KC, MO anyone? Liberty area....

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone has any info about the Northlands area of Kansas City, Missouri? There is a possiblilty that we may be tranferring there.
I've done a tiny bit of research, and it looks like Liberty is a nice area with good schools. Can anyone give me some first hand insight?
I'd also like info on other nearby towns, that are safe, have good schools, and would not be a terribly long commute to the north part of KC. Someone mentioned Kearney, too.
And realistically, what's the weather like? City-data makes it look like it snows 6 months out of the year. Please tell me this isn't true....
Finally, I am right at 7 weeks out and will need to find a doc for follow-up care. Any recommendations?

Bama mama dont know a thing about kansas city , im sure there are lots on here that do. i just wanted to welcome you to the Mo board. hope you will make your home here with us.... Dr. Hornbostel is a great surgeon , is that what you wanted a weight loss surgeon. dont know if he will take others patients but he might...
no i dont think it snows 6 months out of the year but it being in the northern part of the state does get more snow than we see down here in the very most southern part of the state. li hope someone from that area will come on and tell you the answers you want to know.
but welcome welcome welcome to MO...

As far as a surgeon, mine is Dr. Price out of St. Luke's. St. Luke's is located downtown. He is a very good surgeon and is very caring and compassionate. He saved my life a couple of times because I had several complications after surgery. I would recommend him to any and every one. His number is 816-932-5378. BTW, he is from the south too! He came to Mo from Louisiana!

Oh, does anyone know of a support group in Kansas City North?
Thank you!

Dr. Price is my doctor too and I highly recommend him.
It doesn't snow 6 months out of the year. Right now, we're having temps in the70s but that can change any minute. Some winters are very milk, you just never know from year to year.
