WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

Well another day of ice , cold and being closed up in the house .., darn , well just bought the ticket to the Caribbean  got your money ready ? just give me your money and I will go ahead and find a place for us then I will send you a letter , lol ...of course that might take a while to find a place that is perfect for all of you.

 

Did you all see the news last night with the reporter throwing those shoes at the President? Didn’t know he would be able to move that fast. Was funny no matter what you think of him. Lol didn’t seem like the secret service was close enough to him to do any protecting...

 

Well im ready for sunshine...been dull and dreary long enough. ...went over and used the elliptical machine this morning ...that works really good. I think I over did it tho since im not use to it and my hip joints are now saying that they hurt. Lol oh well is a pretty good machine. Thanks a lot Susie...i appreciate it...maybve I can get some of this fat off of me...it has settings that make it as hard or as easy as you want to ...wow the hardest one sure is hard to do. I mean you are pushing for all you are worth to get it out and in. lol

Then I moved my ab lounger over there and used it and I feel like cooked spag now.

At least I got some exercise done. Got my blood moving.

 

COF Christmas party  is on the 22^nd at 6pm at the Calvary BaptistChurch  804 Highway 60 west...in Republic...if you are wanting to come please  get in touch with either me, Janet or Sugar...we need to know how many tables to get sit up...so heres hopeing to see you on Monday the 22^nd....lots of fun will be there....

     

SUSAN:::: thank you for the beautiful anniversary card. ....yep Friday the 19^th we will be married 21 years. Wow. How time flies when you are having fun...marriage is great when you are married to your best friend ...we do have a lot of fun and even tho we spend a lot of time together., we have a lot in our marriage, we have worked together a lot. So we had to like each other lol we work pretty good together, he says as long as I let her think she is the boss then it goes well lol You noticed he said I think I am the boss. But I don’t ...silly man. Any way thank you for the anniversary card and the Christmas card. They were both so pretty...oh yeah Susan when you go to get those meds they are cheaper at the Dollar store than at the drug store...dont know about the mucnix if there is a generic of it or not....he might not need that tho...usually about 2 to 3 doses of that and it does its job...

  

LOU:::: yes there was a notice on the main board yesterday that there would be a change on the boards today....i think I like it better it isn’t so clutteed and lights flashing and all that crap all the time. And it seems like it loads a little faster doesn’t it to you all.

I think you will make it to the  60 pounds off by Christmas...Are you coming to the COF Christmas party? I sure hope so...you need to tell Janet if you are ok...they need to know how many tables we will need

BEC::::::::: there does seem to be more needs to be met at this time of year doesn’t it? Don’t know why unless I think a lot of people like me cant do anything outside and just live to be out in the dirt. Lol actually I went out in the green house and potted up some tomatoe plants ...i have some really nice looking ones that came up in the dirt that I put in some of the pots for other flowers. ...pretty neat...they are up about a foot tall now....so I will have tomatoes soon off them lol  I did that year before last  and had tomatoes all winter long . pretty neat huh?

Yeah we have missed most of the bad stuff down here too but its still cold. I cant hardly stand it this cold...i think we are going to be leaving right after

Christmas I hope at least...we may go directly out to AZ first and then come back thru and up the other way lol who knows.

When ever we go is always when it gets warm and stays that way till we get back...

Uhmmmm no IOUs accepted lol ..you know I need that much money to play err  I umm I mean to buy a place for you. Lol ...love you girl , and yes any problems we have sometimes don’t seen as small as they did to others. But always something that you went thru will almost always inspire or give direction to others.

   

RENEE:::::: yeah when you see Dr. have them to give you a scrip or the B-12 injectables and you can give yourself the shots and that way you wont have to wait when you start feeling bad...Dr. H. has me giving myself one every two weeks. And I sure can tell when it is getting time for one. I give myself one on the 1^st and the 15^th or every month. Easier to remember than ever two weeks.. So you are bringing who all with you to the Christmas party..sounds  like that will be a party in its onself lol.

I hope there isn’t any bad weather either. If there is it will kill the party probably, don’t know how many are planning on coming. 

Hey looks like there are plenty to rob that bank, everyone wants to go so will let you be the mastermind behind it all ok?

 

I will have my arms all warmed up to hug anyone and everyone...lol love giving hugs...that is one thing that the more you give away the more you get back lol

  

COR:::::: HEY get with Angie or some of the other girls from up there and form a car pool down to our party on the 22^nd would love to see you. You sound fantastic and like you are doing so well. Yes we all know what you mean about being tired, lot of that is from the surgery and a lot of it is because you are not getting protein....but that is about to change and you need to start getting at lest  60 grams a day and work up to 80...are you on full liquids now whi*****ludes milk ? if so you can start by mixing your protein in about 4 oz of milk and put a little splenda in it so it will taste better.  Then work on getting that down. Once you get it down  drink some water and then about 3 hours after the first one do another one....you will start getting your protein and will start feeling better...if you just absolutely cant use milk? Then maybe you can mix it with something else like crystal light or kool ade....make sure they are sugar free.

 

Or you can go to GNC and get  some bottles of Isopure...and they have 40 grams of protein in one bottle...just make sure it takes you longer to drink it since you can only absorbe 30 grams an hour....or that is what they say....lol had to laugh about the puppy getting your vit. Guess he will start being healthy. Lol...as soon as they let you swallow pills you can get the Super B complex and it has your B\1 in it ..plus all the other b vits.  I get some from Puritans pride that are pretty small and will be easy enough to swallow ...I started taking pills at one month out but I think I pushed it a little cause I can not get  liquids down...

That is ok about not letting me know about the samples lol you have been sort of busy ...

Im not a coffee drinker either..do you like hot choc....there is a hot choc mix with no sugar and you could do it the same way and use hot choc instead of coffee. That might be really good.  About the coffee bitterness you might try some of the sugar free coffee creamers too. Or add more splenda....

 

I guess you had your appoijntmet already and know that it was nothing . weight, ask if any problems, told to go to the next stage. Lol  not much .

JANET::::a. That’s a shame that you cant get to KC but you can change doctors without her approval and she does have to let you have the info from your tests to you or your new doctor... a lot of them like to pretend like they are that powerful but they aren’t.

SUSIE:::::: lol I know what you mean, I tried to play softball and cant throw worth a darn...i use to be a good pitcher of softball but it just sort of with plop out of my hand about 3 ft from where I stood lol ...felt like a fool. Your right at least we weren’t sitting staring at the boob tube.

Yeah im not a great big fan of the beach but right now it really sounds great..at least the warm sand and sun sounds good doesn’t it? How is the weather in NC where your hubby is? Do you think he went there on purpose?

Hey Susie you might get the snow blower to melt the ice if you just sit it on top of it and let it sit on each spot for a minute...lol don’t worry you will get to use that snow blower before long. Lol

   

SANDY:::: OH man that is the pits , why do you think is the reason for your feet to start to feeling like that again. You vent all you want....you think it could be the extra weight you gained? Don’t see how but who knows.

Don’t go getting depressed, that wont help you any at all....so if you want to vent on here just get on here and vent all you want ok? Know that we will all be praying for you. Love and hugs........

Good Morning Guys & Gals.....
Thought Id drop a  line or two while I have my coffe...Then I got to get busy and finish getting my stuff together to hit the road....
We decided to leave today to go get Bubba..We still got pretty nasty roads down this way and then we are suppose to get thunderstorms Thurs....So Bubba told us to leave today and get a room on him if we wanted to...Then I wont be having to drive part of the time in the dark if we happen to have bad roads on up that way....I hope to hit the road about 9 or lil after...Then I have to stop and get the Princess, she's ridding up to meet up with her dad to stay a few days....We will be meeting in Rolla and that is where Hollie and I are getting a room for the night....
Was all last minit deciding so I hope I dont forget anything lol lol.....
Susie & Rachael....I will be giving you both a ring a lil later to talk to you about tomorro and get directions.....So excited about getting to see ya both!!!

Not to much to cover down this way....We got what was suppose to be several counties north of us and still have some crappy roads...I don't think they prepared fast enough since we weren't reallly suppose to get much....

We got a few runny noses but for the most everyones doing pretty good....

No school today so maybe I will get somethings done. I have so much I need to do. I haven't even thought about Christmas cards. I am afraid I may not get any out this year. I think with the economy most people will understand.
I had a craving for hot chocolate this morning and of course all I had was the packets with sugar in them. I did have have cocoa powder and it had a recipe on it. I used splenda instead of sugar and it is not to bad. I even topped it off with cool whip. I had never made any before. It has protein in it to.I made it with skim milk so It got me to about 10 grams of protein. It tastes better than most of the protein powders too.
I am having trouble getting all my water in. I feel like I drink or should I say sip all the time. I have been counting and I am coming up short. I am not sure how to fix it. I have found a cystal light I really like-fruit punch. Never thought fruit punch would be good but it is. How much does the taste change when you add protein powder to it? I have tried several different concoctions and poured them all out because of taste. I hate to keep wasting protein.
I am trying to stay off the scales but it is hard. I think they have moved one pound in the last three weeks.I hope it starts moving soon. I would hate to go through all this for 30 pounds. I will say if this had happened on a diet I would have given up and started eating again by know. Three weeks would have been my limit. I need the reward to keep me going.
I am looking forward to meeting Tammy tomorrow and Rachel. I hope her travel is safe and she gets here ok.Stay warm everyone.

Good morning to all is everyone staying warm sure is cold again today the next 3 day's are supposed to be in the 40's but monday only 25 for a high we will have to dress warm . thank's for the information jan on the medicne store brand sure is cheaper and work's just as good. jan you are right time does fly by when you are having fun andy and i worked togther a lot too i told him when he was the supervisor at our job he was the boss there but i was the boss at home lol.we are married 22 year's now.look's like another day of working out in the house too cold outside to go walking.

bec you sure do a lot of walking in your house you might have track's in the rug by now lol. i like to walk outside such a nice area here to go walking. maybe when andy and i get to come your way again we can go walking on your road togther.how was your day at the bakery?

cor i know you are glad to be off of the liquid's andy had a really hard time too taking those nasty tasting pill's he mixed his sometimes with no sugar add apple sauce. he would also eat cottage cheese time to time it helped with the taste left in his mouth.

Dear Auntie Jan and OH Peeps~

Well, I tried to post normally and submit it-and once again, it messed up. I lost the curser and wouldnt let me finish typing. I got 2 paragraphs done and the curser disappeared on me. So here I am in word again and I am praying it doesnt look like it did yesterday! Gee Gads!

Well, just when we thought yesterday that the kiddos would go back to school today-it started freezing rain AGAIN, late afternoon and then last night, it snowed on top of the sleet/freezing rain! ARGH! So-the roads are even worse than they have been-they havent been totally cleared yet-or even close (out here anyway) and then we just added to it. Again and again and again! The boys are starting to get cabin fever and I would love to see a ray of sunshine!! Its been gray and doomey out for 4 days now-YUCK!

Yesterday, my mom had her dr appt. She got bad news-her liver and kidneys are getting worse, instead of better! She was really depressed and said she just wanted to be alone. I begged her to come out here and bake cookies with us-but she wasnt having any part of it. Told her that the worst thing she could do is sit at home by herself and dwell on it. She said she couldnt bear to be around her grandkids right now. Soooo-all the girls (Megan, Stephanie and Rose) all headed out here, in my moms car. That was such a nice surprise! They didnt tell me they were coming out-because they figured I would tell them to stay put! Little boogers! Megan said she did like 20 all the way out and put it in neutral on the hills and before the stop signs (little secret-in case you all didnt know that-the tires stop turning and its easier to slow down and stop that way) so-they asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with them. Told them that I would go BUT.....I drive AND...IF we slide once, we are coming home. They agreed. It took forever to get there, but we didnt slide and we got to spend a couple of hours together, which was nice. I did manage to get 2 of my gifts picked up while we were there-without the girls knowing it-LOL....that was nice!

Tomorrow or Friday, we are going to finish our shopping for the COF party and get some of the projects done before the weekend. I still have so much to do-I just hope I have enough time to get everything done.....Im okay for the party stuff-Im talking about my house stuff. We have our Christmas with Mikes adopted parents on Saturday-check this out-they have 4 children, all married with children of their own-and they wont even give their parents Christmas eve day OR Christmas Day-but man, they expect money for their gifts every yr-just makes me sick to my stomach! They treat them like crap-and all of them but one family live within 20-30 miles from them! I just dont get it! They always tell us how much our family means to them-because we do things for them and never take their money or whatever-we WANT to help them and we really enjoy their company, playing cards or just talking and having coffee-and they do the same thing for us! So-they had to change their plans for Saturday to accomodate all their selfish kids-and then they will be sitting home alone Christmas Eve and Christmas Day-so we will have a couple extra people at our house on those days!

I HAVE to go to the library today and take our books back. If not-its a 1.00 a day PER book late fee-and between Darrel, Jon and I-we have some 25 books-and I am NOT paying those kinds of fees! So-we will be doing that here in a bit-they are now calling for MORE freezing rain today and tonite and then thunderstorms later tonight into tomorrow....Saying some can be severe! Its suppose to warm up to the 50s tomorrow and Friday and then get really cold again-in the single digits at night and low 20s during the day-no wonder everyone is getting sick. The stupid weather just cant make up its mind and stick with any one thing!

**Jan-Would love to go to the Bahamas. I think I should go with you and make sure that the house is appropriate for everyone (LOL)....heck, Id live in a shack to be there, on the water! They actually have some huts-right on the water and the coffee tables and floors in some of them-are glass and you can see the tropical fish under your hut and stuff-how awesome is that? Would love that!!! Wouldnt that be the life?

I know that my pain management doc doesnt have the power to keep me from other docs-BUT....I signed a contract-as well as ALL her patients that we would NOT be seen by any other doc OR get any pain meds etc-from any other doc-while seeing her. IF you break your contract-she will discontinue to see you as a pt-and I dont want that either, as she is one of the only docs who doesnt think I am a bad person because I wont hop up on the operating table and have a risky back surgery. She understands WHY I dont want to do it right now and she is okay with it. Even when we have to go to the ER or dentist and they give us meds-we are to call her office and make them aware-and Im ok with that. I dont want to replace her-I just want to get the injections, like Joe does, doubling up and they will NOT do that here. I have already checked.

Pain seems to gradually be coming back, but I am doing my best to stay positive! That day and a half-still has me scratching my head.....I am so thankful for it, and feel kinda greedy, because I want more! Im very happy for what I had-dont get me wrong....but I sure wish I could live like that every day! Makes me feel sad sometimes!

On the party-yes, I have had one more response-for 2 people. Yesterday-the girls said they would see if they can come or not-because of their work schedules. Told them they were both welcome to join me-so will see. Would love for them to meet Bec-and for all of you to meet Stephanie-those who havent. It will be nice to hang out with them. I am looking forward to it! Renees clan may all be going with her too-will have to wait and see. She asked if anyone would care-and I said-no, they are adults, they are welcome! So-that would be fun, and I cant wait! Wish I could talk my mom into getting out of the house and coming-I know she would just love everyone like I do!

Anyway-Hope you and Joe have a good rest of the week and I will talk to you soon (email, I mean). Love you both!

**Be****pt meaning to email or respond to Jans post to you-about getting hooked on the pain meds-It is TRUE that you WILL NOT get addicted IF you only take them WHILE/WHEN your in pain! Your body can become reliant on them-when taken long, long term-but YOU WILL NOT become addicted-like jonesing for more or whatever! Take it from me-I had been on some pretty heavy duty stuff the first go around-for 6 yrs-and they told me that I may need to be hospitalized to come off of it-BUT..I weened off of it, all by myself-and it wasnt hard-but I never took them to get high or anything like that-just to control the pain.....so its all good-and we know that you dont do it to get high either-sweety-if you have the meds there-use them-dont sit around in pain-its not worth it-and hopefully, it will go away-thats my prayer for you, every day! I love you and Im sorry your hurting! On a brighter note-I cannot wait to see you next week!

**Sandy-I am saying prayers for you, Im sorry this is happening to you! I pray you dont get depressed too-and yes, your grandkids are looking so forward to seeing their grandma!!! Please keep us posted and we will keep you in our prayers!

   I will sell my house and go with u to Az.  ( but not the caribbean)  I loved Az.  I went there in 2001 as a travel nurse for 6 months (hubby went with me)  and I loved the climate.  Also no humidity, no bugs, (well flies that is) and just loved it.  Hardly any rain but we did have a dust storm while there.
  And wow, do the oranges taste good.  We were there during the blossom time which was so sweet in the air and then we were there for oranges too.  Oh so good!!!!  How is Sugar doing?  I hope alright.  Well got to get busy as I have a lot to do.  Going to venture out for some groceries.  Have a great day  everyone.  Colette

Thanks for the prayers - I am just so tired of the complications.  My back dr got me an appointment with the neurologist Monday the 29th.  I was shocked as it usually takes 2 to 3 months to get into see him.  I have to under go the EMG and needle tests again.  At least my deductable has been met for the year.  Its getting harder to say I would have the RNY again...  I think I will wait until after the tests results are back before asking for something for depression and see if I am ready to give up and say help!

We got 5 inches of snow last night and they say we are going to get freezing rain tonight so will have to cover my car up and hope I can get into it in the morning.

Good Evening, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:

Wow, what a day we had today!  DH and I did the "last" of our Christmas shopping today.  I am soooooo glad and I know he is too!  Even if I did have to go pick out my own pj's for Christmas.  I told him he had to at least wrap them!  lol!

It's calling for freezing rain here tomorrow.  My son, Luke and his best friend, Brad are planning on leaving for Omaha tomorrow around 11am.  They have to wait until then because they both have 1 final to take.  That's exactly the time it's suppose to start getting bad!  We've already told them both that they may have to wait and leave on Friday.  Luke's girlfriend is flying into Omaha to see her best friend and the boys are going down to see them and her parents.  They are both Eagle Scouts, but I wonder about them.  David told them they have to take sleeping bags, 4 bottles of water each.  He and Luke just left to get some deicer stuff for Luke's car and to check his windshield wipers.  He had the oil changed today and the tires were rotated about 2 months ago.  So he should be ready to go.  Just will have to see what the weather does.  Please pray for traveling mercies.  They will be home Sunday afternoon.

I really wish I could come to the COF Christmas Party on Monday.  Sounds like a lot of fun!  You girls will have to be sure and give everyone an extra hug from me!

Well, it's been a long day.  Going to get ready for bed and watch a movie with DH and my boys.

What's happs people?  Another wonderful day in freezing Missouri or should I say Misery?  HA!  I can't believe that Christams is almost here!  I haven't wrapped not one gift. I'm terriable this year.  Frank and I went out and did some last minute shopping, I still have one more gift to get.  We went out for lunch and then I had to go to work.  I think the dropping intrest rates really have people out house hunting.  I got another buyer today! YAY!!!! I'm so happy about that.  They are first time buyers and those are really fun, they are so excited.  Anyway, I hate it I'm going to miss the party on Mon.  I have family comming in from out of town.  I know you will all have a great time.  Today I had a HUGE WOW! I'm in a size 18 OMG!!! they are tight but hell they fit and I was so excited!  I was so scared to get this RNY, terrified at first when the Dr. told me no lap band for you RNY all the way.  But this is the greatest thing on the planet!  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! 56 lbs in 9 weeks and from a 26/28 to an 18 its a MIRACLE hahah!  Hope everyone has a great night! Glad to hear Jeannie is getting better! Lou (~.~)
