WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

I  saw on the board that  couple of you were worried about stretching out your pouch,  Dr. Hornbostel says it cant be stretched, you can stretch the stoma but not the pouch... maybe after year it can be stretched some but not unless you eat a lot and all the time and. You can overeat but I know Susie that no farther than you are out you cant possible eat that much....a stall right off the bat is not that abnormal neither is one at 6 weeks or 6 months or any other time. It is just your bodies way of  figuring out what is going on....

If you have taken your measurements before surgery then anytime you hit a stall measure you will more than likely see you are losing inches.  Check what you are eating and how much protein drinks you are getting in, need to aim at about 80 early out and at least 64 oz of water....i didn’t say that  you would necessarily be able to get that much but aim for it.

 If you can up your protein and water and get some sort of exercise  you will start losing again. Do NOT flush all your food out of your pouch with a big glass of water right after eating. I do have to have small sips at times while I am eating due to my dry mouth and not producing much saliva. I know the arthritis seems  be hurting more now than before surgery and it may be but is due to you moving around more and using joints and muscles that you hadn’t used in a long me. And part of that hurt is that you had give up the arthritis meds you were on before surgery. There is a new arthritis medicine but is in a gel that you rub onto the area that is hurting, it isn’t like the other rubs you can buy in stores , this one has an antiflamotory in it the name is Voltaren gel. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and it is helping. It takes the edge off the pain, to where if it was a 8 before it takes it down to at least a 4...so not bad at all. I did have to use it about a week everyday before I started seeing reduction of pain. ....

Friend of mine in New Orleans said they got 2 inches of snow. But when it quit it started melting.also it snowed in Houston . well how about that.

BEC:::::: well mine poped open at 4:am. So I got up and took my pills and rubbed myself down with the Voltaren gel and then got on the ab lounger...did 50 sit ups and 35 side ups on each side....then 50 leg lifts. . was on there about 30 minutes...will do more later.

It was too cold for me outside.

I knew you would love Andy and Susan...they are just sweet and would do anything for anyone...

Thanks for the prayers for Michele. She is doing so well that God is leading her in the path for her ...She said he just keeps blessing her day in and day out.

That is ok about the treadmill im just thanking God that you have one for me....Joe says I wont use it but I really think I will because I have got to get some form of exercise in and just cant stand the cold. My bones just wont take it. They hurt to bad when they get cold.

SUSIE:::::: sorry about you being a nurse, but teacher is almost the same thing. Both are service providers.  Hey don’t go to any extra trouble or work for us to stay over night...ok

I know we planned on having a generator by this winter so it wouldn’t matter if we lost elect. But of course we didn’t. so far we have been lucky about ice storms...the longest we werer out of elect was for one day. And that wasn’t in the winter but during one of the really bad wind storms we had.

You are already having to have blood work done? Did you get the list that needed to be done from Dr. H????

Did you all not walk with Bec yesterday morning? Too cold for you ? I know it would have been for me. And it sure wasn’t sunny either at least down here. Will pray that on Tuesday weather will be without snow or ice anyway for the head doctor lol

SUGAR::::: oh boy you need to stay away from all your kids I think...go get some airborn and some lysol spray....spray everything you can , use hand santizer  and take the airborn...dont you dare get sick on us,. Lol

Hope you got a good check up with Dr. Edwards....so you are going to him for your post eight loss post up care? That is good that you don’t have to go all the way to St. Louis.

We are having Christmas with our kids on the 27^th ....thought that way they can do what they want to on Christmas day.

Oh yeah they are all wanting to get together for the babies 2^nd birthday again. If they do we need a good photographer...so hopefully you can come down or over or where ever they decide to do it at. I told them they can use my house or we can go somewhere else. What ever they want to do....we had some beautiful pictures of all of them on their first birthday . Sarah said she is wanting to make it a group thing every year for them...i think that is really cute idea....since Teresa is in Az...we need a good photographer that wont be involved with the babies.

LOU:::::hey Frank can come to the party with you ...if your mom cant come...no problem  it is going to be to much fun for you to miss. And network girl....never know when you will meet the right person that is looking for a house or has one to sell that is just a dream come true....glad you got that contract written and I just know they sellers are going to accept and there is Christmas lol .

Have you been to the gym yet? I am trying to set Andy and Susan and I up a gymn with pieces of exercise equipment that no one wants anymore. Then at least we can make each other work out on the equipment that we have. Next spring I hope to get an above ground pool installed too. Wanted to this year just didn’t get it done....

PEGGY ::::: I surely wish you and your DH could come down to our Christmas party on the 22, it would be worth the trip I do believe...lol about the aluminum tree in your computer room lol I knew it would step on someones toes when I said that ...glad it was you and not someone that would get offended by something I think, cause I think it doesn’t make it right , just what I think huh???and that amounts to almost nothing in the grand scheme of things . lol

Joe if he had to work just couldn’t work inside either he would be sick all the time.

TAMMY V::::::: I think way before you get to  165 you will get to a size that your body and you like. I am 5 foot 3 and weigh 159 pounds and wear size 10s. I don’t thing you being 5 ft 7 and 155 is going to to be too thin but I guess you will have to decide that for yourself...can I ask you what size clothes you are in now? If you want to tell me that is?

That is wonderful that your brother in law is doing better.  Praise God....

Rather think of your weight in such a huge amount that you have to lose ...set 10 pound goals....if you can get any exercise in it will help you to get down there. And increase your protein and increase your water....you will be surprised what that all will do.

Good Morning Everyone,

Bbbrr what a cold morning it was yesterday but ended up not being to bad in the afternoon.  Didn’t really do much yesterday,  was still tired from going to Columbia.  We did go to the residents Christmas party at the nursing home where Susan’s dad is,  had a good time there,  he always enjoys doing things like that.  I did put some apple butter into cook in the crockpot  mmmmmmmm the house is smelling so good, makes you wanna dive in and have some  lol.  I hope it turns out ok, if it taste as good as it smells it should be.  Not gonna do much today,  prolly tackle a project or two around the house here and hopefully get some walking in.

***Jan*** I dunno what to say about them pups of mine,  I never expected them to go hiding when it was time to let them out lol  Them silly things they usually are ok,  we had our neighbors in Pilot Knob watch them a couple times and they always went out I think or maybe they didn’t and they just told us they did lol.  We didn’t get to walk with Bec,  her road was pretty icy and by the time it was starting to thaw we needed to get up to the hospital to see Cor before she left,  it looks like tho she has a nice place to walk, quiet and no traffic for sure,  maybe next time we get back up there we’ll be able to walk with her,  she’ll prolly be jogging by then tho  lol.

***Bec*** I have some applebutter cooking, my goodness its makes the whole house smell so good,  I sure hope it tastes that good, if it don’t I’ll just use it for potpourri or something  lol.  Yeah that meat you trapped for breakfast was really good,  least you didn’t have to go out in the cold to trap it  hahaha  I hope next time Jan is up there you fix her a high protein breakfast like that, she’ll just love it  LOL.  You are just the best hostess in the state of Missouri, we felt like royalty at your place,  you and your husband both are so sweet,  wish we could of visited more with Paul,  hopefully next time.  Hope the computer is working good for ya,  was really my pleasure to have a look at it,  I love doing stuff like that,  maybe I’ll go to school for that instead of nursing lol.

***Barbara*** I am so glad you are doing better and so happy Baby is finally home with you,  I know you have to be so relieved she is doing better,  that’s just great you found her a car seat,  I’ve seen them for dogs, that’s just so neat.  Take care of the both of you and get better soon.

Dr appointment went well yesterday and I got my blood tests done while there too so that is done for awhile again. They said my b-6 was a little HIGH from the last test but if I wasnt having any symptoms from it, it was probably a mistake. The symptoms of too much b-6 is tingling in the ends of your fingers and toes...hum???? wierd huh? Well I havent so that is good. It all went well and they said I was right on track and looked good. My weight according to their scale was not what mine says and lets just say, I LIKE MINE BETTER! lol  There was a 6 lb difference which would put me still aways from my goal but its ok. My bmi is normal even at that weight and they seemed very pleased. Did you all know dr edwards is now doing some plastic surgery that can be included with the price of his wls.????? Someday if the economy ever gets better and I can trust the future some, I might spend our $ on a little surgery, but not now, not the way things are looking. UGH!!!

Well, I got to get to the gym. I wont have sick boys today but I will have them at noon cause this is thier 1/2 day at school so I have to get my running done early.

Skyler ask me yesterday if I would take him shopping for his mama a bracelet for Christmas. He said he was thinking she would like that. lol  So I may take them today to look a little.

Chelle is still sick but going to work, poor baby. I know she doesnt feel like it but has to. Please pray for her and for the boys not to get strep from her.

My throat keeps hurting but goes away after awhile. Im praying it isnt anything but sinus drainage.

Well, Janet I sure am praying that you are ok. Love ya sweetie.

Bec, Andy and Susan....sounds like you had a blast. JEALOUS!!! sigh.....

Suzie, we may just meet you at the library tomorrow ....was wondering if it would be back tracking for us to come to your house and then back to Osage Beach. Jan and I could go to the outlet mall for a little while till time for the meeting. Let us know what you think.

I hope Jeanine is doing ok, so sorry to hear about her being in the hospital. Pneumonia is tough when you are recovering from surgery.

I saw Dr H yesterday for my first post op. I missed the first one because I was in the hospital. He wasn't concerned about my stall or the amount of weight I have lost. Just told me to move more ,get my protein and water. Guess I will have to make myself exersice.

Tammy the weather man now says Monday ,Tues, Weds, and Thursday may be icy. You might want to come on Thursday  to be sure you are here when he is released.

I hope everyone else is doing well and getting ready for the nasty weather thats coming.Looking forward to seeing everyone at the BBF party.

Good Morning Guys & Gals.....
Haven't posted much in a few days so I thought Id drop in and say HOWDY....
Been busy running and cleaning....
I took my mom to town yesterday to finish up her Christmas shopping and whewww did she wear me out....One of her friends and my oldest daughter went with us and we had a blast.....It's so good to get out with the ladies now and then....

Today Im getting things done around the house so I have nothing to do tomorrow.... Joe and I have a date with my best friend Chell and her husband....We are always so tied up with kids, grandkids and things around the house we hardly go and do anything. It's making us old way tooooo fast.....So we are going to start reserving every other Sat night just for us.... Chell and I are thinking of starting a friend night once a month and let it build by letting our other friends invite different couples and all of getting together to go for supper or do a simple supper at someones house and play games... I miss not having a life outside my kids....Heck they have consumed our life for sooooo long I don't even remember when we even stop having our own life ...LOL LOL LOL 
Im counting down the days till I get to go pick up Bubba at Ft. Leonard Wood... He gets to come home for a few weeks for Christmas!!!!
Ive not been on the base and don't know a thing about what's what ....But Susie has offered to meet up with us and show us around....Im just tickled to death to get to meet her while Im up that way!!
And if nothing happens we are going to meet up with Rachael for a lil visit too.... It still amazes me that Susie and Rachael live so close together and have not met each other or don't know about each other....
Girls Im looking soooo forward to meeting you both!!!! And if any of you other gals live up that way and live close enough to join us it would be wonderful to see yall too.. This will be on Thursday, Dec 18th....

We could use some prayers this way if yall would....My lil Princess is home from school sick today.... For now it's just a lil fever, cough and runny nose...But the stuff running is clear...but she is one of them kids that is a lil sick one second and sick as all get out the next....We have this issue with her every winter....She has taken so much med for this kinda stuff it's gotten to where she would rather be beat than take more meds lol lol....just kidding....She really hates her breathing treatments...she is so hyper and full of energy it's hard for her to stay still long enough to get em done....
And Hollie (my future DIL) could use your prayers as well....She has been sick for most of the last 2 weeks.... She's got tonsil issues and they are going to have to come out soon....Yesterday they were so swollen I don't even know how she could breath!! She's in the middle of changing doctors but we hope to get things set for her to get them out soon...I think she will feel much better when she does....

Jan...It was wonderful getting to talk to ya on line last night.... I see ya on sometimes when I get on but hate to bother ya cause Im afraid Ill catch ya while your doing your post....But yell anytime..I love yacking...dont matter to me if it's online or on the phone. Im just a natural born yacker I guess....hahahahahahahahahaa
Im praying for your daughter...I know how it can be for single moms out on their own tying to not only make it but wonder about starting over with a relationship...I think she is doing the smart thing by taking her time...
My oldest daughter is single too....She's dated some but just worried sick about starting anything with anyone because of all the crap she's dealt with from men and relationships....She's having issues at the moment with her ex boyfriend...He is a pain in our butts and is off his dang rocker....I think he is even stalking her....I had her cell number changed so he couldn't bother her, so now he bugs me to death and sends all his threats thru me....He knows alot of our phone numbers because they were together for awhile...He keeps saying we should change the numbers so he can't bother us and I told him NO...he should be a mature adult and just not call the numbers....I have had the same number for 8 years and way tooo many have it for me to go and change it for an idiot!!!!...I think with the things he is saying in his text messages and the way he keeps showing up at places she or I are at, we need to go see about getting something done about him.....He's not done anything drastic yet but you never know how long stupid people will make threats before they actually do something stupid or dangerous!

If anyone hears from Janet today please drop a line and let us know how shes doing... Im going to text her in a few and see if she happens to respond....

Susie.....Sweetie thanks so much for all the info and for offering to help me out with finding my way around on the base..... And your such a sweetheart for offering me a place to stay!!! Andy....Boy I sure could use you down my way.....I got a puter acting up too lol lol.... Im soooooo glad I have my lap top as back up cause Id go nuts not being able to get online....Im working on the PC, trying to get things cleaned out of it and running all the cleanups and checks on it...And taking out all the stuff the kids have put on there....So hopefully that will help....Im in hopes to get it cleaned up enough it will let me get all my pics off as I have a ton of them of the kids and grandbabies on there and then Im going to try and reformat it myself....Ive done it a time or two before but it's been ages so hopefully I don't mess things up!!

Renee....I hated to hear your daughter is thinking of moving away!!! I know how you feel... 2 of mine got a wild hair a couple years ago and decided to move to N.Carolina with my sister!!! I still had 2 here but OMG was I missing the other 2!! And I had never been more than 1-2 days without seeing my Princess (my grand daughter) and to have to go several months was hell on me!!! And she would cry and cry till my daughter didn't know what to do with her so she would call me late at night and say mom please talk to her and see if you can get her to settle down...And I hated it!!! She would beg and beg me to come to the Carowinas and get her... She would say please Nannie Im misten you!!!....She was only 2 and just didn't understand how far apart we really was!!! ....The day she called to tell me they were moving back I nearly jumped thru the ceiling!! LOL

Sugar...I hope someone is getting you a day planner for Christmas!!! I don't know how you could keep up with all you do without one!!

Well Ive got to get off here and get calls done and get my house work done....Going to have the Princess and my lil Lady Bug tonight and they keep me on my toes.... They both are usually good but I have to stay on my toes as the Princess-Christa (4) wants to play mommy to Lady Bug-Cheyenne (3mo).....And if I don't respond fast enough when she whimpes a lil *****rista will be trying to get her for me lol lol......

Ive just got to get me a note book just for OH so I can keep up with everyone as I know Ive missed some people but we are so big I can't keep up with everyone!! I almost need a OH secretary!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAA
