with Bubba this holiday season....
Jan, I have promised to come to a meeting and I have not been able to because of one reason or another but with the new year I will definitely try and get there...I will make it a date with my mom and we will try and get there...
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.....And remember Jesus is the reason for the season and we all need to be thankful that He has given us new life with our surgeries....and to those of you on the waiting bench, you will be blessed also by His loving grace....Just always remember that if "He brought you to it, He will get you through it" that is always the scripture that I have lived by since beginning my journey with WLS.....

Dear Aunt Jan & OH Peeps,
Good Morning everyone! I hope that you are all doing well and are ready for the holidays that are now less than 2 days away!!
Mike and I are feeling blessed this year, as we are going to have ALL 4 of our children here Christmas Eve AND....the EXCITING part of that is that Stephanie, Megan and Aaron are ALL spending the night Christmas Eve and so they will be here for "santa" Christmas morning! That is simply put-my FAVORITE day of the whole year-seeing the kids excitement Christmas morning. Jon still believes in Santa, and since he isnt at public school, no one has told him any different. Its funny, I know there is no Santa, but the "spirit" of this time of year and how we get to hear lots of good stories of people helping people is so obvious and apparant this time of the year! I LOVE the SPIRIT of this time of the year and the TRUE REASON for the season-its overwhelming this time of year. Sure wish that everyone would be like that all year long.....but then, on the other hand-there have been some pretty rude people out there, no "excuse me" when they bump into you with their cart, cut you off driving, you name it-those people, lets just say, wouldnt live very long IF they were that stressed out and hateful all year long, every year....No ones heart could take that abuse every day....
So Stephanie works late tomorrow night. They are having ALL staff members at work from 3-11. She works at IHOP and said that the closer it gets to Christmas, the busier they become. So, Mike will pick her up tomorrow night at work, then when she is off the clock, he is going to sit and have coffee with her. The boys will be in bed by then, and hopefully asleep-LOL and I can get started on the goodies. We figure it will probably be the last Christmas Eve/Christmas morning that we will have all our kids here because next year, Megan and Aaron will have Mackenzie and more than likely, will be home for their own family Christmas morning, although they will be MORE than welcome to still come this way and do the same thing here! I would certainly welcome that! Im really looking forward to the next couple of days with the kids!!!!
Yesterdays party was a BLAST! That IS the BEST Christmas party I have ever personally been to! Sugar is the best decorator/organizer and I wish I could take the credit for that, but she did all that....I just shopped and wrapped part of the gifts and Megan wrapped what I didnt get done....so about 2/3rds-LOL while I was getting everything else together! How awesome to see all my favorite people there, and some from so far away....WOW! It made it ALL worth it, to see everyone smiling and laughing and hugging. There was NO shortage of any of those things, thats for sure! I was even more blessed, that my daughters got to join me! At the last minute, Aaron asked if he could come too, and I thought it would be good for him to meet everyone and see how wonderful people are....or at least the people who attend the COF, arent what he is used to with his family and their friends. He was overwhelmed with everyones hospitality and how much fun we all had! Stephanie and Megan were also very overwhelmed with the feeling of acceptance and love! Stephanie said-Mom, NOW I understand WHY all those people are so important to you and WHY you consider so many your family! I CANNOT say enough about the party. It was the BEST and I wi**** could have been longer! The ONLY thing I would have changed, was the fact that I FORGOT to give Jan and Bec their bags of goodies out of the trunk! How sad is that? I even opened the trunk to put the goodies in there, and saw all the bags! ARGH....It was so cold and all the kids were handing me stuff and trying to get all settled so they could get in the car, and I plum forgot....Darn it!
Today, Jon and I are going to the grocery store and then home. I am going to spend a great deal of today trying to get organized, making a menu and all of that, and then wrapping gifts. Stephanie may come spend the night tonite, will find out later on this morning. If so, I will pick her up when I go to the grocery store. She has today off, so I extended the offer to her. That would be fun!
The kids had asked me if they could do a little more shopping after the party. I told them that was fine. We dont have a Kmart here, and there were a couple of things there that Aaron wanted to pick up for Megan. He had talked to me about keeping her busy while he went and got her goodies and then he went and hid them in the car while we were browsing. We got home about 1 am....and I was exhausted, but I was so spun that I couldnt sleep! I finally fell asleep at 3 am. Actually-I was still texting with Megan and Renee until about 2:45 am!! Megans ankles were really swollen from all the riding in the car, so she was getting off her feet, and elevating them. Renee said she couldnt sleep either. LOL....
Jonathan lost his first tooth on the 22nd! The bottom right one! He was so excited.... Mike and I were kinda bummed that night, because that meant our baby isnt such a little guy anymore, he is growing up so much faster than we want him to! Anyway, he looks so cute now when he talks!! LOL
Before I do some responses, please remember to say some prayers for Jeanine! Man, I so wish she was all better!! I missed her ecspically last night, as I was her secret pal and I had her Christmas presents and then a bag of clothes! Im gonna go ahead and send the presents to her, but will bring the clothes to the next meeting. Heck, by then, they may not fit her-LOL...will check first. I hope that her insurance will help with those pipes bursting and that mess as well. Darn it! I wish I lived closer to her, so I could go help her.
**Jan (and Joe)-THANKS for the pointsetta! Its beautiful!! Thanks for ALL the hugs and the fun. I love you guys so much, and I felt so wonderful AND so BLESSED to be in your company! As soon as I get the pictures downloaded off of Megans camera, I will send them out to you and some others who want them! I am going to have a lot of them downloaded into my profile so everyone can see them! (my batteries in MY camera died after just 2 pics-and my camera is set for rechargable type batteries OR I would have put regular ones in there, but I didnt have my manual with me to see how to change it to the regular battery setting!)
I was so happy to hear that Joe is doing well, and that he doesnt have to go back to the doc for 6 mos! YAY! You both looked so good! Anyway, I love you both very much and I hope and pray that you have a wonderful Christmas with your family!!!!
P.S. That was a SNEAKY thing you guys did with the Dirty Santa gift. I laughed, because Mike and I did that last year at his parents house, he went and stole MY gift back!! LOL....
**Sugar-THANKS for the Elf outfit. How cute and I appreciate it so much!!! You TRULY have a gift and are so creative and talented! I think you could give some of those reality shows a run for their money, with all your decorating and planning etc. YOU ROCK!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! You MADE the party the SUCCESS that it was! All I did was shop and wrap presents! I wish I would have remembered to tell you that yes, I was going to wrap the bigger presents for the table centerpieces! LOL. Sorry!!!!

They sure looked adorable! I hope she didnt mind that Kalee got a pat and hug before she did-LOL...gotta do the Auntie Jan thing, and I just love rubbing Megans belly, so I had to rub hers too! It was good to see Tiff too. Altho I know she is shy, it was awesome to see her playing the wrapping game! LOL...she looked so cute in the hat...LOL..tell her she couldnt guilt auntie Janet into doing it for her-LOL...like the poen and the wedding-but there wasnt AS many people for her to do that in front of!

Well, this post is the longest I have done in forever...LOL...I just enjoyed everyone so much and I am SO BLESSED to have been in the company of so many wonderful, loving people! You guys are the best....and for those who couldnt make it-I am hoping and praying that we can all make it to the reunion next year and share a couple of days of fun...it IS worth it!

The kids had asked me if they could do a little more shopping after the party. I told them that was fine. We dont have a Kmart here, and there were a couple of things there that Aaron wanted to pick up for Megan. He had talked to me about keeping her busy while he went and got her goodies and then he went and hid them in the car while we were browsing. We got home about 1 am....and I was exhausted, but I was so spun that I couldnt sleep! I finally fell asleep at 3 am. Actually-I was still texting with Megan and Renee until about 2:45 am!! Megans ankles were really swollen from all the riding in the car, so she was getting off her feet, and elevating them. Renee said she couldnt sleep either. LOL....
Jonathan lost his first tooth on the 22nd! The bottom right one! He was so excited.... Mike and I were kinda bummed that night, because that meant our baby isnt such a little guy anymore, he is growing up so much faster than we want him to! Anyway, he looks so cute now when he talks!! LOL
Before I do some responses, please remember to say some prayers for Jeanine! Man, I so wish she was all better!! I missed her ecspically last night, as I was her secret pal and I had her Christmas presents and then a bag of clothes! Im gonna go ahead and send the presents to her, but will bring the clothes to the next meeting. Heck, by then, they may not fit her-LOL...will check first. I hope that her insurance will help with those pipes bursting and that mess as well. Darn it! I wish I lived closer to her, so I could go help her.
**Jan (and Joe)-THANKS for the pointsetta! Its beautiful!! Thanks for ALL the hugs and the fun. I love you guys so much, and I felt so wonderful AND so BLESSED to be in your company! As soon as I get the pictures downloaded off of Megans camera, I will send them out to you and some others who want them! I am going to have a lot of them downloaded into my profile so everyone can see them! (my batteries in MY camera died after just 2 pics-and my camera is set for rechargable type batteries OR I would have put regular ones in there, but I didnt have my manual with me to see how to change it to the regular battery setting!)
I was so happy to hear that Joe is doing well, and that he doesnt have to go back to the doc for 6 mos! YAY! You both looked so good! Anyway, I love you both very much and I hope and pray that you have a wonderful Christmas with your family!!!!
P.S. That was a SNEAKY thing you guys did with the Dirty Santa gift. I laughed, because Mike and I did that last year at his parents house, he went and stole MY gift back!! LOL....

Well, this post is the longest I have done in forever...LOL...I just enjoyed everyone so much and I am SO BLESSED to have been in the company of so many wonderful, loving people! You guys are the best....and for those who couldnt make it-I am hoping and praying that we can all make it to the reunion next year and share a couple of days of fun...it IS worth it!

Barbara, if you girls would plan a day down we would certainly plan a party for you....
The party last night was great and I never heard so much hoopin and hollerin' as when we played "Well I Never" especially from sassy girl Bec's table. I heard Rick say that he had never went on a date with a guy and so sitting at a table of mostly women, hauled in the pennies for that one.
The dirty Santa game was fun as well as the "That's MY Present" game. I think everyone got their picture made in that silly hat.
OH by the way, would someone please send me a picture of me and Janet together in our elf costumes? I didnt even get one with my camera. I really would appreciated it if someone would send me one.
I went back to the church this morning and finished cleaning up the kitchen and putting everything away. Thanks to everyone who helped out with cleaning and picking things up.
Janet thanks for getting all the little gifts...you did a great job at that and I think everyone enjoyed there prizes. I still dont know how we were short on gifts last night tho....I brought an extra even so ??? Oh well, it all worked out I guess. Sorry Aaron that you didnt get as much a choice..except you could have stolen Rick's bath products....lol
I was so pleased to meet everyone and especially all the adult kids.

Good Afternoon Mama Jan & MO Peeps!
David and I got home around Noon today. Neither of us slept very good last night. I hardly ever sleep good the first night away from home. We were both awake at 6am and decided to get up and head back home before the weather got bad. The motel we stayed at in Republic was very nice and had a great breakfast. We got ready, ate and headed down the road. The weather was okay until we got to Belton. There were numerous serious accidents on the Highway 71. We prayed that for all those involved in those accidents.
We then went to Sam's Club to get a few last minute things. Picked up the van from the shop then headed home. Were two more accidents within a 1/2 a mile on I35 between the two Gardner exits. David thinks the last one was a fatality. The pickup flipped and went down thru a fence. Haven't heard if it was a fatality or not. It was right before you turn onto our exit. I'm so thankful that we all made it home safe and sound. Luke got back from NE last night and we got home today just before it got really bad.
David and the boys are watching Iron Man. I told them they had until 3pm then we are going to get the house ready for tomorrow and Christmas. My family will be here tomorrow night then all the kids and David's Dad and Step Mom will be here at noon on Christmas Day. So it's going to be busy! The house isn't too bad, but it's gotta be vacuumed, moped, dusted, etc., etc., etc.
Gotta tell you David and I really enjoyed ourselves last night at the COF Christmas Party. I am sooooooo SORRY we were late! I thought it started at 7:00pm and we left the hotel at 6:30 so I thought we'd be 20 minutes early. Well, turns out we were 40 minutes late. I HATE being late and I am sooooooooo sorry! Please forgive me!
I'm going to prepare a few things tonight. Will bake Jesus' Birthday Cake. That's a tradition we started the first year we were married. We light a candle (I use the number ones and go by how many years we've been married) and we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas Day. I truly believe that helps children understand and remember that we celebrate Christmas because that's the day we observe the birth of Jesus. Will prepare a few other things as well. The main thing is getting everything put back where it goes.
Mama Jan - I am so glad you are enjoying the Jack Terry pictures. I just hated them sitting around here in my office with no one enjoying them. I knew you liked Jack Terry and I really wanted to give them to you. Of course, David was okay with that. So where are you going to hang them? How about the copper angel picture? I was thinking of you when I bought it. I knew you Kitchen has copper in it then Sugar reminded me last night that you also collect angels! How perfect it is that you got it! You are truly a precious gift and I hope you know how much I treasure you! Love you Mama Jan!
Sugar - It was great to have lunch with you, Bec and her family yesterday. Thank you for bringing your Mountain Home Bomber's High School Year Book. It was nice to remember my Aunt Lou and seeing her picture. It truly is a small word that you went to High School with my FAVORITE Aunt! I miss her every day! I've asked the Lord that she meet me at the gates of Heaven when I enter in.
Also wanted to thank you for putting together the Christmas Party. You are truly talented!! You should think about doing that as some type of business. You would be very successful at it. I know the Seniors in your Church are blessed to have you to organize all their outings! I count it a blessing for you being my Secret Sis these past few months! Don't forget to take a picture of that canvas picture your kids gave you and email it to me. I really want to see it!
