WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY
Was craving something today and didn’t know what it was so I made myself some Protein soufflé mmmmmmmy gooooooooood. I love that stuff. Thanks Peggy for that recipes I still don’t have any of the little cups to bake it in today I put it in a pan inside another bigger pan and made it well it was really thin in it but it still turned out very good. I put pecans and apples in it...Im going to try raisins and nuts next time. Makes a good thing to eat with the protein in it but does bloat me some.
Went to town today to pick up some things we needed. We have all decided that for this Christmas we aren’t going to have it till the Saturday after Christmas and then we are going to have finger foods more or less. Sandwiches, fruit,veggies and dip and chips and dip....i said I didn’t want to cook for this one lol
Andy and Susan got back home just fine this afternoon....so I guess they didn’t have too much up north. We had some snow on the ground this morning but it soon either blew away or melted , don’t know which. Lol
I had so many phone calls today , from all sorts of people. Ones I wanted to talk to and ones I didn’t . I ran my battery down twice....dont you just hate to be tied to a phone cord anymore. I would imagine that a lot of younger people on here have never used a house phone that was on a cord .
I found some of the cutest things today to put in the kids stockings. I always load their socks down with a lot of odds and ends. Im going to stop by the dollar store in Ozark on Saturday morning...need some more little things.
I belong to the site on the web called My Points and I cashed in all my points the other day for wal mart gift cards. I got 4 50.00 cards and 4 -25.00 gift cards. I told Joe that was a time well worth spending a few minutes at a time on the computer...course ive been collecting those points for quite some time lol but that is ok ‘...any of you that don’t belong to My Points let me know and I will send your name and email to them and I will get points if you join lol
Oh I got a phone call yesterday from the girl that runs the weight loss unit at Cox....she said that they were still not doing a support group and wanted to know when our next meeting was. So told her about the Christmas party she wanted to know if she could come and bring some of the girls that have had the surgery and what should they bring. I told her she could bring any wls friendly dish and that if they wanted to play the gift game to bring a wrapped gift. So we may have some new people there ...that will be fun wont it? We will see anyway.
TAMMY:::::: yes you may very well be allergic to the real tree. Every year around Christmas time all 6 of us kids that decorated our tree would break out and get so sick...mama said we always had the measles . lol wasn’t until I had left home and I called mama and said well I don’t have the measles this year. But then the next week when I went home for Christmas I broke out again. ..i told mama you know what I think we are all allergic to that darn tree in the house. That was the last year we had a real tree. From then on Mama bought an artificial one. Lol the first one was an aluminum tree with the spinning colored light that sat at the bottom and shined on it. Have any of you ever seen one? Really ugly in my opinion. Lol
Good for you to go to your support group. It really helps to stay on track....

LOU::::: that is fantastic to lose 3.5 pounds in a week that is great. If you can keep that up you will have all that weight gone before long you know

Well we have a trailer for the trike but it closes up...as little as you are you could get in there for sure but you might get a little crowded in there. Since we have to close it up lol
Don’t know when we will be leaving for our trip . yes we want to go to Az to see Teresa.

RENEE:::::: these court proceedings. See what happens when the bleeding hearts have their say in how they have to do business. I don’t think anyone that does all these bad things have any rights. I believe they give them up when they choose to act like animals. So they should be treated like an animal.
Im sure you and Tiff will both be beside themselves if they move to Ca. that will be awful. But sometimes we hve to learn to let go and it sure isn’t easy not in the least...

ANDY AND SUSAN::::: glad you all are back home safe and sound. Yes I figured that you couldn’t get it in your trunk....even tho you could probably haul a couple of cows in there. Lol ...we will get it sometime. Bec said that if the weather was good she would pull the little trailer down with it on it. ....glad you all are safe , in this winter weather you never know for sure.

I know you miss your daughter and my heart always goes out to anyone that misses there children! I only get mine together twice a year and that nearly kills me so I try and make the very very most of when they are here with me. I hope you have a very nice visit with her on the phone. And the Lord will comfort you concerning this.

I woke up too early this morning, ARTHRITIS is not my friend. I thought if I lost weight it would get better but it has gotten worse. Even my knees hurt and they are metal.
JAN I am not a nurse,I have thought about becoming one but never went back to school. I am a substitute teacher and yes they did call me yesterday and I acually said no. I had to many errands to do. I am sprucing up the guest room for you.
BEC I am glad you are coming Saturday. It will be good to see you again.
I wish everyone was able to get to get together at one time. I guess Missouri is to big for that to ever happen.
The weather man just said to get your generators ready for next week cause we may have an ice storm. Not sure how much but when they said have extra batteries and supplies in case it caught my attention. I do not want another ice storm. We were lucky last time and only lost power for 30 minutes. Might not be so lucky next time.
I am off to my check up today. I hope my blood work turns out ok.

Good morning to all is everyone staying warm the wind sure was cold when we got home yesterday thank you joe and jan for coming over to check on our kid's they sure were glad to see us we ran into a little bit of ice on tuesday afternoon but we made it to bec house ok she truly is a sweet lady she was cold there on wednesday morning only 8 burr lol bec thank's again for all you did for andy and i while we were there you did a lot for us we really enjoyed our time there with you and paul and tito how is he doing today he is a good dog.look foward to seeing you and paul at the christmas party.

Well today is going to be one of those days...dont know yet if Chelle is well enough to go back to work so I might have Christian later if she does. Skyler went back to school yesterday. When I picked him up from school he said "you know grammy, all those days I was sick? I didnt talk much cause I didnt feel like talking---well today at recess I talked and talked and talked alot and then when I went back in to class, I got really sleepy and just laid my head down on my desk and fell asleep. I guess I talked so much it wore me out" lol! Hes a hoot!
When I dropped him off at his house he went in first thing and loved on his mom and ask how she felt and then ask if there was anything he could do for her or get her? He is sooooo sweet and kind. Just love that little bugger!
I had to pick up the other 4 grandkids yesterday and take them home as thier mom (my dil) was sick to her stomach. Last night I got real nauseated feeling and I went to bed early. I feel ok this morning.
Today is the gym and then to Dr Edwards for a check-up. I guess it will be considered my 18 month check-up although it is really 19 months. lol But I will get him to order the blood workup to see where I stand with that. I want to get it done before the end of the year because of the insurance and using up all of our $ in a reserve...cant waste them. Otherwise I will have to go spend what is left in there on tylenol and such just so we dont loose what we had held out of his check. (one of those pre-tax plans)
Hoping that is about all I have to do today cause I need to get busy on some projects here at home. I want to finish something for the party on the 22. That is getting so close.
We will have Christmas with our kids on the 21 after church that day. Then COF on the 22, then I think Rick and I are going to Branson for the 24, 25 and shopping on the 26 and then to Mtn Home Ark for Christmas with his folks and come home on the 28. So that week will be busy..

Happy am to everyone! Hope everyone is doing great. Frank and I are going shopping today, I have a few more gifts to get. Hopefully I can make the Christmas party, I was going to see if my mom was going to come. I know at the last meeting we were talking and we didn't think we could make it because we have family comming in from out of town. I will talk to her today and see what's up. I did write a contract on a house and we are just waiting to see if they accept it. I think they will, so it will be a happy Christmas for my buyer, I hope. No tree yet, yesterday was crazy we didn't even make it to the gym until 7pm, so that's my number one priority today. I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Lou(~.~)
Sitting here, sipping protein coffee and trying to get my day organized. More shopping to do, but I think I'm close to being done...yippee! I was telling Bec on the Eatin' Good thread that I now have TWO cold sores and boy, are my lips plumped....some movie stars PAY to have these lips!!! lol
Jan....I am so glad you like those souffle's...they are so comforting to me. Warm and filling. I have used pecans, raisins, craisins and even tried it chocolate (too sweet). I haven't tried banana yet, but I will. Even now, I'm thinking about getting bananas at the store today to let them get brown. Just don't try to eat them in the car....right, Colette? And my husband has the gray day issue, too. Years ago, he worked in a plastics factory so he went to work in the dark and came home in the dark. Our marriage almost didn't make it....he was super depressed all winter long and we couldn't figure out why. Now he works outside (for the phone co.) and yes, he gets cold, but he is a much happier man. And remind me not to show you the tree in my computer room....it's aluminum!!! lol...yeah, they're tacky but I love it. Course, that's probably WHY I love it!
Ok, I'm a little chatty this morning....maybe the caffeine? So I really need to get moving and get outta here. I pray all of you manage to accomplish the things you have set out to do....and that no more illness comes upon any of us. Please forgive any typo's this morning. I am typing on Luke's laptop. I have a natural keyboard so a regular one is really different to me. My PC is in the shop. DH has been complaining for a year now that it runs too slow. I hope to get it back later tonight.
I started getting a sore throat a couple days ago and am coughing. I think I'm getting what DH had a few weeks ago and what the kids in my SS class have got along with some of the kids at school. Thankfully, I have most of my Christmas shopping done. Really wanted to fini**** up today and tomorrow. Won't be doing that. I'm going to the doctor today and get on some meds. Don't want it to get really bad like it did the last time. Takes me forever to get well when I don't nip it in the bud.
DH didn't get that job he really wanted. He was very disappointed. I reminded him that apparently it wasn't the job that God intended for him to have. We just have to keep on trusting our Heavenly Father and believe that He will provide the perfect job at the perfect time. His timing is always perfect. God Is Good All The Time. All The Time God Is Good!
Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Been busy subbing, shopping, etc. I think that's one reason I got this crud. Seems when I do too much I get sick. It really bums me out too.
Guess I'll close for now. I am praying for all those who need it. I love each and everyone of you. Let's remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. :)
