When I woke up from surgery, I was just really groggy. Once I was good and awake they took me to a room where I stayed for a couple of hours - my doctor required me to pee before I could leave. Really, surgery was easy, I felt great the next day. Day 3 was my roughest (probably from overdoing on Days 1 & 2). Feel free to ask me any questions.
No, the port doesn't bother me. It did at first when trying to shave my legs but I'm used to it now. Every once in a while when I bend over on my left side I can feel it and have to reposition myself.
I was not hungry at all the first week. But be warned by about week 3 the swelling will be gone and those old hunger pains will return with a vengence. You'll be able to eat anything and everything you want because with no fill yet, you'll be basically like you were before surgery. Just try to be mindful of that. Will you doctor do your first fill at 6 weeks out? When is your surgery?
