Ulcer or gallstones, or something else?

Hey everyone. So here's what's going on, the past 3 days I've had a stabbing pain in my upper abdomen. It hurts to eat, drink, breathe, and move. I just finished a two month prescription of prilosec that dr. Price gave me after surgery.  I've been burping a lot more lately and so I am thinking it may be an ulcer or something. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have an appointment to see my surgeon on Thursday. Should I wait until then, or call my PCP tomorrow?

Thanks for your help!

I think your guesses are good. It depends on how much pain you are in whether you wait until Thursday. I know that when I was in a severe GB attack I could only stand it for about 4 hours and then if it hadn't stopped I'd have had to go to the ER. Ulcer wasn't as severe. Can't really advise you - you know your own body best.

Thanks for your advice. I think I will try and wait until Thursday. If it gets worse, I'll go in before that. I'm hoping not to have to have another surgery. But if it'll make me feel better....it'll be worth it.

Thanks again.
